1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions that may be asked.
2. EC: Yes.
3. Now as we find, disturbances are of the nature arising from a high fever that affected locomotion; and the results are the effects indicated in the lack of flow of impulse through the limbs.
4. Or the effect of paralysis - infantile paralysis - is the nature of the disturbance.
5. In many manners the mental and physical forces are very good, irrespective of the conditions caused in the limbs and locomotion; and the abilities are very good.
6. Necessarily the correction of the disturbances must be slow, but if there will be the persistent applications - and the changes as may be brought about and met in their stages of development - we find that we may make for a great deal better physical activity, and less disturbance through the system.
7. As the nerve impulses are in a manner destroyed, and only the superficial make for a great deal of activity, it would be necessary to almost BUILD nerve impulses - so that there may be the circulatory forces through the areas where there has been the dwindling away or the atrophying of the muscular forces and the fleshy portions.
8. This would require, then, that there be an element in the system that may through the assimilations replenish or rebuild gradually.
9. THUS:
10. Each day, for at least a period of three to four months, we would apply the charges of the Wet Cell Appliance carrying the Gold in the ratio of - in the beginning - two grains of the Chloride of Gold to each ounce of Distilled

Water. The attachments would be made each day when ready to retire, for thirty minutes. The small plate would be attached to the lumbar plexus, while the larger plate - through which the vibration of the Gold Solution passes - would be attached to the umbilicus and lacteal duct plexus.
11. Keep the plate attachments clean; polish them off each time when taken off, and just before applied again.
12. The Gold Solution would be changed every fifteen days, while the chemicals for recharging the Appliance would be changed every thirty days.
13. Each evening also, after the application of the Appliance, we would massage the body with an equal combination of Tincture of Myrrh and Olive Oil. Heat the Oil to add the Myrrh. Massage all the body will absorb, from the base of brain - gently - down the whole length of the spine, and OVER the areas that HAVE been affected by the temperature or the dwindling away or the atrophying. Then afterwards sponge off the areas with a lukewarm soda solution.
14. Do these for four months. Then we would give further instructions - and those necessary changes as may arise from the helpful forces of the applications.
15. Ready for questions.
16. (Q) Any advice regarding diet or exercise? (A) Keep all the exercise possible, to be sure; that is, without great strain. In the diet, keep away from fried foods.
17. We are through for the present. Copy to Self - Air Mail Special " " Ass'n file (9/9/38 GD's note: See article [which was enclosed] explaining theory of the Wet Cell Appliance. At your convenience, we would appreciate your sending us a history of your case to the present time. This is valuable for our records.)
