Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:15 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Michigan.
1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions she has submitted, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes. As we find, there are some improvements in the general physical forces of the body. While there are still disturbing factors, the response of the system to those suggestions and their application as has been made, shows there is that reaction which may be builded upon for better conditions.
3. There is the need, then, that a consistent and persistent use be made of those suggestions which have been indicated, - in each of those given.
4. To be sure, because the body in its mental attitude has refused or does refuse those suggestions does not mean that these are improper or should not make for betterments. But if the body refuses, then those physical attributes are lacking in those directions as to keeping the cooperative, coordinative forces as we have found would be the more beneficial to the body.
5. Then, we would not change in the present. Use those manners and those suggestions, in a consistent manner.
6. Ready for questions.
7. (Q) What caused this catarrhal condition and when did it start? (A) This has been existent for a long, long time; and the general reactions from the conditions which arose from the very NATURE of the blood supply in the body made the body rather SUSCEPTIBLE. And activities in the balance of the reactory forces in the chemical compound of the body brought about that which has produced same.
8. (Q) Should the tooth being treated be filled or pulled? (A) The back or the wisdom tooth should be pulled. The other filled, with the porcelain or such compound.
9. (Q) Why was constipation not mentioned in the Reading or advice given to keep the colon cleared till activity is restored? (A) With the training of the body, this should be a natural
1703-2 Page 2
effect of the awareness as to the needs of same; hence not mentioned. And the keeping of the colon clean is that which is necessary for EVERY well-balanced body; hence should be and is a part of the experience for each entity.
10. (Q) Please advise about each of these as aids to colon cleanliness: laxatives (which); high colonics (where); enemas; Chex; sitz baths (spray or tubs); Young Dilators; color treatments (whose is best); slanting board and/or abdominal exercises; tensing; OR WHAT? (A) All of these may be said to have their place in the experience or consciousness of individuals in various stages of development or awareness. Where there are such conditions as exist for this individual body, cathartics are poisons to the system - unless they be of a very mild vegetable nature or such derivatives for activity upon the system. The irrigations - such as cleanse the whole of the colon, - as colon irrigations properly given - are for THIS body more beneficial, more effective. The others, as the sitz bath, the board, the abdominal exercise and all, should NATURALLY for this body at times be a portion of the treatment. But remember, as the mind changes, so do activities upon the physical attributes of the body change. All then have a place, but the colonic irrigations and a mild laxative IF DESIRED are better for this individual body.
11. (Q) Is the lady I employ giving the kind of rub to establish the elimination mentioned in the Reading? Is said "elimination" that through the skin, kidneys, or colon? (A) The rubs are to stimulate the activity of the mucous membranes and to PREVENT the attempts of the kidneys, the skin or the respiratory system to do the work of the eliminating system which should be done through the alimentary or urinary canal; but for each portion of the body to be so stimulated or exercised as to perform its portion of the activity of the whole system, in keeping adjustments or activity in its proper relation one portion of the body to the other.
12. (Q) What was meant in the Reading [1703-1, Par. 15] by: "...the activity of the mental self - producing the plethoric conditions"? Does this refer to difficult
1703-2 Page 3
situation in the past or to an attitude of mind that I should strive to correct? (A) This is rather what might be said to be a combination. That the attitude of mind in the past to conditions, circumstances and surroundings has caused a great deal of disturbance that has been and is a part of the present experience is evidenced. Then, the attitude of mind should be toward KNOWING that the influences of every force within the experience of an individual are a part of that individual's activity in any given environ or surrounding. Then when ANY condition is set wherein there are resentments to conditions such that there is builded the influences or forces to meet or overcome, these become natural problems to the mental self - and find reflection in the activity of same through the physical forces of the body. As may be a very poor but very definite illustration of same: When there is the approach of the body to an environ from which there is the odor of foods of certain character, there is aroused within the mental self either a desire for the satisfying of the appetite within that direction or there is builded the attitude that it should be put aside because it produces such and such in the system, because Jim, Jane or John said so! and yet the very inner self calls for those influences, KNOWING that within self the body, the mind and soul are a material representation of every influence that is without the self - that may be viewed or become aware of by self. Then the mind or mental self, or mental body, that is the builder for the physical as well as the directions from the spiritual, should be made to coordinate and cooperate; and USE and not abuse the knowledge of self!
13. (Q) Would other occupation than that of teaching be better for the mental self? If so, what? (A) As we find, in the immediate and in the present the teaching is rather preferable; to not only satisfy the abilities or desires in given directions but to add to the outlet of the mental self in directions that may be made most constructive. Because only that ye GIVE do ye POSSESS! And as ye give out direction, while ye cannot make same grow, ye may sow the seed and if it be perchance of the truth that finds lodgement in the minds and consciousness of those whom ye direct - remember that the Creative Forces or God alone can or will give the increase.
14. (Q) Do the Codiron tablets make the stools black?
1703-2 Page 4
(A) This is rather the combination of the ingredients of the Codiron with the form of diet as followed by the body. The Codiron in its balance, as we have indicated heretofore, is as well a balance for the system as may be had; and carries the proportions of the elements and vitamin forces to a degree that these are better suited than most any of such natures as may be provided for human consumption.
15. (Q) Are they constipating? (A) NO!
16. (Q) Do I drink enough water or juices to keep the colon and kidneys flushed? (A) Drink WATER rather than so much juices, if you would keep the kidneys and the colon flushed. Not sufficient water taken!
17. (Q) Since I get gas, seemingly, from cooked foods, would I do well to eat more and more raw and less cooked? (A) As we find, it is the matter of the BALANCE in same, rather than the cooked foods. For NATURAL sources should indicate to the body that raw foods, unless there is a great deal of physical exertion, are inclined to make gas more than cooked foods if the cooked foods - are properly balanced.
18. (Q) What was the cause of the sinking spell recently - gas pressing on the heart? (A) You answer it in yourself! The pressure of gas from those foods that fermented RATHER than digesting!
19. (Q) How can I prevent the food getting so bad an odor from defecation? Should not this chance for more poisons being formed be taken care of, so I will not continually be absorbing more? (A) This should be. The use of a ferment, such as we have indicated for many, would be most beneficial here.
20. (Q) Do you refer to Glyco-Thymoline? (A) Rather the powder than the Glyco (Alcaroid).
21. (Q) Why were meat and fish and milk prescribed in the Reading, as I use no meat, now, and dislike shell fish? (A) It wouldn't be bad if you would use it! And the influences of same, in the CHARACTER or NATURE that is PURIFIED, for this body WOULD be better, as we have found and given, to build the proper activity for the system.
22. (Q) And milk, I find, makes more mucus, the basis for catarrh. (A) This if taken properly is NOT the basis of mucus. If this is thy experience, then there are other conditions producing same. For milk, whether it is the dry or the pasteurized or raw, is near to the perfect combination of forces for the human consumption.
23. (Q) What can be done to clear up the congestion in the
1703-2 Page 5
fluid inside the spine, called by some the kundalini? Will yogi breaths aid? (A) As we find, rather the influences of the massage that will alleviate the pressures on those centers along the spine from which impulses are received to the superficial circulation from the deeper cerebrospinal impulses, would bring the better assimilated forces in the glandular activity. The yogi breathing have their place, but when a condition has reached the place where there is the lack of the forces that PRODUCE same - then supply them by release in the system of those centers from which impulse may be had.
24. (Q) What can I do to bring about a more harmonious coordination between the number of heart beats and the number of breaths in a given period of time, like a minute? (A) Again, in just the same manner as indicated. Through the manipulations and through the coordinating of impulses from centers in the areas as direct the activity or flow. For remember, every impulse is from a ganglion through activity of the cerebrospinal or sympathetic nerve system, as they coordinate one with another from their radial forces in the centers along the cerebrospinal system.
25. (Q) Why are coffee, coca cola, and carbonated water good for me? (A) To prevent the formation of gases in the system.
26. (Q) Please explain what "feel" I should be conscious of re milk? (A) As to its constituents as related to body elements in their necessity for the balance in the system of the whole activity of assimilation and elimination.
27. (Q) Which diets were bad for my body? (A) Those where there is the production of that which produces fermentation from the lack of sufficient balance, through the use of diet, to the lacteals - or the acids and alkalines, or the potash and the iodines.
28. (Q) Are eggs the menstruation of hens, as taught by one, and so not fit for food? (A) No. They are the product of the body. No more the menstruation than a body in conception, or after conception, is menstruation of the human body!
