1. GC: you will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions he submits, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1710].

3. Now as we find, the disturbing influences are rather those concerning which warnings would be given; that they be corrected or relieved in the present, else there will be the greater attempts of the system to adjust itself. And this without corrections may not be nominally or normally done; thus producing weaknesses and inclinations that might remain with the body for a long period. Or becoming acute through other accidents or disturbances in the body, they might bring further or greater reactions for disturbing influences.

4. These then are conditions as we find them with this body, [1710] we are speaking of, present in this room:

5. First, IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY, here we find there is an efficiency lacking; or there is an inefficiency in the purification or oxidization of same through the activity in the pulmonary system. This, however, in the present is rather the effect or result of other disturbances as we find are indicated.

6. Then, IN THE NERVE SYSTEM, we find that the pressures upon the nerve system - from not so much the injury to the vertebra itself as the connecting forces between the vertebra, and in the fifth rib area - are producing conditions where the system, attempting to adjust itself, is gradually building conditions that will be harder to be relieved than if they were removed in the present.

7. These effects upon the nerve system, then, are not only the pressures caused to a disturbance in the blood forces but upon the sympathetic and cerebrospinal system.

1710-1 Page 2

8. Hence we will have, owing to the very nature and the position of these, disturbances to the head, to the eyes; and later more to the pulmonary - as well as reflexes to irritations produced by general nerve disturbances.

9. IN THE FUNCTIONING OF ORGANS THEMSELVES, these under the general conditions are very good - as in brain reflexes, brain activities; while the organs of the sensory force show the effect upon the system by the very nature of the influence upon the sympathetic as well as the cerebrospinal impulse from the very position of disturbing factors.

10. Yet these with the correcting in the present would remove the disturbances as to make for nearer to perfect normal reaction and functioning.

11. In throat, bronchi, lungs and larynx - as has been indicated, through the soft tissue of face and head there have been those conditions where congestion has easily arisen. Yet these are of such natures that, with the removal of the pressures that exist OTHER than those produced by an injury to the area indicated in the fifth rib area along the spinal center, such reactions will be prevented. This pressure is more on the END of the rib than upon the spinal center itself; though the very nature of the formations there is such as to produce pressures from these centers.

12. Also we find the general alignment of the spinal system is needed, as well as the corrections, along the lumbar, sacral and especially in the coccyx areas.

13. All of these as we find, with the removal of these, will remove disturbances to the inclinations for disturbing activities in the organs of the body; and thus bring normalcy for the developments of this body here.

14. In making the applications, then, as we find:

15. When attempting the alleviation of the pressures indicated, we find it will be necessary to first RELAX the body through the application of HEAT. Such relaxation would preferably be made with Wet Heat - that is, very heavy towels, or a quantity of them, wet and applied as hot or as warm as may be borne by the body - especially when making the adjustments in the fifth rib center, as well as in the coccyx and the lumbar areas.

16. This we would have done by such as Hudgins; for here we find the relaxations and adjustments are to be made in such manners as to not cause greater disturbance to the areas from which pressures produce impingements upon the nerve forces of the body, and restraining of the impulse to the coordination in that area with the cerebrospinal and sympathetic system.

1710-1 Page 3

17. In making the corrections, one treatment a week would be a GENERAL treatment and the other would be the RELAXING treatment and SPECIFIC adjustments in the fifth rib centers, as well as in the cervical.

18. And then after these are made (that is, after three or four adjustments), better coordination would be produced by the relaxing of those areas in the lumbar and sacral and coccyx; this done in conjunction or in coordination with the rest of the general treatment, you see - which would come in the second series.

19. We would take internally the Codiron as a tonic. Best that this be taken in a mild or small quantity and for long periods, rather than large quantities; so that the activities with the supplying of the influence upon the blood supply, as well as the activities of the vitamins upon the glandular forces of the system, will replenish and rebuild the body.

20. Throughout the periods, of course, it is necessary that there be full eliminations through the activity of the alimentary canal. These may be stimulated, though, by the relaxing of the EMPTYING of the duodenum and the greater activity through the jejunum - when the osteopathic treatments are given.

21. These will bring, as we find, normal conditions for the body.

22. Do that.

23. Ready for questions.

24. (Q) What can be done to strengthen eyes? (A) As indicated, when the pressures are removed from the cervicals and the upper dorsals, we will have a better flow of the impulse, and thus the greater strengthening of the eyes themselves. If there is not the full reaction there, we would then use the low electrical forces of a high vibratory nature; but do not use these until the PRESSURES are removed - and then the type or character to use would be the Violet Ray (hand machine) with the Double Eye Applicator; a minute - or half a minute at first, for the first few times. But do not use this until at least the second series of the manipulations or adjustments have been made - that is, after the adjustments or corrections have been made, and the second series is begun for the general coordination of the whole areas as indicated.

25. (Q) Are glasses being used correct for the eyes? (A) These will not be necessary when the impingements are removed, and there is stimulation for better activity. In

1710-1 Page 4

the present they are very well, though at times they strain more than aid the eyes.

26. (Q) Give corrective suggestions for bad breath. (A) As indicated, when there is the correction of the repressions in the cerebrospinal system, and there are the better eliminations, these effects should disappear of themselves. Using the Alcaroid after the meals, or once a day, will cleanse the system and purify the breath. A quarter teaspoonful in a full glass of water, but dissolved first in a small quantity - is the better.

27. (Q) What can be done to normalize weight? (A) As indicated, the building for the system of a general upbuilding - in the glandular forces as well as in the blood supply. Do these things and we will bring for the body normal forces and influences.

28. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for Dr. Hudgins.
