1. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1736]. Now, we find there are disturbing factors in the physical functioning of the body. In the present these conditions, we find, are functional in their nature. Unless they are corrected, however, organic disturbances must be the result, and also constitutional effects, or the system adjusting itself to some of the conditions must break down the conditions to an extent as to make it hard to be brought back to a proper functioning order. These conditions, as we find, have most to do with the character of the eliminations, produced in part by subluxations or pressures in the cerebrospinal system that have given improper incentives in nerve energy to functioning organs, particularly the liver and spleen with relation to the character of excretions that aid in the digestion; so that, with the hepatic circulation increased and the LYMPHATIC circulation becoming in a manner affected by the circulation, there is produced those conditions in the lymph's circulation, or respiratory system, such as of the body attempting to eliminate through these channels much that SHOULD be carried in the dross; so that incoordination is a result. Pressures are produced in heart's action, though not an ORGANIC condition - a FUNCTIONAL one. The disturbance in the blood supply itself becomes exaggerated with the attempt of the body to create sufficient of that quality IN blood as will destroy properties not eliminated in their proper channels. Hence the bumps, the knots, the blackheads, the conditions as exist over portions of the system, with the accentuated condition of the SAME nature existent in portions of the stomach and duodenum themselves. Also we find, WITHOUT proper consideration, that the respiratory system proper - or lungs - must eventually become involved in the condition. The eliminations becoming poor through the alimentary canal, there is a sluggishness of the eliminations in this direction, so that the accentuation of poisons from auto-intoxication affect indirectly and directly the kidneys, form the cold

circulatory forces in the hepatics. The conditions, then, are as these to be met.

2. In meeting these, UNDER the present conditions, WE would find that first we would take internally those properties as would be COMBINED in these: Prepare each dose as it is to be taken, and take the dose the first thing every morning - for at least fourteen to twenty-eight doses, see? and during that period be very mindful that the body does not get overheated, too chilly, wet feet, or dampness from the outside. To be sure, the regular baths should be taken, but this means from cold or congestion or from weather conditions, see? Take equal parts of Epsom salts, cream of tartar and sulphur, and the dose would be the point - or a quarter teaspoonful of EACH in a glass of HOT water - see?

3. We would also, during this same period, every second day - in the evening - have the violet ray, with the regular applicator, applied along the whole length of the spinal system, and especially would this be applied over the diaphragm area; not so much over heart region as over the liver and the spleen, or around the frontal portion of body over area of liver and spleen - this just at the end of the floating ribs.

4. In the matter of the diet during such periods - this is as a MANNER, though it may be altered to some extent:

5. Of mornings same should be only of citrous fruit juices - oranges, lemons, grapefruit - followed with a little gruel, either of wheaten or of oaten gruel, with raw milk - but well that these be well cooked.

6. In the noon lunch - should be principally of green vegetables, as of carrots, lettuce, celery, cabbage, and such. These may be taken with mayonnaise dressing or with olive oil and paprika. These should be chopped well, well masticated. Little of the stimuli as of coffee or tea, but those of a VEGETABLE - or of Ovaltine, or of the WHEATEN - may be taken as drinks, of morning or evening.

7. In the evening - these should consist of the COOKED vegetables, with the JUICES - or with the broths from wild game. Little or no fish, unless baked - no grease in same, and the vegetables should be those of a well BALANCED diet. Little cabbage, but when used should be prepared with vegetable oil or butter. Spinach prepared in the same manner. Potato jackets, rather than the white potato - or the SMALL potato, about the size of a hen egg, is the better size. These should be thoroughly washed or scrubbed, then basted in butter, so that the jacket and that next to same may be eaten, disregarding the central portion of same. In those of the yams, use the yellow rather than the white

variety. Turnips that are well cooked. Parsnips, and such - these basted in butter, the better, or preferably cooked in their own juices - in a vacuum cooker. In the evenings plenty of water may be taken with meals, or a cereal drink may be taken. When milk is taken alone, let this be of the whole milk - not boiled, but heated.

8. In this manner, we will find the general physical conditions will be improved. We would GIVE instructions as respecting same after the twenty-eight days.

9. In the mental body, the attitude much of self towards things outside of self has much to do with the material forces in the body; for when one realizes and is conscious of that, that they themselves - their mental thought, their physical being - are a portion of the great whole, and that no matter how insignificant appearing their influence is necessary to keep the whole universe in accord with the purpose of the divine as is manifested in life itself - and he, or she, who is on the Lord's side, knowing that every effort, every thought, is to keep self in accord, as near as possible - being a channel in EVERY manner for a manifestation of that divine, is on the Lord's side - and if one be on the Lord's side, WHO can say aught against them? Keep the mind pure. Do as there is GIVEN thee to do. We are through for the present.
