In rest room of Dr. Time of Reading Philip H. Broudo's 4:00 to 4:20 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. office, ..., Mich. (Physical Suggestion)
1. EC: Now as we find, there are specific disturbances which upset the activity of the whole hepatic circulation; thus affecting eliminations - as should be aided through the activity of the impulses especially in the lower hepatics, as well as the assimilating system as related to the activity of the flows from the excretory functioning of the liver itself.
2. These then are conditions as we find them with this body, Mrs. [1649] we are speaking of:
3. The blood supply, through the amount of the toxic forces, indicates the character or nature of the disturbance; as well as the inflammatory forces as reflect themselves in the superficial circulation owing to the character of the refuse forces or drosses not eliminated or carried from the system.
4. Thus this rash or irritation is produced in the superficial portion of the circulation; as well as those disturbances in the very nature of the circulation through the hepatics.
5. We find, then, those disturbances in the liver, the gall duct, as has been indicated as the seat or cause.
6. This as we find is the RESULT of an injury to the body in times past, in the right side, when a lesion was formed.
7. While the operative measures drained or eliminated the sediments in the duct and gall bladder itself, these did not remove the cause.
8. And we find that with a persistent application this MAY be eliminated, and bring near to normal forces for the body.
9. The natural pressure of these upon the nerve forces, especially the sympathetic, through the activity of same in the superficial circulation, is very irritating and very distressing to the body at times; causing a general activity in the superficial nerve forces as to the perspiratory system, to secrete or produce greater quantities of the
1649-1 Page 2
eliminating forces than should be a part of the activity.
10. Hence, from these very nervous conditions, we have a disturbance between the coordinating of the eliminating systems of the body.
11. These then as we find formulate or produce the greater disturbances and the causes for same.
12. AS WE FIND, THEN:
13. We would apply, persistently, for at least an hour each day, heavy Castor Oil Packs, as hot as the body can stand same, over the gall duct, lower portion of the liver, extending even to the caecum and to the middle portion of the body, of course, or to the umbilicus plexus. Change these Packs at least once or twice during the hour, see?
14. Then each day following the use of such Packs, the body should be sponged off with a weak soda water solution, to remove the acids and to cleanse the body from the oils as would be the natural accumulation or that are not absorbed by the body.
15. Then there should be a GENTLE massage, following the sponge bath, especially manipulating over the areas from the upper portion of the dorsal and the cervical area, along the spine, and especially over the liver and the abdominal and caecum areas. Let such a massage be given each day, following the Packs AND the soda water sponge bath.
16. Keep these up for at least a period of a week, and THEN have HIGH irrigations to cleanse the colon and the drosses from the system.
17. Leave off the applications for a week, then; and then have them for another week; rest a week, and then for another week have the applications. After each series of the Packs and massages, have at least ONE thorough colonic irrigation.
18. After the third series (with the week of rest in between), we would then begin (but not before) with the low form of electrical vibration through the Diathermy; to stimulate activity for the drainage of the gall duct. But do not begin this until the full series or rounds of the other applications have been made as indicated.
19. When the Diathermy is begun, begin with the very lowest form of the deep therapy; that is, the low current. Then gradually, as the body is able to respond to same, it may be increased. This would be given about three times a week, for at least four or five weeks.
20. And then, if there is not the cleansing of the system from the irritations superficially - that is, the breaking out or the rash over portions of the body - and if there are not the better eliminations - it would be best that the Oil
1649-1 Page 3
Packs be repeated again for another two or three series.
21. As to the diet: Keep away from fried foods of any nature. No white breads of any nature. Have at least one meal each day, whatever period is preferable, consisting practically altogether of raw vegetables. These may be taken with or without oil, or with a dressing that is palatable for the body.
22. These as we find, if they are done, will bring the better conditions for the body.
23. Ready for questions.
24. (Q) What can be done to relieve the itching in the present? (A) Begin with the Oil Packs and when ready to retire, or after the bath, apply the stearate powder with the balsam. This as we find is the most soothing for same. But after beginning with the massages, following the applications of the Oil Packs, we should find that in two or three applications the greater portion of this should be eliminated - or especially after the colonic irrigations.
