Time of Reading 3:50 to 4:00 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions he has submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1798].

3. Now as we find, while there is very little resistance, there may be some help; giving opportunity for recuperative forces to respond - unless there is the reverting to the disturbing conditions which exist in the other organs, through the stomach and the lungs, and the digestive forces.

4. For the condition has developed so far, there is little of the ability to assimilate that taken into the body at all. And this, of course, gradually weakens the blood supply. And when there is any hemorrhage, this only tends to make greater strain on the ability for recuperative forces to be active at all with the body.

5. Then, as we find, we would begin with these:

6. Of course, this is to give strength and vitality to the system, and it is necessary that it is not overdone nor yet any of it left undone; else we may find conditions converting upon themselves.

7. All the foods must be almost of a predigested nature, so that the assimilation may be almost instantly.

8. Hence the food values taken should be very slowly but rather often taken, and not too much EVER at any one time.

9. Prepare first the beef juice, not a broth - none of the fats with same at all. A little of this may be given every twenty minutes if it is so desired, but do not EVER take more than a teaspoonful - and this taken in three, four, five sips.

10. Do not ever take so much as to overcrowd the stomach and cause greater regurgitation than occurs at times even now.

11. Malted milk with apple brandy may be alternated with this; the proportions being a teaspoonful of the Apple Brandy to a glass of the Malted Milk and egg. This quantity may be prepared at the time if it is kept on ice; but NEVER give more than a teaspoonful at the time, you see, and this only in sips.

12. As the healing forces we would inhale the fumes from Apple Brandy in a charred keg; inhaling same into the lungs two to three times each day. Put about half a gallon of the Apple Brandy in a gallon or gallon and a half charred oak keg; charred inside, to be sure. Have two openings in the end of same, which would be kept tightly corked. Keep same close to heat sufficiently for evaporation. Only the gas inhaled into the lungs, through the mouth and throat, see? for the healing as well as strengthening forces for the body.

13. Also, in a quart of water in the room, or in a kettle of water, put about five to six drops of Oil of Eucalyptus and ONE drop of Turpentine. Keep this in the room, see? Do not let this more than just COME to a boil, see? but keep so that the steam or vapor is in the room.

14. But there needs to be, of course, as much fresh air as possible; though never a draft upon the body.

15. Bathe the back - that is, sponge same off - about once or twice a week with GRAIN alcohol, NOT denatured or rub alcohol but GRAIN alcohol; to REST the back as well as to strengthen same, and to keep down temperature.

16. The other foods as may be taken should be preferably the juices of vegetables that are cooked in their OWN juices.

17. Do these for ten days to two weeks, then if there is a response we would give further instructions.

18. Ready for questions.

19. (Q) Where can I buy a charred oak keg? (A) Reynolds through Belknap, or through Reynolds from Belknap.

20. (Q) What can I do to get rid of fluid in pleural walls? (A) If there are the inhalations kept and sufficient eliminations, we will gradually absorb this - if there is the ability of the body to make response. Of course, if this is accumulated for some time without response, necessary to draw off.

21. (Q) How long before I can get out of bed for a while? (A) This depends, to be sure, upon response. As has been indicated, we will either see within the period a response or collapse - dependent upon the abilities of the body to MAKE for the USE of its opportunity.

22. (Q) Should just the juices of vegetables be taken?

1798-1 Page 3

(A) Other than this will be poison to the system! If you feed him every fifteen or thirty minutes, he can get powerful fat on it!

23. (Q) Should any fruit juices be taken? (A) These may be given occasionally, to change from the others; but it will have to be careful with same. As indicated, the vegetables of all characters cooked in their OWN juices - this doesn't mean boil with meat or water or anything else, but boil in their OWN juices, in Patapar Paper!

24. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (Get Mrs. Helen Storey at Reynolds Hdwe. Co. [Norfolk, Va.] to order the charred oak keg for you [from Belknap Hdwe. & Mfg. Co., Louisville, Ky.]. Also ask her where in Norfolk to get the Patapar Paper. See directions [which were enclosed] for preparing Pure Beef Juice. If undecided about how to prepare keg, observe Miss [1548]'s oak keg at ...) )
