Time of Reading 4:05 to 4:10 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va.
1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions he has submitted, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes.
3. Now as we find, conditions show some improvement. Some resistances have been built up.
4. We would not change from those applications that have been the more recently made. We would keep to the building diets that have been indicated.
5. And we will find that through these applications we may bring the better conditions for the body.
6. Regarding the operative measures - be mindful to remove the pressure or the adherence of the capsule of the lung to the rib portion itself; else there may be the effect of pneumonia.
7. But if the proper precautions are taken, and the body built up sufficiently, we find that this would relieve the tension; though it would produce, of course, a great weakness for a time with the body.
8. Then, keep those things that are indicated, and that have been applied; and keep the building up of the system.
9. And be careful respecting these conditions as just indicated.
10. Ready for questions.
11. (Q) How may we know just when the body is built up sufficiently to stand the operation? (A) As may be indicated by the blood tests, as well as the activity of the body; the responses of the body to the temperatures.
12. (Q) Do you advise this operation? (A) As indicated, this is the way to remove such; but precautions must be taken.
13. (Q) Is the fluid all gone? (A) Not entirely gone, but MOST of it gone.
14. (Q) Should anything be added to present treatments?
1798-4 Page 2
(A) As indicated, we would follow the present treatments, but keep the body-building foods for the body.
15. (Q) What improvements do you find? (A) As just indicated, there is more strength, less of the fluid, and less inflammation.
16. (Q) Any further advice? (A) These we would do, as has just been indicated.
