Time of Reading 10:45 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Ky.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions that may be submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1787].

3. Now as we find, there are disturbing conditions which prevent the better normal reactions for the physical body.

4. These as we find are affectations in the throat, bronchi and a portion of the lung.

5. We find these are the effect of scar tissue by or from a great amount of temperature, and the causes through same of draining the system of its better activity through the action of the lymph circulation.

6. This tends to cause the hard breathing, an asthmatic reaction at times; drying through nasal passages and throat, and pains through the chest.

7. All of these work upon the sympathetic system in such a manner as to cause great anxiety to the body.

8. The natural inclination from such affection and infection is to cause the lack of proper amount of the red blood supply to the system. A little disturbance at times, especially when there are the recurrent conditions from either atmospheric pressures or the inhalations of dust or of other conditions - as to cause the irritation to affected portions to reduce the efficiency of the blood supply in its attempt to supply sufficient of the leucocyte to ward off or throw off the disturbed conditions.

9. From same there is the inclination for superacidity throughout the system. At times this tends to work a hardship upon the digestive organism, and so the body has periods when there is little desire for eating - or the anxiety as produced through a portion of the digestive system, working upon the sympathetic reactions of same we have the restlessness at times, and anxieties throughout the whole of the sympathetic nervous system.

10. Also a reaction from these at times is to the lower hepatics, and a disturbance somewhat through the activity of the bladder as related to the kidneys and the eliminations through same.

11. All of these we find become a part of the disturbance with this body.

12. Then, in making administrations that would be not only helpful but - if consistently applied - would alleviate a great deal of the anxiety and the disturbing forces, gradually RE-CONDITIONING the system as it were:

13. Many phases of the conditions must be taken into consideration. It is true that through a portion of the throat or bronchi and larynx there is the inclination for scar tissue, and such encasement of the circulatory forces as to cause the inclination for an atrophy. Not atrophy in its true sense, but a decrease in the size and in the quantity of the impulse as may be carried through that portion of the circulatory forces.

14. This need NOT cause great anxiety, if the sources are taken into consideration FROM WHICH the impulses arise for both the circulatory forces of the lymph and the blood supply to go through same; and these stimulated to activity in such a manner as to rejuvenate or rebuild those portions of a disturbed system.

15. All portions of the body receive impulses for activity through the nerve SYSTEMS of the body; and these in turn receive impulse from the cerebrospinal as well as the sympathetic or vegetative nerve system that runs parallel or on either side of the cerebrospinal system.

16. These particular portions disturbed with this body receive their greater impulse from the plexus and centers along the upper dorsal and throughout the cervical area, and especially through what may be called the vegetative centers.

17. We would then stimulate these, osteopathically, in such a manner as to aid the system in resuscitating and revivifying these portions of the body.

18. First, then, we would have a series of adjustments osteopathically, with special attention to the upper dorsal and the whole of the cervical area; coordinating at times - during the series of treatments - the lumbar and sacral as well as the lower dorsal plexus center, or the 9th dorsal, WITH the other adjustments made.

19. Take these twice a week for a series of about three weeks; leave off for about two weeks and then have another series. Then have another rest period, and then another series of treatments.

20. And we will find this should have then stimulated the system so that, with the other suggestions followed throughout the same period as indicated here, there will be entirely different reactions in the body; for betterment.

21. Throughout the period we would also use those influences that will tend to allay irritations to the tissue area in the throat, nasal passages and the lungs even themselves; that is, we would inhale the fumes from pure Apple Brandy from an oak charred keg. Prepare same in this manner: In a gallon or two gallon charred oak keg, put at least half a gallon of Pure Apple Brandy. This should be prepared so there are two openings in one end of same; one with a tube or an iron or lead pipe, small, about a quarter inch; the other only a small gimlet hole but so that it might be kept corked when not in use. This is not to be taken internally, only the fumes from same inhaled; by keeping it close to a radiator or fire where the activity of the heat will cause evaporation. And once or twice each day inhale the gas or fumes, much as one would a cigarette, DEEP into the lungs, see? as well as through the nasal passages. Do this once or twice - at least twice each day; morning upon arising, evening before retiring. This acts not only as a purifier of tissue but enables the tissue itself to be revivified by the stimulation of impulses from the cerebrospinal system through nerve and blood supply.

22. We would also stimulate the circulatory system to carry that which may be assimilated in the blood supply, so as to stimulate a greater supply to the blood stream of those influences through the assimilations of the body that would be effective for the inclinations towards anemia. This as we find may be done by the taking internally of Calcios at least once each day; just sufficient quantity to spread thinly - as butter - upon a wafer or cracker, see? Preferably we would take this with the evening meal.

23. Also be mindful that the diet is such that the eliminations are well provided for; at least one or two evacuations of the alimentary canal each day.

24. Occasionally we would use enemas to cleanse the colon itself from the excess of the eliminating forces as should be expelled by the applications through the osteopathic manipulations.

25. DO NOT do just part! Either do ALL as suggested or NONE of same!

26. But if there is consistency to at least the third or fourth period or round of the osteopathic manipulations, and each day THROUGHOUT the WHOLE period the other properties used and taken as indicated, we should find near to normal

reactions for this body of [1787].

27. Ready for questions.

28. (Q) Is there an osteopath either in Madisonville or nearby that you would suggest for giving these treatments? (A) Just so it is one in sympathy with the directions indicted, or that will make the applications AS INDICATED! Insist upon those being made in THAT manner.

29. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See extra copy of directions [which was enclosed] for Osteopath. We would appreciate your giving us the name and address of the osteopath you choose, so we may put him on our mailing list. Also see drawing [which was enclosed] describing how Apple Brandy Keg should be prepared. Calcios is manufactured by The Colloidal Health Products Corp., Greenvale, Long Island, N.Y. It comes in a syrupy paste, and sells for $2.50 a jar. At your convenience we would appreciate having a history of your case to the time of obtaining the Reading. This is valuable for our files, so we will have something with which to compare our information.) .)
