1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity and that to which it may attain, and how:
2. EC: (In going back over years from present - " - '37 - disappointments - '36 - '35 - " etc., on back to birth date.) [GD's note: He verified this later, said it referred to associations he asked about in Par. 67-Q below.]
3. Yes, we have the entity and those records of same here, - these are rather unusual.
4. For these will need the analyzing of self, even from the choices that we would choose here, in making this experience a helpful one in the present sojourn of the entity.
5. As we find (but irrespective of those applications of self), the entity has those influences and forces that are not such as that "It will happen whether it should or not," but as urges that apparently have fraught* the entity oft in many of its attempts to choose that course of activity which seemed well in the varied experiences and periods. * [fraught (frot), n. [MD. vracht, vrecht.] Obs. A load; as, a fraught of water, i.e., two bucketfuls; earnings, reward. -v.t. fraughted or fraught; fraughting, Obs. To freight; load. -adj. freighted; laden; big or teeming (with).]
6. Yet, if the entity applies self in a definite direction for activity, these will bring the opportunities for not only a gratifying or satisfying activity but material, mental and spiritual development for the entity.
7. There have been periods when the entity apparently has been blocked in the preparation for this or that activity,
1710-3 Page 2
this or that association with individuals, and circumstances that would have changed or do change the whole course of events for the entity.
8. These influences all come from the Atlantean's activities that have brought Libra (of the balance) into force in such a manner that it might be said of the entity, indeed there is a path cut out for thee - the gods have directed that ye will have the opportunity to show forth thy worth.
9. Warnings come, as we find, especially in the next few months: Beware of burns about the face and hands.
10. These are merely as warnings, that precautions should be taken.
11. There will be, of course, those protecting influences about the entity, but beware that there are not those fraughtnesses brought in the experiences through fire.
12. Then, in choosing from the records as we find here, - these are chosen as the experiences and urges with the desire that this be a real experience, and be a helpful one in the activities to which the entity will find the greater satisfaction and greater opportunities for the material, the mental and spiritual development.
13. These, to be sure, will be approached more from the spiritual aspects. For, know within self (and these are immutable laws), that which will be helpful, hopeful or eternal must be founded in spirituality, and not merely ideas for self-advancement, self-aggrandizement, or to make merely material gains. But the material gains should be the result OF well chosen spiritual purposes and intents, and thus may it be said of thee, as in the days of yore, that the very stars fought for thee.
14. In the astrological aspects we find the Piscean influence.
15. Hence we find the entity apparently oft bearing the brunt of others' misapplication of time or of purpose, or even of material things. But know that such only offers an opportunity for self for greater development in every phase of the experience. Not that these are to always be, but they are as examples of the fact that whom the Lord loveth He CALLETH, and PREPARETH through chastenings, through trials, through those experiences which will develop one for the activities in which greater successes of every nature may come.
16. For thy talents being many, much will be - is - required of thee.
17. Kick not against circumstance, that has apparently at times fraughted thee in thy efforts - whether they have been thy social relationships with those of the opposite
1710-3 Page 3
sex, or whether in the apparent manner of preparation for activities in chosen fields of service in the material world. But know that these have been and are opportunities for GREATER advancement.
18. In Venus as combined with Mercury, AND the activities in Uranus, we find the interests in things mechanical as well as those that require the application of such by the material hands.
19. Thus machinery, and especially the aerial or aeronautics, or the electrical forces as combined with same, become innately a part of the entity's experience.
20. And thus developments along those lines, and preparations for self in service and activities in those particular fields will be that in which great opportunities will come.
21. Not that there are not to be flights for self, but let thy labors be preferably ON THE GROUND! Not that the entity is to be "grounded," but rather that those who go aloft may be the safer by the abilities of the entity in its activities to make for safety for those who do carry on there.
22. In the Uranian influence we find the extremes, and the sudden changes that come about; yet the tenseness which arises in the innate expression and feelings of the entity, - and yet to others the entity oft appears as one that is calm and one that takes things as just the part as would be played by the self through whatever circumstances that might arise.
23. But that tenseness that is innate, keep it in a constructive way and manner, and we will find that we will bring the greater opportunity - as the experience and the preparation bring into the material activity of the entity greater opportunities for service.
24. For he that would be the greater among his fellow man is the servant of all - giving - giving, rather than taking from.
25. Not that the entity is to ever be one that is to be the butt of every activity, but rather in the actual service will there be the abilities of the entity to save the many, materially as well as spiritually - for such becomes a part of the entity's experience.
26. As to the application of self respecting the astrological forces - these as we find are only urges. As to what one does WITH and about same depends upon choices made.
27. Hence the needs for each soul, each entity to have a standard, an ideal by which the patterns of the life, of its
1710-3 Page 4
associations with its fellow man, may be drawn. And these are in HIM, as they were through thy experience in those periods when ye fought against Sisera.
28. As to the appearances, then, in the earth - these we find have been quite varied in their APPARENT application. And yet when those extremes are considered that appear in the present, the likes and dislikes, the attempts here and there to make for activities within self to meet the emergencies that arise in the experiences of others, this becomes then the period, the experience in the present, when the entity should make the greater advancement towards a spiritual, a material and a mental gain or development.
29. Before this we find the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during those periods when there had been the activities in the north or northwestern land, when many of those about Fort Dearborn came back into the Virginian land - and in those portions of same that were in the edge of the foothills.
30. There we find the entity was active in aiding for the defense not only of its own land but in training others in the manner of activity.
31. As a teacher of youth, as a director of customs was the entity.
32. Those things then pertaining to drill, to activities having to do with such training, become an influence - and yet the entity shies away from same when practical; although the entity is capable of making activities in such directions which would become very, very unusual.
33. Hence these are as a part of the entity's experience, and the trainings in the present will need those directions in which special or specific work or activities should be a part of the entity's experience.
34. The name then was Horace Cline.
35. Before that we find the entity was in the land now known as the Promised Land, during those experiences when there was the choosing of those who were to be the representatives of the Roman government in that land.
36. The entity then was stationed in what might be called the port of entry in the land - a native of the land in Caesarea.
37. There the entity was first associated with the activity of the centurion set in charge there, as well as the experiences and the expressions that became a part of the activities throughout the period of the entity's sojourn there.
38. The entity was not a collector of customs, but rather as a director of those who collected same under the supervision
1710-3 Page 5
of the Roman government. Hence the entity was liked and disliked by those peoples of its own land - and yet through those offices and activities of the centurion there, under which the entity was directed, who became active in the service of those followers of the Nazarene, we find the entity gained through its abilities to apply those tenets and truths of "As ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them."
39. These became the activities that may in the present bring the greater service through its associations with others. For if these are kept as principles, the purposes of the activity of whatever nature, as then, there will be brought not only satisfaction but peace and harmony that is sought ever by the soul in its material sojourn.
40. The name then was Philon.
41. Before that we find the entity was active in the Palestine land during those periods when there were the judges that arose in Israel.
42. There we find the entity was associated with the only one of those judges who was a woman.
43. Hence women have played and will always play an important part in the experience of the entity's life; and the entity will be directed by many, yet - as in that experience - carrying out those directions through the influences for activities in given directions, FREE from those conditions that would bring questions into the own conscience of self as in relationship to same.
44. As the entity gained there, we may find the application of self in the present through those fields of service in which the activities of others as related to state and nation may and will become a part of the entity's experience.
45. Before that we find the entity was in the Atlantean land when there was the breaking up of the land, and when there was the journeying of those to the various lands for activities.
46. There we find the entity first coming into what was called the Mayan land, or what is now Yucatan.
47. With the establishing of the associations of many of the peoples (in which the entity was closely associated in the Atlantean land) in the Pyrenees and in the Egyptian land, the entity was the first - in that period of experience - to cross the waters in the plane or air machine of that period.
48. Hence we find such will become a part of the entity's experience in the present sojourn.
49. While there were disputes especially with Ax-Tell and the leaders who made for those activities in the Egyptian
1710-3 Page 6
land, the entity was sent eventually as the emissary to the land of Said; and in that particular experience the entity, as Aoun, made for the greater associations for the activities in the Egyptian land; joining with those from the land of Saneid and those from what is now the Mongoloid land, as well as those in what is now the Indo-China land.
50. Hence to go abroad, to be in many lands, is INNATELY within the entity's experience; and these experiences as we find may come about during this particular sojourn, PROVIDED the entity stays on the GROUND rather than in the air, in the more of its activities - or is associated with those activities having to do with the planes upon carriers or the like; but the MECHANICAL portion of same and NOT the OPERATIVE portion of such activity.
51. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, and that to which it may attain, and how:
52. As has been indicated, let not the little drudgeries that have come be a part of a hindrance, but rather use them as those principles upon which the inner self is meeting those things that make for creative influences and forces in the lives of all whom the entity may contact.
53. Study, then, first, to show thyself approved in all good conscience to thy Maker. Let that be as a signet upon thy hand, upon thy forehead.
54. In those fields of service materially as will have to do with mechanics of planes, or of those lighter than air machines, or the like, is the activity in which there may be found the greater outlets for the entity's ability.
55. Beware of women with a soft tongue! Keep in those ways in which directions and help may be given, but in which there will never be the questioning of self as to any activity; and ye will find greater joy and peace and service may be in those experiences in which advancement may come in this sojourn.
56. Beware, for the next six months, of fire about face and hands.
57. Keep self in an impressionable but determined manner to succeed.
58. Ready for questions.
59. (Q) Should I try to enter government service in either army or navy or civilian training? Advise. (A) Rather in that service indicated. Whether this is to be army or navy will be the matter of choice of the entity, - but that which will have to do with aeroplanes or such, and the mechanical end - but STAY ON THE GROUND!
60. (Q) What further training is necessary, and when would you advise that this be taken?
1710-3 Page 7
(A) The sooner it is begun the better, to be sure, for the greater satisfaction. But there will need to be, of course, the direct or personal training in those fields of activity. Just as in any service. If a musician, you practice it, - if a mechanic, ye practice it - in the FIELD of activity that is chosen as the service!
61. (Q) When, where and how can I make contacts to get into this work? (A) Through whichever field of service is chosen. If the navy is chosen, through the regular routine or channels. If it is to be the army, then through those channels - but we would prefer, for the entity, the navy.
62. (Q) Advise me as to best method for learning thoroughly and quickly such subjects as I take up? (A) This can be done best by the actual practice in those shops and their activity in the training school to which each is entered, or given the course in entering such service.
63. (Q) Should I send in my application to Adjutant General, Washington, D.C., for entrance? (A) This should be rather to those where they are open for the selection of service, or mechanics in the various fields of activity.
64. (Q) What school is suggested? (A) The school that is designated by those who go into such service, see?
65. (Q) Should I fill out application with Glen L. Martin Co., Baltimore? (A) This is very good.
66. (Q) Considering present physical condition, and necessary finances in preparing for life work, what temporary work is suggested? (A) As we find, if there is the entry into that activity with the Government, or even through the Curtis - these should, these WILL, supply the needs as to finance, as well as the general activity in which success may be attained.
67. (Q) What has been my past associations with [...]? What are the present urges and what can I do about them in relation to our best mutual development? (A) Associations in both the Palestine period and in the portions of Virginia. These have been well, but let them keep as they are. [See Par. 2 above.]
68. (Q) What particular period or periods of association in past lives especially affect my present life in relation to marriage?
1710-3 Page 8
(A) Those especially in the Palestine as well as in the Atlantean period. Thus, as the warning has been given - DO NOT attempt to MIX the career with women! They don't mix!
69. (Q) Have I in the present life met the individual whom I should marry? (A) We do not find it so, as yet.
70. (Q) At what age would it be best for me to marry? [See 9/10/42 Life Reading of Miss [2803] which advised their marriage. See 2803-2, Par. 44-A--46-A. He married her 1/9/43.] (A) Twenty-eight to twenty-nine.
71. (Q) What has been my past association with [...] of ...? (A) We do not find it other than in the Atlantean.
72. (Q) My mother, [1541]? (A) These associations have been in more than one period. These were in the Egyptian experiences, as well as in the Palestine. For the mother was once the mother before, and again very closely associated in the same household.
73. (Q) My sister [1523]? (A) In the Atlantean and in the Virginian experiences.
