Time of Reading 11:05 to 11:10 A. M. Eastern War Time. ..., Michigan.

1. HLC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with further suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes.

3. As we find, this body is developing better than when last we had it. While there are those upsets, and those reactions from the condition of the tonsils - we find that the osteopathic manner of treating same would be better for the body, rather than the operative forces.

4. We would keep the body-building influences as a part of the diet.

5. Keep the body active in the open whenever practical.

6. And these should bring about the better influences about this body.

7. Ready for questions.

8. (Q) What would be suggested for winter amusements or interests in the house? (A) Special adaptation of the blocks and things that the body would make or build in the house. There are special things for just such conditions, in books and in blocks. These we would use. Colors, rings, forming of patterns, and the like.

9. (Q) Should his tonsils be removed; if so, when? (A) Rather, as just indicated. If there then comes disturbance, by neglect, it would be time enough to remove them; but there won't be disturbance of such a nature if there is given the proper attention osteopathically. Tonsils are for a purpose. They are not superficial. And there is never the whole activity when they are necessarily removed.

10. (Q) How can we prevent colds this winter and sudden temperatures? (A) Keep the alkalized conditions for the body. Keep an alkalinity.

11. (Q) Should any tonics be taken?

1788-11 Page 2

(A) As we find, the reinforced foods with Vitamin B-1 and Carotene [carotin], (that is, all yellow foods) or those of such natures, are better than tonics. For these can be controlled much better, but necessitates that there be a continuous use of such things in the diet through the winter, especially, see?

12. (Q) Is his diet alright? (A) This is very good, though we would change some of those things in the winter or cold periods, in that direction as we have indicated.
