1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for corrective measures. You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the exiting conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions that may be submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1681].

3. Now as we find, the suggestions here would be more for the measures to prevent disturbing conditions, where inclinations are indicated in the present.

4. While they cause some disturbance and some anxiety in the present, these may produce a great deal of disturbance if allowed to remain without correcting the causes of same.

5. These are the conditions, then, as we find them with this body, [1681]:

6. There has been the inclination for too great an acidity through the system, and in this particular case it gives expression in a form of catarrhal condition in the soft tissue of the nasal passages and antrums and throat.

7. This in turn causes, through the very nature of the disturbance - or poisons being mixed with the gastric flow - an upsetting of the digestive forces and a character of headache, as well as the organs of the sensory forces or system becoming involved.

8. These as we find are the greater disturbances and sources and causes of same through this system.

9. In the blood supply there is created a variation in the activity of the heart under certain stresses or strains, yet not an organic disturbance - purely sympathetic; though with the very nature of the activities of the body, without changes same may become such as to involve same, especially in those portions of the circulation between the liver, the lungs and heart itself.

10. In the nervous system, of course, are the greater expressions, or through same the conditions arising cause a

1681-2 Page 2

nervous indigestion, as well as the conditions to nasal passages and throat, as well as to eyes and to the hearing at times.

11. These would gradually increase unless there are those means taken to remove the causes of these disturbances.

12. With the nature of the activities through the system, there is naturally a repression - not a subluxation but a thickening of tissue - through which impulses for activity are received to the throat, head and neck, and the organs of the sensory system.

13. Hence these would need corrections, which as we find may be better done through the osteopathic adjustments or relaxation; thus stimulating drainages to and through the alimentary canal as well as the circulation through the impulses to both the sympathetic and cerebrospinal systems, to the upper portions of the body; thus eliminating the sources.

14. During the second period of taking the Atomidine (which we will indicate), we would begin the manipulations, so that there will be better reactions through the whole of the nervous system. We would have the adjustments made by such an one as Soden.

15. Now, to meet the needs of conditions already brought about, first we would purify the glandular forces of the body, that tend to make for the forming of these disturbances; and, with the releasing of the pressures in the areas indicated, supply more nourishment through the assimilated forces of the system. Hence we would purify the system by taking the Atomidine periodically, five days at a time.

16. Begin first with one minim (drop) in half a glass of water each morning before any meal is taken, for five days. Then leave off five days, and then begin again. Continue taking for five days, and leaving off for five days, in this manner. However, during the second period of taking the Atomidine (the second five-day period of taking same, you see), we would begin with the osteopathic manipulations, as we have indicated - so there will be better reactions through the whole of the nervous system.

17. Also prepare a compound to be used as an inhalant, - this to act as an antiseptic upon the mucous membranes of the nasal passages as well as the throat, and thus relieving the tensions that are produced in those particular areas by the drying of the membranes by the very activity of those influences as indicated, from the superacidity in the system. Combine same in this manner:

18. In an 8 ounce, large-mouth container (preferably dark

glass bottle), with 2 vents or openings into same through the cork - add, IN THE ORDER NAMED: Pure Grain Alcohol (at least 85%)...4 ounces, Oil of Eucalyptus..................20 minims, Compound Tincture of Benzoin.......10 minims, Oil of Turp.........................5 minims, Tolu in Solution...................30 minims. The two vents would be kept closely corked except when ready for use. Preferably keep in the dark, not in the strong sunlight; and when ready to use, night and morning, shake the solution well - then open both vents, and through the one inhale only the FUMES from this solution into the nostril and then into the throat. Shake the solution each time before the inhaling is attempted.

19. In the matter of the diet - here, also, it is necessary that precautions be taken that there are not the inclinations for a more acidity through the lack of proper digestion or the increasing of properties that cause greater acidity.

20. Keep away from too much meats. Preferably, especially in warm weather, only use fish or fowl as the meats.

21. Have at least one meal each day consist principally of raw, fresh vegetables.

22. Beware of too much of white bread or of white potatoes; though the skins of Irish potatoes and those portions close to same should be a part of the diet (rather than the bulk of the potato), for the salts from these will produce a better condition in the scalp and in those portions of the glandular system activity as related to the functions of the thyroid.

23. Do these, and we will bring the better conditions for this body of [1681].

24. Ready for questions.

25. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (We would appreciate a history of your case, so as to have it to compare with our information.
