Time of Reading 3:40 to 4:05 P. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Penna.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1713]; this we have had before.

3. As we find, there are many changes in the general physical forces of the body since we had same here before.

4. In comparison to the varied activities and experiences through these channels, conditions are much improved in physical and mental attitudes from those we had in some times back.

5. More recently, while many of the disturbances are of a natural source or cause, they become more aggravated at times - from the old conditions. Thus it may be said that they are upon a par, or better in some respects and more disturbed in others.

6. These, then, are the conditions as we find them, and that to be considered and met - in making corrections:

7. There are still those disturbances which arise through the general system from an abnormal activity in some respects, and some overactivity in other respects, of the glandular system.

8. This naturally, combined with the periods in the experience of the body where the glands are affected as related to the creative life forces as regulated through the functions of the organs of genitation, produces aggravated conditions at times in the general activity of the body.

9. Hence the suppression at times, and at others the state of nervous reaction. And these periods cause a suppression of the flow at times and an overflow or flooding in that direction at times.

10. All of these conditions should be taken into consideration.

11. These varied activities contribute to the general tiredness and languidness that is felt, or a feeling of "all overness," with especially the trembly feelings through the

1713-22 Page 2

lower extremities; cold feet at times, flushing of the face or hands at times; these clammy conditions.

12. As we find, these are reflexes - and these all may be materially aided.

13. In the activities reflexing from this, we find no organic heart disturbance but a tendency for irregularity - which is also indicated in the general metabolism of the system, or that variation which occurs at times in the blood pressure.

14. The conditions in the rectal area, from the folds that are a part of the disturbance from lack of proper eliminations - to have such taken away by operative measures would not be the best method to remove the causes of same. But if there are such applications and such activities taken that may reduce or remove the causes, these should be allayed or disappear of themselves. Or, if through such activity there is a segregating of the disturbed areas, then such may be removed without too great a strain upon the body. However, we would NOT have same removed until there has been a completing of these applications as may be suggested for the body - as to diet, as to exercise, for these specific conditions.

15. Then, in making applications that may bring the bettered conditions through the activities of this body, these we would do - and DO NOT do part of same and not complete the entire treatment suggested; else we may work hardships upon some of those conditions that are a part of the disturbance, or that may become segregated or separated as to work one against the other:

16. First - we would begin taking one minim (drop) of Atomidine in half a glass of water each morning before any meal is taken, for at least ten days.

17. Then leave off for five days and begin to take (instead of the Atomidine) one teaspoonful of Tonicine, preferably in the evening before retiring, every day for five days.

18. During the rest period from taking the Atomidine, between that and the starting of the Tonicine - or about every ten days, we would have a GENERAL osteopathic treatment, which would be to relax rather than stimulate ANY areas through the body. Thus, there would be the muscular and segment relaxations along the spine, rather than corrections of vertebra-segments or such corrective or stimulative treatments.

19. It may be necessary to repeat more than one series of the Atomidine and the Tonicine; in fact, we would repeat these.

20. Begin immediately - or at the very first - to take

1713-22 Page 3

internally a level teaspoonful of Eno Salts each morning in a glass of water - this would also be taken before breakfast, but not at the same time with the Atomidine (when that is taken) - but preferably thirty minutes before the Atomidine is taken.

21. We would use the Pazo Ointment as a massage for allaying that disturbance of the hemorrhoids in the rectal area. Use this only after the stool, and it is not necessary to use it when there is NOT the protrusion or the violent itching in or through the area.

22. Also, for the rectal condition, we would take this exercise night and morning; before retiring at night and before dressing of morning:

23. Rise gently on the toes, at the same time stretching the arms straight above the head - as much as practical; then bend forward until the fingers touch the floor, as near as possible; this, of course, without bending the knee. Do this a least three times at each period. DO NOT do this once and then leave off for a day or two days, but do this regularly - morning AND evening.

24. Then the diet:

25. Keep away from too much sweets of any kind, also from too much of fats. While there should not be taken too much - in fact, any - of the fats of fowl or beef or the like, it is not necessary to refrain from butter - or foods cooked with butter.

26. Fish and fowl should be the principle meats.

27. DO have a raw vegetable salad or vegetable juices as the principal part of some meal during the day.

28. No fried foods.

29. After the menstrual periods, use a douche with a Glyco-Thymoline base; the proportions being a tablespoonful and a half of the Glyco-Thymoline to each quart of water, body temperature (however, we would use more than one quart at the time). Use only in the Fountain Syringe.

30. Do these, and we should bring bettered conditions for this body.

31. Ready for questions.

32. (Q) Why am I so susceptible to colds, and what can I do to prevent them? (A) Because of the thinned blood condition, and not enough of a general circulation. The types of diet and the activities and properties suggested should so purify the blood stream, and the activity of the organs and glandular force, as to aid in correcting these conditions.

1713-22 Page 4

33. (Q) Should I take any vitamin pills? (A) As we find, the vitamins should be acquired rather in the diet, though there may be taken the one-a-day brand of the A and D tablets, that are combined by those who make the one-a-day brand, as well as one a day of the B-complex tablets. These are made by the Miles Laboratories, see? But we would not begin taking these until at least two series of the properties indicated have been taken for the purifying of the system, and at least ONE series of the osteopathic relaxing treatments.

34. (Q) What causes my hair to fall out, and what is that substance that seems to always collect on the scalp? (A) This, as we find, is a lack of the proper activity of the glands in the thyroid area, as we have formerly indicated; and there are the tendencies for the forming in the scalp the oils that should be a stimulation to growth, into a dandruff reaction. Use any good alkaline soap, though not strong, as a purifier - or for washing and dressing the hair. Then use a good oil in same - as the Cocoanut Oil Tonic, for this PARTICULAR body. It may be necessary to do this weekly, at least for the first few times, until the scalp is purified. And any good Castile soap, or Ivory, or Palmolive is better for this body than the Pine Tars. Do these things and we would bring bettered conditions for this body, [1713].
