1. GC: You will have before you, in this room, two used radio active appliances. One #1 - a single unit applicator. Other #2 - a unit with attachment for mineral in solution or negative pole. You will answer the questions I ask relative to the use and upkeep of this appliance and what claims to present to secure patents for protection in manufacture of these forms of applicators.
2. EC: Yes, we have the applicator here, with those conditions relative to same; in their upkeep, the manner of application, and of the manufacturing and protection in manufacturing, and the relation same bears to patentable articles.
3. Now, in these, we find there may be much said as to the use of the applicator, and in the manufacture of same. In the keeping of same, all parts should be protected in a way that will not cause short circuiting at any time. To give the active principle for a patent, one or both steels may be magnetized, and this would, especially in the action of minerals, give off more charge. This, then, would cause the necessity of there being no outside carbon; rather charcoal, or bound in glass, see? In the attachment for the mineral discharge is the patentable feature, see? In the manner of protection for such an applicator, the copyright of its use, and the patent on the attachment of the mineral WITH SAME, would make the patentable and the covering for the protection with such conditions, see? copyrighting of rules and regulations, or laws governing same, assigning of such, with the attachment and with the rules governing each, for each would necessarily be covered in such, see? Ready for questions.
4. (Q) Are these applicators in good working order? (A) When cleansed, yes. That is, the anodes, see? and when in ice, see, or on ice, and these should be on ice at least, or ice around same, for ten to fifteen minutes before attachment to body, see? so that the discharge from same, from system to iron, from iron to body, see, may be set in motion by the difference in temperature in same; for the
1800-14 Page 2
form of electricity as is set is as that of the equalizing, or of the vibratory form, and may be measured through the body when in action with mineral, or in that alone; that is, one anode attached to the human body, one attached to the magneto, the other to the body, will show the vibration as is set between same, and that as is shown with that of the action of minerals will show the vibration of those minerals in action, with a static form of electricity in their active principles, how that some give off that vibration of a high and reversing, low and reversing, see? That is, with slight change, but DECIDED change, especially as that is shown with iron, with gold, with silver, with camphor, for these vibrations are of the nature, with the vibrations of the system, as of the electrones as are emanated in system through the various centers from which these principles vibrate in the body against such an instrument as is made in the Radio-Active Applicator.
5. (Q) What directions should be given users that they may keep their applicators in good order? (A) When not in use keep them out of water, and dried, see, in sun, and not ever placed on metal, where the forces of the magnetic iron may not lose but may GAIN, see? keeping all anodes polished, never in contact with either, see? Keeping those, when used in solution, in the way of being cleansed before being used, or polished or rubbed, see? that there may be no short circuiting.
6. (Q) In the crock containing ice and ice water, is the same result obtained whether ice is in one large piece or many smaller pieces? (A) Same result whether large or whether many smaller - the only condition being, many smaller will give off more emanation and cool much quicker than from one large, see?
7. (Q) Does the current flow first from the body to the applicator and then back to the body after going through the applicator? (A) First from body to applicator, then back from body, see? through the applicator, or from applicator to body, which is as comes from that as is seen for the solutions, see? Hence, as is seen, in making the test of the character of the electrical current, necessary that the positive be attached to the body, then such a register from body to the negative pole, or anode.
8. (Q) In the human body, do organs by the self division of cells give off a current, or carbon dioxide or both? (A) Both, for in the action of same is seen that of the necessary change in the minerals to be applied for that diffusion in the system to be overcome. Hence we find, as we find in these combinations as given, iron is of a nature,
1800-14 Page 3
the copper of a nature of vibration in wire, the lead, the combination of lead in this connection, the ice, the water, all give their principles, as are seen, as necessary in the vibratory force as set up in a living organism, see? Then, as these are combined with those elements as are soluble in alcohol, or minerals are soluble in water, these give off their vibrations, or those minerals as are soluble in other solutions, each with the vibrations of the iron, of the copper, of the lead, of the various elements, bring about that equalization necessary, which is creating in the system the correct equilibrium, and bringing the better metabolism, which is the BASIS FIRST of all disorders within a living organism! for with a correct metabolism, the body becomes a NORMAL outflow, a normal vibratory force, see?
9. (Q) Patent lawyers claim no application for patent would be considered on single applicator, unless one could prove the form of electricity generated and some measurement of same made. What wording would be used for a patent application of a radio-active battery - using minerals in solution, with attachment to negative pole? (A) This may be made in the manner as has been given. Present same to the electrical engineer in Columbia, and there will be seen the measurement, the vibration, the various characters in the vibratory forces as are set in the various minerals and solutions, will be given in chart form. These may be presented, these may be covered in the copyright of use, and of patent, especially, on that of the solution connection in negative pole. Niece - the electrician [Neice - Neese - Nice? Nies? Nix]. [See 1800-14, Par. R3.]
10. (Q) Where? (A) Columbia University. Associate of Edison - twenty-three years.
11. (Q) Any further information that will be of assistance? (A) Much information may be given. We are through for the present. (3/2/26 GD's note: Mr. [195] wrote the following directions to be given those using the Radio-Active Appliance; with solutions: Take a two gallon CROCK and fill half full of ice and ice water. Place Battery B therein and allow to stay therein for at least 15 minutes before ready to use. Place medicine in Vial C. Run lead anode therein and insert slotted cork therein. When ready to use, always FIRST attach SMALL German silver anode D to wrist or ankle as directed. After a few seconds attach larger anode E to body - just left of umbilicus. The vibrations in most cases are faint and can

not be felt. When finished using remove B from ice water and let drain. Remove lead anode from Bottle C. Keep anodes bright and clean by rubbing with cloth or emery paper before using. The solutions used in Bottle C, in most cases lose their potency after twenty treatments and fresh solution then must be obtained. [See Source File Key #1800 for applicator diagram accompanying [195]'s directions above re 1800-14.])
