Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1697], this we have had before.

3. As we find, in some respects the body is much improved from those conditions as we have had at other times. However, there are those tendencies and inclinations - through the general distribution and assimilating system - for conditions to segregate themselves and to become in a nature combative one to another.

4. Thus we have at times disturbances through the system in relation to the system's functioning; as at times the upsetting with the digestive system, at times with the activity of the liver and kidneys as related to eliminations, then again - or in combination with others - we have the distress with the organs of the sensory system, - the burning in the eyes, roaring in the ears, fullness in the throat. These are the results of IMPULSES.

5. In the present, we would first give that there be taken internally once each week one-eighth grain of Animated Ash. About ten minutes after taking same (and take it of evening when ready to retire), apply the Violet Ray (hand machine, bulb applicator) across the area of the lower portion of the lungs, the stomach, AND the upper portion of the alimentary canal - that is, the jejunum; this applied, however, of course, from the cerebrospinal area - along those areas of the spine that supply nerve impulses to the lungs, the stomach, the alimentary canal, etc., see?

6. We would have specific osteopathic adjustments as related to the upper dorsal and throughout the cervical area; with special reference to nerves to the eyes, ears and head, as toward producing better elimination.

7. For, the application of the Violet Ray, as combined with

the Ash, will produce sufficient stimulation.

8. To produce better eliminations, use Nujol Oil. Take this rather regularly, but not too much at the time. Take about a teaspoonful two or three times a day.

9. Do these, and be very consistent as to diet and general activities; and we will bring still better conditions for this body.

10. Ready for questions.

11. (Q) What causes eyes to run blind when excited or nervous? (A) As indicated, those inclinations for impulses. You see, the organs of the sensory system receive impulses from a combination of the central nervous system and the vegetative or sympathetic system; and these produce those impulses as indicated with special reference to such portions. Other organs of the sensory system become just as excited at times, dependent upon those influences causing such activity, or the calling upon the nervous system for impulse and reaction.

12. (Q) What causes foods not to digest properly? (A) Just as indicated, this same impulse at times in the central nervous system not coordinating, causing the system's attempt - as it were - to segregate or separate the activities. These are included in those suggestions outlined, as to the applications which should aid.

13. (Q) What foods may be taken that will digest properly? (A) Any of those that are easy assimilated; that is, three times as much alkalin-reacting as acid-producing foods. This means the alkalin-REACTING, and not acid-producing. For instance, all citrus fruits and the vegetables that are easy assimilated would be included; carrots cooked and raw, peas or beans - provided they are not sprayed with preservatives - these either canned or fresh. Canned tomatoes, if not canned with benzoate of soda, are preferable to the raw - to be sure - at this season of the year.

14. (Q) What may be done to correct insomnia? (A) Do the things as we have outlined!

15. (Q) What causes pain around the heart? (A) The same conditions as we have indicated, that arise from the liver and the lower hepatic circulation. For this is the heart, liver and kidney circulation - the nerve impulses of same, as indicated. Do as we have outlined, and we will bring the better conditions for the body.

16. We are through with this Reading.
