1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions which have been submitted, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes - (on the shady side -) we have the body, [1746].
3. Now as we find, there are disturbing forces and influences in the body, [1746].
4. These in the greater part arise from the stricture in the areas about the bladder, and the effect this has upon not only the activity in the eliminations through these channels but the pressure and reaction upon the nervous system from same.
5. The applications that are being made are at times seemingly meeting the needs of the condition. However, through the reactionary periods as arise, we find the general condition is gradually becoming weaker in resistance, causing more adherence; and thus producing a greater inflammatory condition through the areas.
6. As to whether the healing may be accomplished without operative measures will depend upon the ability of those making the application to produce such measures where the cauterization would be proper, or those effective activities upon infected areas kept cleansed.
7. Rather, as we find, combined WITH the present application (and the one who understands the whole history of the physical condition) we would have the efforts of a specialist in this particular line or classification of disturbances. Through their combined efforts there would be produced the greater effectiveness, and prevent the greater activity toward the necessity of operative measures.
8. These as we find would be, or should be, the measures taken for the more effective conditions for the body.

9. To be sure, the prayer and meditative forces have their place - not only in the activities of the body and those about the body, but in the making application of curative or corrective measures for the disturbance.
10. It is evidenced that there is at times the accumulation in the system of poisons through the non-activity of the eliminating channels, through the kidneys, and the effect of the uric reaction.
11. This as we find is more the matter of the diet than of other conditions, WHEN there is the ability to keep the infected areas clear.
12. As we find, the use of a very MILD antiseptic applied to the infected portions would be more effective in such measures than the too astringent measures. An iodine that is soluble in water, rather than the silver nitrate, would be more effective.
13. These to be sure, however, must be the decisions of those making the applications.
14. In the matter of the diet, we find that those vegetables carrying quantities of insulin would be more effective for the activity of the assimilating system and the effect of same through the activity of the lower hepatic circulation, or kidney and bladder.
15. Hence, about two or three times each week we would have the Jerusalem artichoke as a part of the meal.
16. This with the general diet which has been given would be the measures as WE find would be the most beneficial.
17. These then, and these measures, these precautions, as we find are the better; else we may produce those conditions of such natures as to become very disturbing.
18. Ready for questions.
19. (Q) By suggesting the iodine soluble in water, do you refer to Atomidine? (A) Atomidine would be a measure, or one of those in which the atomic iodine would be more effective because the SAME or a CORRECT reaction may be expected with each application, or the same reactory measures.
20. (Q) Then, you would advise continuing with present treatment, and the same periodic examinations by my present physician? (A) We would advise the present treatment, provided there IS ALSO the advice and counsel of the specialist in such disturbance.
21. (Q) Would Dr. Furniss, the bladder specialist of New York, be a good one to call in? (A) Would be an excellent one!
22. (Q) What would be the effect of his method of treatment on the body?
1746-1 Page 3
(A) As just indicated, this MUST be kept in accord with the FINDINGS and the application of those measures taken by the present treatments, see? and only those of the nature added as indicated, as specific injections or clearings, would be then the further efforts of Furniss. Do that, and we would find the better conditions for this body; and the better precautionary measures to prevent it becoming of a nature that would require operative forces.
23. We are through for the present. Copy to Daughter " " Ass'n file (11/14/38 GD's note: At your convenience, we would appreciate having a history of your case to the time you obtained the Reading. This is valuable for our files.)
