Time of Reading 10:40 to 11:00 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Maryland.

1. HLC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1710]; this we have had before.

3. As we find, while conditions show change, there are very disagreeable reactions in the body at times.

4. The strain about the main muscular forces that are in constant use is ofttimes worse than a bone fracture or break, as we have indicated. For, the very nature of the structure of muscular tissue tends to produce, in the sympathetic nerves, adherence in the superficial circulation. Thus with cold or congestion, or even drafts or change of pressure, these produce reactions that cause the awareness of disturbing conditions.

5. Massage and the hot and cold applications are the better, making for conditions that will aid.

6. And it is necessary, to be sure, to keep good eliminations at all times.

7. Such conditions need not be expected to be cured in a day, a week, a month, or a year. For, as has been and is - or should be known, it requires seven years for resuscitation, change, or eliminations.

8. This is not to discourage, but rather to encourage; if there will be the keeping close to those suggestions, diets, activities, rubs; for there will come the gradual change.

9. It will be found at times that the sun lamp will be beneficial. This does not mean to become merely rote, but the practical applications of heat - as the sun lamp - will be helpful. For, most often it will be found that in the summer time these conditions will not be as severe - when the body stays in the open, or can have the effect from ultra-violet sun rays. In the fall, spring or winter the outdoor activities are not as effective, and thus at times

the sun lamp would be helpful.

10. At all times the oil rubs that are of a penetrating nature are beneficial. Some counter-irritant in the present, as we find, will be well; such as Pine Oil; or (though this would be a little bit severe) the Rexall heating oil combination, or counter-irritant oil; or, more in keeping with the condition at times would be, such an emulsion combining these: Peanut Oil.............1 ounce, Olive Oil..............1 ounce, Oil of Mustard....2 to 3 drops. This will necessarily be shaken well before using.

11. These as we find will bring the better conditions for this body.

12. Ready for questions.

13. (Q) Are the rubs [2803] has been giving me sufficient and properly given? (A) Consider what has just been said. At times these are most necessary. So far as the rubs are concerned that have been given, they are alright! But it is necessary to change the ingredients at times, so as to produce counter-irritation.

14. (Q) Should I continue osteopathic treatments; if so, about how often? (A) These are well, to be sure, to keep coordination in the areas so affected, as also the CONNECTION areas. For, there must be kept coordination between superficial circulation and the deep circulation; that is, from areas where there are those connections to the muscular forces under distress. There are certain ganglia from which impulses for circulation are carried; these, of course, in the cerebrospinal system; also certain areas where there are the connections or associations between superficial and deep circulation - as the areas where better coordination is made between the sympathetic and the cerebrospinal nerve forces. Osteopathic or Swedish massage, with particular reference to such centers, is beneficial at times. Since not many of the masseurs know the centers, it is better to use the osteopathic treatment. These are beneficial, - whether once a week, once in ten days, twice a month, ten times a year, or forty times a year. When needed, take them!

15. (Q) What causes congestion in head and how may I best relieve this? (A) This comes, of course, from the same disturbance.

1710-10 Page 3

Remember - as the body, mind and soul are one, so is the circulation of the body. Congestions that affect the toe may also affect the nostril, or the head. Here we have an excess of conditions to be eliminated by these manners. We find that when a muscle or nerve is under stress, its use naturally produces more of that dross or ash to be eliminated as used energy. With these congestions - as that from the muscular forces through the area at the 3rd cervical - there is direct connection with the muscular forces that go to the nerve and muscle of eye, throat and head. These are a part of the areas, as just indicated, that must be kept coordinated. When pressures are produced, their reflex action is to the passages of the nose and the throat. These are the disturbances. These may be aided by applying heat one time - maybe the next time it will require a good osteopathic adjustment. And then keep the eliminations good, see?

16. (Q) Would it be helpful to have the tonsils removed at this time? (A) Not right now. It may be in a month or six weeks, but not right now. The blood condition isn't the best for such in the present.

17. (Q) Are my glasses correct? (A) These are very good; they change owing to the disturbance and sometimes they get in the way, but the eyes will adjust themselves.

18. (Q) Suggest foods to stress and foods to avoid in the diet. (A) Avoid those combinations that produce acidity in the system. Not that these suggestions should be used to such measures as to eliminate acids entirely, but that there be kept a normal balance. Avoid the combination of fats with butterfats, as with the white of an egg, or white bread, or rice, or those that produce that character of starch. Brown bread, corn bread and such are much preferable. All vegetables; and do have at least once each day some raw vegetables.

19. (Q) Considering my work what would be the best hours for sleeping? (A) This should be chosen by self. Those consistent with the necessary requirements of the body. Get eight hours sleep out of twenty-four, if you want to keep the body balanced!

20. (Q) Would any form of exercise help rebuild and strengthen the right shoulder? (A) There's too much exercise with it now! But such as hand ball, or those exercises that are not overly stressing; such as table tennis or the like, are very good.

21. (Q) Please suggest an affirmation that will aid this body-physical. (A) The physical should be the result of spiritual intent and purpose, and not to make affirmations for physical without respect or relationship to the mental and spiritual. O LORD, LET ME IN BODY, IN MIND AND IN PURPOSE KEEP THY WAYS, IN SUCH A MANNER AS TO BE A CHANNEL OF BLESSINGS EVER TO OTHERS - IN HIS NAME.
