1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions that may be submitted, as I ask them.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1693].
3. Now as we find, there are conditions which disturb the better physical functioning.
4. These would be given rather as the warnings, in order that disturbances might be corrected that have gradually grown more and more discomforting; else there will be more severe disturbances as they progress - or become such as to cause a great deal of inflammation.
5. We find that these have to do with the digestive system, and more specifically with the gall duct area.
6. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [1693], we are speaking of, present in this room:
7. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, while this is very good under the existent conditions, it indicates that - through the disturbance in the gall duct area, and in the stomach itself - there are disturbances that upset the lower hepatic circulation.
8. Thus there is gradually being left in the system a uric acid reaction that causes a great deal of distress at times across the lower portion of the back, through the muscular forces - that is, after periods of exercise or undue activity.
9. And while the system adjusts or readjusts itself to some extent, these toxic forces are gradually becoming things to be reckoned with; as well as the sediment in the gall duct itself.
10. This as we find makes for the condition where after eating at times there is a fullness in the stomach itself, and portions even from the cardiac or upper portion to the lower portion cause a great deal of disturbance.
1693-1 Page 2
11. The condition is NOT ulcerations, nor even lacerations - as yet. But the regurgitation, owing to the disturbance in the gall duct and the conditions through the kidney area, is producing conditions that are making it harder and harder for the system to adjust itself to same.
12. The stiffness occurring at times in the hands, the limbs, and the heaviness in the lower portion of the back all arise from these toxic forces; or these effects are the indications of the nature and character of the disturbance through the body.
13. AS WE FIND, TO MAKE FOR CORRECTIVE MEASURES, it would be well that these directions be followed rather explicitly, if there would be the elimination of the disturbance without rather serious consequences:
14. First, then, especially for the next few days, the diet should be adhered to rather closely - that is, do not eat any large quantity of meat, and NO hog meat at ANY time, nor any fried foods for at least a period of six months or more!
15. Begin first then immediately with these:
16. After each meal take at least a quarter teaspoonful of Alcaroid in two glasses of water; that is, dissolve this in a small quantity of water, then fill the glass full and drink; then fill the same glass again with water and drink. This would be about twenty minutes AFTER each meal, until Saturday.
17. Saturday morning take one Zilatone tablet about thirty minutes after the meal (and better not to labor during this day!) Take two tablets after the noon meal. Take one tablet after the evening meal.
18. The next morning, Sunday, before arising, take at least TWO OUNCES of citrocarbonate (Fleet's Phospho-Soda) - that is, the salts as found in same. Take at least an ounce and a half to two ounces in a glass of water. Lie upon the right side, with a pillow under the body at the liver area - until this has acted well. Of course, the other properties will have acted before - but lie on the right side, with the pillow under the liver, until the Phospho has acted, see? for this will FLUSH the system. Take it in WARM water, you see.
19. Then the next day, Monday, take in broken doses at least a whole bottle of Fletcher's Castoria. This would be taken a teaspoonful every hour until the whole bottle is taken.
20. Then, when the body resumes labor - at least once a day AFTER WHICHEVER is the heavier meal, take a quarter teaspoonful of the Alcaroid - as indicated.
21. After the eliminations have gone well, it would be well for the body to have at least two or three thorough

osteopathic adjustments; with special reference to the areas from the 5th and 6th dorsal UPWARD, and especially the secondary cardiac center and the vagus center. Not necessary that more than three be taken.
22. Do these; and then beware of the diet - of overloading the stomach or of taking quantities of grease, in ANY form. The meats should be rather fish, fowl or lamb - but NEVER any of either FRIED!
23. Do this, and we will bring the better conditions for this body, [1693].
24. Ready for questions.
25. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (GD's note of 9/28/38: See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for Dr. Crews when you are ready for the Osteopathic treatments.) .)
