Time of Reading 4:10 to 4:30 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Tennessee. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1645].
2. As we find, there are disturbing conditions that prevent the normal activity of the physical forces of the body. These as we find are rather complex, or a combination of disturbances.
3. Hence it may be indicated or appear that most every organ is disturbed in its reaction in some way or manner.
4. These as we find arise basically from a toxic condition that arises from a subluxation in the cerebrospinal system, that first affected the activity of the liver as related to both heart and the kidneys.
5. Thus an abnormal condition has been produced within the organ of the heart, as well as a dropsical condition through the pelvis and through the lumbar axis areas.
6. These then are conditions as we find them with this body, [1645] we are speaking of:
7. First, IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, we find indications of an abnormal disturbance in the heart itself; that is, an engorgement owing to the full circulation in the internal circulation; thus filling the heart, with a lack of the circulation through the liver and the opposite pole (or the kidneys) to purify these portions of the system.
8. This then indicates a toxic condition through the bloodstream itself, and rather the inclination for an excess of blood with the lack of the abilities for the functioning of the organs to purify same in the circulatory system.
9. As we will find, this produces definite disturbances in the organs as indicated that are hindered in activity by this circulatory condition.
10. IN THE NERVOUS SYSTEM, we find, as indicated, there was in times back - through a strain - a subluxation produced in the 4th and 5th dorsal center or plexus.
1645-1 Page 2
11. From this we have a lesion that extends along the cerebrospinal system to the 9th dorsal plexus, also in the 4th lumbar plexus; as indicated by disturbances that have been produced by the deflection of the impulses from the nervous system.
12. True, the cerebrospinal nervous system impulses arise from the brain center, while the sympathetic impulses arise from their association with impulses along centers of the cerebrospinal system.
13. But because of influences from without, or the sensory forces, or the mental reactions that the body makes to circumstances or conditions about it, FEAR has been allowed to enter into the activities of the physical forces. And so oft has the body been told that the disturbance was this or that; and owing to lack of proper eliminations through the alimentary canal and improper influences from other portions of elimination, poisons have been left until there is fear-poison as well as functional conditions in the bodily forces themselves.
14. These all as we find may be materially aided and near to normal conditions result. It will require patience, persistence, faith; and application CONSISTENTLY.
15. Live and think in constructive ways, FIRST!
16. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF THE ORGANS THEMSELVES, as indicated, we find that all of the organs of the sensory system are involved; the hearing, the sight, the taste, the smell - ALL are disturbed at times. Unusual odors may occur for the body when they do not exist to others. An unusual fear or feeling of the presence of this or that may occur, without the apprehension or understanding of same from others. The body is disturbed by the hearing of noises, and the lack of hearing at all at other times. The vision is gradually becoming impaired, physically; as well as the taste.
17. All of these are the effects of those disturbances of the character or nature as indicated through the sympathetic or the vegetative nerve forces, and their lack of proper coordination with the cerebrospinal impulses of the body.
18. Through the bronchials, the larynx, the lungs - these we find very good considering the amount of poisons that exist in the system, and that are influencing the lymph and emunctory circulation through soft tissue of head, face, throat and especially the lungs.
19. The heart's activity, as we have indicated, has been increased until the size of the organ itself has been and is out of the ordinary condition - or the vortex has been so filled as to cause impulses to arise that cause a filling of
1645-1 Page 3
the organ itself.
20. It is rather the effect of poisons and the lack of the return circulation through the superficial activities of the system, or the veins rather than the arteries. The arteries and heart and liver remain too full, with too much of the blood itself in the system.
21. In the activity of the digestive system - through the impulses as have been received by the subluxation which has existed - we find that the torpidity of the liver has gradually caused the left lobe to show the effect of the slowed blood circulation; spots in same, as would be indicated by the conditions that exist.
22. Also there has been the impairment to the proper circulation and the flow of impulse to the kidneys, from which activities should eliminate conditions as of the uric poisoning from the system, purifying the blood for the rest of the circulation.
23. Hence there are the indications that - through pressures produced by the reflexes from not only the subluxation in the upper dorsal and the 9th dorsal plexus, or the solar plexus, but the lumbar plexus as well - the fluids tend to gather in too great a quantity (the lymph) in the abdominal area.
24. Hence the swelling that has been indicated in the system; in the feet and lower limbs at times, especially in the ankles and in the bursa of the heel and the central portion of the limb itself. The knees at times give disturbance, and aching. All of these are a portion of the effect from the slowed circulation and lack of the proper eliminations from the system, and the lack of coordination between the alimentary canal eliminations and the effect of the kidney and its elimination - the perspiratory system as well as the respiratory system.
25. AS WE FIND, THEN, IN MAKING THE CORRECTIONS:
26. First, as indicated, THINK RIGHT!
27. Secondly, think right to do something ABOUT it! Quit feeling, or DON'T FEEL SORRY FOR SELF! Know that the conditions which exist are a part of thy experience! Use them as stepping-stones, not as stumbling-stones!
28. Let the body, then, be filled with the desire to be good; not merely good but good FOR something - for others! Quit thinking of self! Think of doing something constructive for someone else!
29. Then, first:
30. Have an OSTEOPATH to make the corrections - gradually, not all at once but gradually - in the upper dorsal, the 9th dorsal and 4th lumbar. These pressures gradually removed,
1645-1 Page 4
we will gradually remove the strain upon the system.
31. During the next two weeks have at least two high colonic irrigations. Not all at once, but gradually eliminate those impactions that exist in the ascending colon.
32. Have with these enemas the oil enema, or as a part of same.
33. The day before the enemas are given, use Castor Oil packs for at least two hours - OVER the liver and the caecum area, or extending from the lower portion of the abdomen and the caecum to the lower portion of the rib; from the lower portion of the hipbone to the lower portion of the rib, on the right side. Have three or four thicknesses of heavy flannel saturated in Castor Oil, and used as hot as the body can stand same. This will absorb as well as loosen the activities of all the intestinal tract, as well as the congestion in the liver itself.
34. After the first two or three high enemas or colonic irrigations, these would then be given at least once a month or oftener if there is the inclination for the lack of activity through the alimentary canal.
35. The applications of the Oil Packs will furnish sufficient heat and stimulation for the superficial circulation to gain a good perspiration; and let the perspiration be active in that sense as given of old, "for in the sweat of the brow shall man eat bread."
36. Live rather upon fruit juices and vegetable juices. No meats of any character until all of these disturbances have been eliminated. For strength, Beef JUICES may be taken; not broth but the beef JUICES - small quantities often.
37. Do not take cathartics, but plenty of fruit juices and vegetable juices - and raw vegetables; until the condition IS eliminated.
38. Keep these activities until the swelling, the inclinations for the smothery feeling or spells from the heart and liver activity have been eliminated.
39. Be consistent, be persistent.
40. If these are done persistently, consistently, we will find bettered conditions for this body.
41. Do these things, then; and as these are applied, keep the mental attitude constructive.
42. Ready for questions.
43. (Q) Why won't kidneys act? (A) This condition has been described in those things indicated, and following the suggestions as given we will find that such disturbances will be relieved.
44. (Q) Is the apex of heart missing or off? (A) Rather, as we have indicated, it is too full in its
1645-1 Page 5
size, owing to the flow of the deep circulation and lack of superficial circulation; owing to those subluxations as indicated, in the impulses from cerebrospinal system to functioning of the organs. Do these as have been outlined, and we will bring the better conditions for this body.
45. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (7/22/38 GD's note to [1645]: Please find extra copy of directions [which was enclosed] for osteopath; also for hydrotherapist. Let us know the name of the osteopath you choose to give you these treatments, also the name of the hydrotherapist; so we may have same for our files.)
