Born November 6, 1910, in Scotia, New York. Time of Reading U.S.S. 4:15 to 5:15 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va.
1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions that are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth's plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity, and that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions he submits, as I ask them.
2. EC: (In going over years from present - " '39 - yes, he'll have a lot of changes in this year - '31, '30 - turmoils - '28 - fearful of self - " etc., on back to birth date. Then: "Another Atlantean, who will make the world better OR worse for his having been in same, dependent upon the manner of application of the abilities that are latent, and may be made manifest under many varying circumstances.")
3. We have the entity and those records of that entity now known as or called [1776].
4. In giving the interpretations, these are chosen with the intent and purpose to make for this entity an experience that may enable the entity to apply itself in such measures and manners as to be a helpful influence.
5. For, as we have indicated, in those cycles especially of '09, '10 and '11, many, many Atlanteans were incarnated into the earth experience. And through their formative AND active experience in materiality many changes are in the formation in the earth, as to nations, as to powers that are to bring into the consciousness of man in many spheres of activity the awareness of the Creative Forces and Influences.
6. That many such entities chose an environment in which the consciousness of the entity became warped, or a disappointing experience became a part of their activity, is not to be wondered at when the influences and activities of
1776-1 Page 2
the Atlanteans are taken into consideration; and the fact is established within the consciousness of each soul that it is constantly meeting itself.
7. Yet again such entities are given, are made aware within themselves that what has been given of old is indeed true within their own experience - that He, the Lord, hath not willed that any soul should perish but hath with every temptation, every trial, prepared a way, a means of escape.
8. Yet such entities, by their naturalness of activity in materiality, are endowed with faculties, with evidences, with awarenesses that are an outcome of the USE of spiritual things within their own realm of activity.
9. And indeed of him to whom much has been given is much required.
10. Yet abilities to use, abilities to enjoy, abilities to influence, abilities to wield an activity within the rank and file of the mental influences over the many, are part and parcel of the heritage of each soul who has experienced such.
11. Just as it has been said that a peculiar people hath been selected, as it were by God Himself.
12. Hence in giving the interpretations of these records for this entity, these are chosen with the intent as to arouse within the heart and soul of the entity those latent forces, those latent powers that may take hold upon infinity itself.
13. Thus may this entity become that power, that influence for the GLORY of TRUTH, for the development of self; that it may take its place, not only in the affairs and activities of a crying, weeping world, but that it may fulfillthat purpose whereunto it has been called into experience and activity.
14. There becomes then, in the interpretation, those influences or forces as indications, or signposts, as it were, along the way. Just as the entity may look about self and find itself a part of a heterogeneous mass of humanity, with thoughts, purposes and desires for self-expression - each desiring to make itself felt and yet knowing little of why it is in that position, socially, morally, materially or politically in which it may find itself.
15. As it views itself into the worlds about itself, it recognizes not only that it is a part of this material manifestation of individual entities but a part of a universal consciousness of WORLDS apparently without end. Yet it realizes there is a chord in thought, in purpose, in that intangible something that makes it aware of its desires that may not be answered by the material things; and
1776-1 Page 3
realizing that the greater influences or forces are the unseen powers that are within the ken of its own consciousness.
16. Then, as the astrological aspects are seen - these are but spheres of consciousness to which man in his desire to bring same into material manifestation has given names, to which he has accorded this or that influence; some to the weal, some to the woe.
17. It is not then because an entity was born at a certain season, or a certain phase of the moon, or a certain period of the sun's position to the earth, or any of the planets, or the position of this or that phase of the outer consciousness. But it is because of the entity's application of SELF IN RESPECT TO WHAT these planets or constellations bring by association of its activities. And thus the relative relationships may become a part of the awareness of the entity.
18. As we find, Mercury, Jupiter, Mars, Saturn, Venus - with Mars in an abstract position - all becoming a part of this entity's experience; not because of bodily birth but because of the ENTITY as a soul.
19. For the entity finds itself body, mind and soul, and recognizes - or may become aware of the manifestation of the Godhead in the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. He finds himself then a counterpart, a shadow of all that is; and that within his own self EACH CELL of its body is but a miniature of the universe without its own body, its own cell of positive and negative force that applies to the material, the mental and the spiritual. Indeed then the body is the temple of the living God, where He hath promised to meet thee in thy searching, in thy seeking to know what ye may do; not for the gratifying of thine own selfish self alone but to fulfillthe purpose for which ye came into being - to be then an emissary, and advocate - yea, a sign; that others who have lost their way - as YE may have lost thine may take hope and gain a more awareness of the God-force that IS latent and manifested within thine own self.
20. As to the astrological aspects that bring these as innate and manifested forces, -
21. Those in the Mercurian - high mental abilities; as combined with the Jupiterian in its benevolent influence making the more susceptible to Creative influences or forces.
22. This may make for the wielding of an influence upon the minds and the expressions and the manners and the means in which others may give expression of their emotions - as in music, as in song or in the writing or compiling of same.
1776-1 Page 4
This becomes a latent yet a very definite harmonious influence into the experience of the entity, as will be seen from the activities of this entity in its sojourns through the earth; just as from the activities through Saturn's influence we find the very sudden and definite changes that have come and may come into the experience of the entity materially in its environs, in its associations, in its intents and purposes; losing its perspective oft in those changes wrought in its environs.
23. Just as in the adverse forces of Mars, anger, wrath, war, and things as would make the preparations of same offer not only excuses but oft justifications for the rashness as may have been, as may become a part of the experience of the entity in its relationships with individuals, in its activity with those not only of its own kind or kindred but in the marital associations also.
24. The conflicting forces as seen in Venus make for the INTENSENESS in love and in hate, yet aiding when in those influences through those periods of forty ('40) and one and two ('41 and '42) there is the conjunction and the benevolent forces of Venus, Jupiter and Mercury; making for those years then when in this experience the greater creative endeavors may be begun - not ended but begun.
25. And all the joys, not of self-indulgence but of the abilities to create in its environs and the influences of others such motives, such impulses, either through the writing or the combining of the writing into music - yea, martial as well as the pastoral character; but that which is descriptive most of emotions. For as these run high and low, so - as thou failed in the activity once - do not let this experience, when ye meet thine self from thy throwing away of thine opportunities in the Atlantean sojourn, repeat itself in the present. Rather, as the opportunities are presented, be aware of them and in the position to make not merely amends but to meet thyself; choosing rather to be the doorkeeper in the house of God than a prince in those palaces of the unjust and wicked.
26. As to the appearances of the entity in the earth, these are not all here chosen. For as the entity applies self, as the varied experiences become a part of thy problems, some ye have faced, some ye have turned thy back upon. Remember, ye cannot run away from thyself. Remember the lesson as of old, "Thy brother's blood crieth unto thee from the ground," and thou art thy brother's keeper! And who is thy brother? He that needs thee, in ANY phase of his experience; any seeker after truth and justice and right, HE is thy brother - of whatever land or whatever clime! They that are
1776-1 Page 5
sufficient unto themselves need not the physician, but they - as thyself - that crieth, "Lord, Lord," they need thy strengthening arm, thy encouragement.
27. For as ye will comprehend, TRUTH, justice, right, hope, kindness, patience - these need not justification, only the glorifying of same in thy experience in thy dealings with thy fellowman day by day.
28. Know thyself first. Look within thine own heart. What is it ye would purpose to do? Satisfy thine own appetites? Satisfy thine own desire for power or glory, for fame or fortune? These, as ye have experienced and as ye know within thy deeper self, easily take wings and fly away. Only those things that are just, those things that are beautiful, those things that are harmonious, that arise from brotherly kindness, brotherly love, patience, hope and graciousness, LIVE. These are the fruits of those UNSEEN forces that ye recognize as being the powers that rule this universe - yea, this heterogeneous mass of human emotions and human souls; that power which arises from GOOD - not from hate nor malice nor greed nor covetousness. For these take hold upon the gates of hell and are the torments to man's soul!
29. Then, before this we find the entity was in the land of the present nativity, during those periods of the early settlings in the land of this nativity.
30. The entity was among those who were born in the land, during those early periods; making for activities among the natives that brought greater peace and harmony by the very activities of taking hold upon nature's storehouse and USING those abilities as wrought during the experience to bring beauty out of the rill, out of the song of the morning, out of the nightbird's song, out of the music of the mountains; and making it into those things that brought greater understanding.
31. With the arousing of hate by the various characters of groups when selfishness entered in, the entity became rather an outcast because of its desire to deal gently with those peoples of its own vicinity and land.
32. Misjudged - and lost hold upon self. And in the present experience the entity often condemns itself without a cause, looking upon those activities within its associations of others with seeing eye only of that as might be called the condemning of another.
33. Hold rather to those things in which, in thy dealings with thy fellowman, ye may see only the pure, the GOOD! For until ye are able to see within the life and activities of those ye have come to hate the most, SOMETHING ye would
1776-1 Page 6
worship in thy Creator, ye haven't begun to think straight.
34. Look for good and ye will find it. Search for it, for it is as a pearl of great price. For there is so much good in the WORST, that ye may never judge another by thine own short standards. Condemn not if ye would not be condemned.
35. The name then was William Cowper - a writer, yes; a message bearer, yes; and a misunderstood one.
36. Before that the entity was in that land now called the Roman, during those periods when there was the spreading of the activities and the visions of those in authority, - where the powers were given into the hands of others to control various groups in other lands by the might or power, or by the intercessions of those by vows taken in the various forms.
37. There we find the entity rather in that capacity of one, as today would be termed, who would judge a land as to its worth FOR conquering, or as to what place it might fill in the desires of an individual, a nation, a group spreading its own tentacles of power throughout then that portion of the activative world.
38. The entity then was in the name Xensonia; of Grecian descent, yes - of those peoples who had wielded an influence in the activities of the Romans such as to bring a unison of power and might.
39. Hence we find the entity in the present at home in ANY sphere, any clime, any peoples; oft seeing, oft judging the abilities of various groups and peoples as to where and how they would fit into the activities of this, that or the other nation.
40. Seek rather in the present to unify their harmonies in music and word pictures as would produce historical settings of the strugglings of a group here or there; whether it be of the South Sea Isles or the cities of culture and learning, as man hath called them. And ye will find in same that to the consciousness of man there is much of the answering influence or force that maketh people unafraid.
41. It is the FEAR of the unknown that first makes fear. And then that of comparison within the own self of that which has injured its own pride. Pride goeth before the fall, as ye have experienced.
42. Yet humbleness of heart, pureness of purpose, determination to do the right will make thee STRONG in the might of Him who hath CALLED thee to a power.
43. Before that we find the entity was in the Atlantean land, during those periods when there was the breaking up of the land, when there was the continued activity of the sons of the Law of One and the sons of Belial.
1776-1 Page 7
44. There we find the entity among the sons of the Law of One, but turning the gifts of the spirit of light and truth into channels in which there was the consorting with the daughters of Belial.
45. And these brought inharmony. These brought those periods of mental, physical - yea, of spiritual disturbances that continue to be met in itself - as has been given in the varied experiences, even unto now.
46. Yet these are before thee - thy abilities, thy errors; thy faults, thy virtues. And if the Lord be on thy side, WHO - WHO can be against thee?
47. He hath called thee, He hath entrusted thee with the abilities to guide thy fellowman, to direct them in paths of hope through thy efforts, through thy abilities in the music, in the writing - historical or episodical. All of these are a part of thyself. Use them, not abusing them, - but knowing, as ye apply thyself TODAY, tomorrow the GREATER things are given thee.
48. Then, know in WHOM ye have believed, and in what ye have believed, and Who is the author of thy belief. For if thy ideal is not set in constructive things, as arise from the spirit of truth, the END thereof must be, as it were with thee as Assano in the Atlantean land - that of death to many.
49. The death is separation, and thus man hath dreaded same; yet when it has lain aside its phase that maketh afraid, it is but the birth into OPPORTUNITIES that - if they are embraced with Him, the TRUTH, AS thy guide - will bring joy and harmony into thy experience!
50. Ready for questions.
51. (Q) What particular life work will offer the greatest opportunity for mental and spiritual development? (A) In writing or in writing with music. That which, as indicated, is a description, whether martial or pastoral, or in writing that might be said to be of the same character. Do not separate them, for they each offer to the entity a means, a channel of expression the other does not. Ye may become materially, spiritually, a success in both.
52. (Q) What steps should be taken for a development of these? (A) Apply self. Use that in hand. Use that ye have today. Then as it opens before thee, other steps, other measures may be given thee.
53. (Q) When should I plan to leave the Navy? (A) Just as the cycle comes around. As ye have prepared yourself under the present environ - yes, work; but PLAN thine own environ, and when ye leave the Navy, marry - but
1776-1 Page 8
not IN the Navy.
54. (Q) What have been my past associations with Willetta [...] and for our mutual mental and spiritual development what should be our present life association? (A) These have crossed thy past oft. In the experiences before this as a friend and associate who understood, yet not able to give that help either socially or materially as was desired. In the experience through the Roman land, more closely associated. But the closer still in the Atlantean experience. As to what these should be, they should be natural growths and choices of each - rather than as a SET thing. For these, as they meet themselves - there is either the helpful or detrimental force wrought from the varied activities. These may all together become beautiful, if the purposes are one. If there are those things in common for creative forces, then beautiful - and close associations.
55. (Q) With Lucille [...]? (A) These, as we find, have crossed oft. Not very good at any. Too contentious one with another.
56. (Q) With Betty [...]? (A) These have met in the varied forms and manners. The BETTER may be determined by whatever the choice may be in the efforts in the present activities. For there is much in common, yet the desires and the motivating forces of the spirit of each are far, far afield!
57. (Q) With which of the above would marriage be most advisable? (A) The first - provided the choices of each are as indicated. First know what is that ye desire - thy purpose. Is it creative or is it selfish? The field of activity lies in harmony, that is, music and writing. Then prepare thyself, as ye have in the natural heritage of thy experiences in the earth. Then as thy developments come, one by one ye will know by thy inner promptings. For if His promises are not true to thee, then they are not thine own. But make them so. For He IS the way, the truth, the light - Who hath given to thee, "Come - I stand at the door and knock. Open and I will enter and abide with thee." And the application of self into those influences and forces
1776-1 Page 9
as He may direct will bring even those promises as He hath given, "I will bring to thy remembrance ALL things since the foundation of the world."
