1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions that may be submitted, as I ask them.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, Mrs. [1660]; this we have had before.
3. As we find, in some respects conditions are much more favorable than when we had same here before.
4. However, in the present there are the inclinations for the activity in the system of poisons to affect the circulation in such a manner as to make it hard or severe upon not only the circulation through the heart's activity, but as to produce temperature; owing to the necessity of having had the transfusions for there to be the perfect coagulation of the blood supply.
5. Thus there is the inclination for the blood supply to lose its efficiency. Hence the weaknesses, the inability of assimilation; and the inclination for there to be more static reaction in the nervous system, in the coordination between the sympathetic and cerebrospinal system - especially as to locomotion.
6. The BETTERMENTS, as we find, are the ability for the activity OF the assimilating system to have so coordinated the circulatory forces as not to produce upon the organs the static or lack of THEIR reaction in the system.
7. As we find then in the present, there needs to be made MORE of the manipulations in such manners as to produce BETTER activity towards the action of the ASSIMILATING and ELIMINATING system.
8. Thus as we find, there should be MORE of the eliminations of the POISONS that are accumulations through the alimentary canal; or, as indicated first, MORE of the Colonics - that there may be less reabsorption, less tendency for the creating of temperature when there is the reaction between the cerebrospinal and sympathetic system as related to the
1660-2 Page 2
activity of peristaltic movements through the alimentary canal.
9. Thus those tendencies would be relieved for the pressures upon those portions of the system that tend to make for regurgitation and nausea for the body-functioning.
10. Also such eliminations set up properly would reduce those inclinations for temperature to arise in the system owing to the toxic forces that come about FROM the accumulations of poisons.
11. Owing to the very facts that there are heart disturbances, and the very nature OF these arising more from the assimilating system than from an organic disturbance, these principles and activities are necessitated to regain a condition where assimilations would give strength to the body.
12. Then, there would be special precautions as to diet. This as we find is one of the disturbances. Owing to inactivity the body is not able to assimilate the foods of the character that HAVE been taken! These should be rather in the form and manner in which the system may assimilate same, and thus become beneficial conditions rather than the inclination for disturbing factors in an already disturbed system.
13. As we find, then, the more strengthening diet would be for all the meats or the NATURES of same to be rather in the form of Beef Juice. Not broth, nor in large quantities - but BEEF JUICE! This would be made from fresh beef, and only the juice taken. This would be taken often, and not large quantities at the time. A tablespoonful through a whole day would be sufficient, but SIPPED - never taken in spoonsful. Let the tablespoonful be given in sips during the day, taking three to five to six times to give that quantity, see? Do not have fat meat IN the beef when preparing same.
14. Vegetable juices, even if they are from raw vegetables, would be much more preferable than those that carry any grease in same. For this (grease) becomes hard upon the assimilating system, through the very nature and disturbance of the nausea in those areas where the lacteal ducts attempt to make for the variation between that assimilated and that to be eliminated.
15. Thus we find that the Beef Juice, the whole wheat gruel - this cooked LONG and well - and milk, of course, that is PREPARED for the system, and the vegetable forces - and these given OFTEN, rather than in large quantities - would bring strength.
16. Do not give the body such heavy foods - unless there IS
1660-2 Page 3
better assimilation; for it will produce toxic conditions, hardness upon the assimilating system, and naturally the greater strain upon an already disturbed heart activity. Semi-liquids and the like, rather than solids, are the better.
17. When there is the nausea (and there will be until there is the elimination of the toxic forces through the colon), we would give a dosage of THIS - AS an assistant in producing the proper balance in the chyle, as well as in the gastric activity of the stomach AND duodenum:
18. Prepare in the order, in the manner given. Put the Cinnamon Water IN the Lime Water, NOT the Lime Water in the Cinnamon Water! But add these IN THE ORDER NAMED! Lime Water.........................1 ounce, Cinnamon Water.....................1 ounce, 10% solution Iodide Potassium.....10 minims, 10% solution Bromide Potassium....20 minims. The dose - not given oftener than two hours apart - would be a teaspoonful of the solution in two tablespoonsful of water. This will form an activity that will relieve the tendencies and inclinations for nausea.
19. As we find, there need not be a total static reaction of the lumbar axis and locomotion, IF the IMPULSES of the nerve and blood supply are kept - through the activities of the body, and in the administering of the manipulative forces that are to act NOT as curatives but as measures to assist the inclinations, from the activity of the ganglia along the cerebrospinal system.
20. Hence at least every other treatment osteopathically should include a movement of the muscular forces about the sacral and lumbar axis. While the greater part is to be from the secondary and the direct cardiac plexus, and throughout the vagus circulation - these should be given also in the lumbar and sacral area. Stimulate the activity from the upper portion of the 9th dorsal occasionally, that there may be - with the giving OF the colonics - a stimulation to the lymph and emunctory activities through those activities from the sympathetic forces to the lymph circulation, as to cause a movement through the lower portion of the jejunum AND the ascending colon.
21. The colonics should be not mere enemas, though do not attempt to move the whole area of the colon at once - but portions of same.
22. Then, in the second and third of the colonics, greater response may be seen; less temperature, better assimilation,
1660-2 Page 4
and more STRENGTH may be given the system with these poisons removed from the body.
23. These do, and as we find we may bring the better forces for this body, Mrs. [1660].
24. Ready for questions.
25. (Q) How often would you advise the colonics, or how close together may they be given? (A) This depends upon the very natural reactions. The colonics are NOT weakening, IF they are given PROPERLY! They are not to be given so as to become a DRUDGERY to the system, or in the manner that they become so! Give them with water not above body-temperature, nor below body-temperature so much as to cause a reaction in the activity of the colon walls. Use a saline solution for the first cleansings, and an antiseptic in the last waters used. These will tend to STRENGTHEN (after the reaction), rather than weakening. When there is great nausea, when there is the fullness in the abdomen, then know that the colonic is needed.
26. (Q) Should any treatment now being used be left off? (A) This may best be determined by the one administering that given, according to the purpose or reaction of any treatment being given. As soon as there is established better assimilation, we will find that Codiron will be most beneficial; for it carries cod liver oil, and iron that may be assimilated - and is not hard upon the system in the proportions as given; and the reactions with same would be most beneficial. It will strengthen not only the abilities of the system for assimilation but for the activity of all organs through the very vitamins that are deficient in the system in the present, to be sure. The proportions would be only one tablet or pellet each day in the beginning, and this not until there is better assimilation, see? Then after a week this may be increased to two tablets a day. This would be taken at or with the meal.
27. (Q) What about fruit juices or fruits? (A) Owing to the conditions, these will necessarily have to be TESTED; for it will be found that there are those that the body will NOT react to favorably - but these may be given a little bit. Do not give large quantities of ANY foods, but OFTEN - in small quantities.
28. (Q) How long will it be before there will be seen
1660-2 Page 5
decided improvements? (A) WITH the manipulations osteopathically as indicated, and the colonics set up for the removal of the poisons, there should be in three to four days a decided IMPROVEMENT! Use the colonic irrigations as indicated, for we MUST keep temperature away - caused by toxic forces; else the strep will exert itself in such a manner as to become dangerous to the heart's activity.
29. (Q) How often should the osteopathic treatments be given? (A) If they were given EVERY DAY it would be the BETTER, but every other day at LEAST! There need not be so great a quantity of treatment, but given properly. It is not curative - the osteopathic treatment, but it is to PREPARE the SYSTEM for its ABILITY to react properly, eliminating those conditions where accumulations of the muscular forces under strain or stress produce acute reactions by their impulse to organic functioning. Do these and we will bring the better conditions to the body.
30. We are through for the present.
