1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1730]. Now, we find there are abnormal conditions for this body. These the body had warning concerning in the physical forces of the body. These have to do, as we find, with the vitality, the eliminations, the assimilations, specific conditions in functioning organs, and the effects of same.
2. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [1730] we are speaking of:
3. IN THE BLOOD SUPPLY - This we find below normal, and inability for the organs to at all times CLARIFY the blood supply for the full resuscitation in the used forces of the system. Through the bacilli that is carried in the system, this makes for a destruction of the plasm that rebuilds or reduces the leucocyte content of same; while in the hemoglobin there is GOOD gluco content, the urea is thin - yet vitality is being CREATED, but the resistance is SOMETIMES too severe.
4. IN THE NERVE FORCES OF THE BODY - These we find show a great relaxation, so that the vitality is OFTEN easily taken up, or the body easily tires from the NECESSITY of the internal circulation to REMAIN high.
5. IN THE FUNCTIONING ORGANS THEMSELVES - In brain forces very good.
6. In the organs of the sensory system, their responses are good - though weakened at times from the reactions in the circulatory system, especially from those of the respiratory system.
7. Throat, bronchials, lungs, larynx, in the casement for the lungs themselves - in the pleura AND in the lung do we find the greater distress. The inflammation that has been produced there, the choking of the cellular force in the lungs themselves, show the EFFECT of the disorders that disturb the abilities for clarification to be carried on in a normal manner. The inability of the oxygen to be distributed properly. This also produces the irritation
1730-2 Page 2
sympathetically in the bronchi, and to the throat, and the phlegm from accumulations that causes the distention in throat and bronchi, producing that sensation that makes for the cough and for the expectorations. These come from the active forces of the disorders in the lung and pleura itself.
8. In heart's action, this we find below normal in pressure and ABOVE normal in the respiration or heart beat, making for the tiredness and weakness in keeping such a high internal circulation through the central blood supply.
9. In the activities as makes in same, PRODUCES the effects from the temperature that is created in blood stream.
10. In the digestive system - we find these are often hampered in the ability to create sufficient of the lacteals for proper digestion. This rather reflex than a specific disorder, and is concurrent more often - that is, the disorder there - with too much strain on the general system, but makes for poor assimilation through the system, and with the carrying of the forces into the intestinal tract for assimilation - without the proper gastric formations in the stomach and duodenum - often makes for those weaknesses and tendencies for gagging, and pains or gas at times forming in the stomach, duodenum and upper intestinal tract.
11. The liver and spleen show a full circulation, as would be a NATURAL result in such a high state of activity - yet each, in a MANNER, is impoverished - for it furnishes its own force and vitality for resuscitation in the system.
12. The kidneys show for an activity that becomes abnormal at times, and this the greater warnings to the body in the present - that the drainages in all portions of system be kept in as active state as the vitality of the body is capable of. Beware of ANY condition taken or applied that would make for an OVER activity, yet sufficient to drain the system in the kidney region - for if THIS turns, and there is added to same the poisons of uremia or uremic poison, then resuscitation will become nil.
13. In meeting, then, the needs of the conditions as WE find them - there are many of these conditions that are to be considered as a whole, and NOT as just ONE condition; for each portion of the vitality of the body is DEPENDENT one upon another.
14. Keep in the open air as MUCH as is possible.
15. Take internally the activated ash, and APPLY the ultra-VIOLET light to the body at LEAST ONCE each week - and in its application let this be high on the CEREBRO-SPINAL system, see? and for not too great a period at the time. The ash we would take twice each week, and ONCE each week -
1730-2 Page 3
in the beginning - about thirty to fifty minutes after taking the dose take the ultra-violet light - see? The dosage of the ash would be one-eighth grain in the beginning.
16. We would also use as an inhalant and a stimuli for the lungs proper, the pleura and the bronchi and throat, those fumes of PURE apple brandy. The FUMES from same - see? Put whatever quantity in at least TWICE the size container, and this preferably - or SURELY should be of the oak charred within. Keep same sitting where the evaporations take place FAST - see? or near a heat, but keep well corked. Prepare a tube, or a cornucopia, or that which will enable the body to inhale same deep into the lungs at least two or three times each day.
17. We would take internally, also, THIS in capsule - but do not take OFTENER than one capsule every other day - see? That of (this liquid, in capsule): Oil of Eucalyptol...................1 minim, Oil of Turp (Rectified Oil of)....1/2 minim, Benzosol (liquid)...................1 minim, Codeine..........................1/60 grain.
18. Well that each evening, before the body rests, a RUB be given the whole length of the spine with this - the proportions - prepare this: Alcohol rub.........................2 ounces, White Oil (Usoline, Nujol or Russian White Oil)...............2 ounces, Pure Olive Oil....................1/4 ounce, Witchhazel........................1/2 ounce. Shake these together and massage wide along the whole length of the spine. This will enable the body to throw off those tendencies towards temperature, those tendencies towards restlessness during the night, and after the third or fourth treatment will prevent so much tendency for having to raise up in the night, and from the tendency of clamminess.
19. The diet should be of those that are EXTRAORDINARY in blood and nerve building. Those of the natures that make for extra AMOUNTS of blood. The body is a very good dietician, yet take PLENTY of liver, codliver oil, olive oil, beef juices, nuts that the body CAN assimilate - best that these are prepared with saccharine, rather than overloading system with too much sugars - see? and MILKS - warm milk from the cow, the body heat still in same - malt with egg, malted milk, DRIED milk, and such. Junket and
1730-2 Page 4
such are all excellent. Do not OVERLOAD the stomach, but take as OFTEN as the body will assimilate.
20. Keep in the open, but REST as much as possible. Have at least three to four hours rest each day, when the body merely rests and thinks as little as possible. Ready for questions.
21. (Q) How long has the body been affected with the lung condition, and what was the original cause? (A) This has existed for some time back. The acute condition arose from those effects of flu and its germ.
22. (Q) Does the climate at Va. Beach have a bad effect upon her health? (A) Not necessarily so. The DRY season much better than the whole, or the wet season.
23. (Q) Is the proper course being pursued by the body entering Blue Ridge Sanatorium for a period of observation? (A) If we would follow these suggestions that have been outlined, it would best be at home rather than in Blue Ridge - for they will not be able to apply these, unless there is greater sympathy expressed than is seen at present.
24. (Q) Is her contemplated trip to Va. Beach the latter part of May advisable? (A) That will depend upon how WELL those things as given are applied to the body, and the response that has been made, as sudden altitudes for the body would make a DEPRESSING effect UNDER the EXISTENT conditions. As to what it would be in thirty to forty days, with the applications, is not seen in the present. These responses are from RESUSCITATING forces within a living organism, see? Do as we have outlined, and we will find resuscitation and building, and a clarifying of the disorders in the body.
25. (Q) Is the body pregnant? (A) We do not find same in the present, though there are the indications that - were this to be allowed to go ahead, or remain as this exists - it would become so.
26. We are through for the present. Two copies to Mr. [5453] Copy to file [Question answered without being asked: "What should be done to take care of the sac of fluid in the lower part of the left lung? Would the condition of her health at the present time have an ill effect on the development of the child?"]
