1. GC: You will have before you the entities and enquiring minds of Gray Salter, present in this room; Thomas House, of R.F.D. #2, Box 20, Hopkinsville, Ky., whose letter I hold in my hand; Hugh Lynn Cayce, present in this room, and their contemplated plans for the manufacture of Ipsab and distribution of same through the Perry Drug Co., of Nashville, Tenn. You will please advise them as to the correct way of handling this, answering the questions which they will ask.

2. EC: Yes, we have the bodies, the enquiring minds, Gray Salter, Thomas House, Hugh Lynn Cayce, Perry Drug Company. In outlining such procedures as necessary for the furthering of such a project, this may be done in more than one manner - both be right, or both made a failure of. As much has been given respecting the manufacture and distribution of this product, or compound, well that some of these at least - be reviewed for all concerned, and that some consideration of same be given this by each individual concerned; for the product, as has been given, is as near a specific for pyorrhea and its concurrent effects as has ever been presented to individuals, groups, or public. Better, and more safe. The proper distribution of same is that all concerned first be sold on the product for its worth as an eradicator of the disorder, rather than from any monetary reason. Second, that the channel through which such might be distributed should also be convinced that all claims as may be made, or set forth, are true to the best of their knowledge and belief, and that the source of the information is at least scientific and Worth considering.

3. With such conditions once established in the minds of those that would deal with same, then - as we would find - in a few years the proposition should be able to supply those necessary funds to carry on research work, whether in the psychic field, educational field, or what not, and sufficient funds from the sale of same would supply same; to

1800-18 Page 2

be sure, unless it's all given away to someone for distribution!

4. In considering, then, from the individuals' standpoint as seeking in this present association for the carrying out of that contemplated in the manufacture and distribution of same:

5. Those as given are QUALIFIED to do that part that might be given as their portion of such a project, PROVIDED - however - that each works at his own job without interfering with the other, and in prayerful harmony keeps first and foremost that of service to the fellow man that may be suffering from such conditions as may be aided through such a formula.

6. The manner, then, should be studied from those angles. Are each willing to conform to the necessary conditions for them to fill their portion of such endeavor? Are they willing to take the blame and the credit alike for the various conditions as will arise, and the various problems in the preparation of same? They should begin on a very small scale, and let the products and the income pay for the distribution as it goes. Do not be hasty in the contracts that would be necessary between individuals that would manufacture or with individuals that would be the distributors, and there should be worked out in detail the requirements for each step of both manufacture and delivery, and distribution, as well as for the mode or manner that each is to perform in their part of the proposition.

7. In this, then, begin - not hastily, but in earnest, and draw out first those agreements between themselves in the satisfactory manner to all concerned that would produce or manufacture same. Then in the name of one, or of the group, have the name REGISTERED, and the manner of application with the reports from users copyrighted, and prepare a package as would be first for delivery - as would be the first step for the distributor to furnish the container and the labels for same, and when labels are printed they should bear the Trademark Registered Ipsab - Trademark Registered. Then when this is concluded, outline and make the agreements with distributor that is satisfactory to all concerned - distributor, the manner of distribution, the manner of advertising, the manner of dealing with the retail, the jobber, the wholesaler. All must be set in the beginning, before one bottle is distributed. The printing bearing such has nothing to do with the register or copyright, for the law requires same be in effect - as has been outlined. Then when you are ready, go ahead!

8. Ready for questions.

9. (Q) Would it be advisable and advantageous for Hugh Lynn Cayce to go to Nashville, Tenn., at once to assist in arranging for this contract and complete arrangements with House? (A) That's beginning backwards! As has been given, first there should be those arrangements, those agreements in black and white, signed, sealed, delivered, to each who is to be interested in the manufacture of same. Then outline the various forms of agreements with distributor. This will require time, but make haste slowly! Dealing with millions, though you are commencing with pennies!

10. (Q) In which of the following places should this manufacturing be begun: Virginia Beach, Va., Hopkinsville, Ky., or Nashville, Tenn.? (A) As we find, no matter where begun it would be eventually changed but begin where those nearest fit that as is outlined. Do not - those beginning to manufacture, or those beginning distributing - make agreements or contracts, or connections, that the end of that INDIVIDUAL contract - at least - isn't in sight. That is, do not obligate self for a place, a house, or products, that may not easily be seen where the rest, or money for same, is to come from; for, as is seen, when there is the agreement satisfactory - If any are faint hearted, don't begin! If there is the agreement satisfactory between the manufacturers, then if it is distributed through drug house, all necessary ingredients for the manufacture may be included as an order from the same to whom it is distributed, so it becomes a cycle in itself. The ONLY moneys that may become necessary of any amount, then, would be for the register and copyright, which may be done a month or a year from now with the same expedience as it may be to lay out enormous amount or dollars now for same, and with the same impunity!

11. (Q) Would Wm. Clark, a young lawyer in Hopkinsville, Ky., be the correct person to handle the legal points involved in this undertaking? (A) May be when it's necessary for a lawyer, but the NECESSITY is the agreement between and among themselves, first, that's satisfactory! If it's desired to be termed into legal phrases, he'll do as well as anyone else - but why pay him, if the agreements are signed and sealed and delivered to each? The phraseology of same may be obtained from anybody you may talk with, or read - too - without price! Why pay him? When necessary, he'll be very good - though he knows little about copyright or register laws!

12. (Q) Tell us if the following set up is correct, and advise each in their respective work as I call their names: (A) The best set-up will be that the ones interested, first

1800-18 Page 4

- each draw - separate from the other - what THEIR idea of the set-up should be, were THEY going to say how it should be run! Then those that coordinate are set aside, those that do not agree are thrashed out and each then has put his own self, rather than someone writing out what each should do! "Well, I don't know whether I can do that or not - I'll do the best I can"! but if they have set their own selves, they know darn well they can or can't!
