Time of Reading 3:45 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions that may be submitted, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes.

3. Now, as we find, these disturbances here with [1781] arise primarily from a stomach disorder; though the effects of administrations have caused the agitans or the shaking or palsied effect that comes over portions of the body - being the effects of administrations, rather than other causes that have brought about these conditions.

4. The inability of keeping the coordination through the blood supply, owing to toxic forces as well as the disturbance in the functioning of the system, makes this rather a condition where LITTLE may be applied other than that already being administered - as we find.

5. However, if there were some changes, and more of the hot and cold water therapy administered, with the electrical treatments that merely HEAT the body, as WE find, there might be a great deal more accomplished for this body.

6. But the attitude, the desires or purposes for activity, and the use to which the mental and physical self would be put, would have a great deal to do with HOW the response would be.

7. For unless a life can be lived for a purposefulness of constructiveness within the experience, how has it been said of those who would hinder or cause offence?

8. The administrations then for this body, as we would give them - keep that which has been done and is being done; unless there is the desire for a more constructive activity within the abilities of the body.

9. Then if that is chosen, and chosen with the desire and purpose and activity in accord, use then the hot and cold therapy; this applied all over the body, with the rubs and the Diathermy that merely heats the whole body; and we will

find greater results, and more helpful forces for same.

10. Ready for questions.

11. (Q) Any advice regarding diet? (A) This would be best chosen by such an one making administrations of that which is chosen by the body as the manner or means which it will pursue.

12. We are through for the present. Two copies to Mr. [437] Copy to Ass'n file (1/4/39 GD's notes: If you choose to follow these suggestions, we would refer you to Dr. Louis H. Backman, 40 West 55th St., N.Y.C., and suggest that you show him the reading. At your convenience we would appreciate a history of your case to the time of obtaining the reading. This is very valuable for our files, as it is the only way we can make any comparison that would be worthwhile for research purposes with our records.) )
