1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions she has submitted, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes.
3. It would be very well if all who seek through these channels were to assume the attitude of this body.
4. We have the body, [1810].
5. As we find, there are disturbing conditions as prevent a better normal physical activity.
6. As to what have been the contributing causes to the conditions which exist at present, there would be many that have entered in; some of the diet, some of the activities or lack of same in some directions, some in the mental attitude, and a specific disturbance in the cerebrospinal system.
7. ALL of these have been and are contributory causes to the present condition existent.
8. These then are the disturbances as we find them with this body, [1810] we are speaking of:
9. THE BLOOD SUPPLY indicates the source of disturbance as being both in the liver AND the lower hepatic circulation. For there are indications of a disturbance that prevents the better assimilation of any oils or fats. Also there is an inclination for sediments to remain or become active in the gall duct and the gall bladder itself, as well as some uric acid through the system; and this acidizing the blood stream thus leaves tissue in many portions of the body, especially in the extremities, to become at times numb, or the inclination to feel a slowed or stopped circulation through same, by the slowing up of the activity of the blood stream.
10. In the blood's activity also we find, according to the activities of the body, there is quite a variation in the pulsation. Hence as we find, these while affecting the organs of the hepatic circulation are gradually also
1810-1 Page 2
affecting the circulation as related to heart and pulmonary activity.
11. In the nervous system - we find there are those inclinations for a circular lesion to exist, in those areas of the cerebrospinal system, in the upper dorsal and lower cervical area. And this has been at times a contributory cause to the activity of those organs that produce through their activity those disturbances in the circulatory as well as in the eliminating system, or through the alimentary canal as well as the activity through the perspiratory system, the urinary canal, the respiratory system, or those variations that come as to the amount of the oxidization which takes place in purifying the blood force in the lung itself.
12. As to the organs themselves - with the involvement in the circulatory force as related to functional disturbances in the organs, and combined with the suppression in the nervous system or the coordination between sympathetic and cerebrospinal impulses, we find many of the organs become involved.
13. ALL of the sensory system show a variation; that is, the taste at times gives some disturbance - things do not taste exactly as formerly, or things do not seem as palatable as they should. This, of course, arouses somewhat of a resentment in the reaction to the nervous system. Also in vision, in hearing, in the feeling, or the inclinations through the impulses of the activities of the sensory forces, the body becomes supersensitive; and at other times apparently not aware of any such resentments as may be a part of the body's mental REACTION at times.
14. Then, in making corrective forces for this body, as we find, these would be the manners in which the best - or better results might be obtained:
15. First, we would begin with the osteopathic corrective measures; especially in those areas from which impulses for activity are received to the liver and the eliminating system, as to the alimentary canal.
16. AFTER there have been at least five to six such adjustments made, and there is the reaction from same, we would GRADUALLY - not severely, but gradually, after that - DRAIN the gall duct osteopathically, see? This will relieve then this tension.
17. In the meantime there would be taken such properties as found in Alcaroid, after each meal for three or four days; then leave off for a week, then take again for three or four days - and so on; to produce a better assimilation through the system, and thus alkalizing not only the whole of the
1810-1 Page 3
alimentary canal but through the stimulation of the blood stream itself, by this taking and leaving off.
18. Also throughout the period we would keep a better elimination through the alimentary canal. This as we find had best be through a diet AND the use of high enemas.
19. With the taking of the Alcaroid and the treatments before the draining of the gall duct area begins, if there is a fullness experienced through the colon, then we would have a colonic irrigation - given by one well versed in same, see?
20. But the use of high enemas, if taken body-temperature and with a saline solution, SHOULD be sufficient; that is, add a heaping teaspoonful of table salt and a level teaspoonful of baking soda to each quart of water used for such enemas - body-temperature. But there may be a greater stimulation or response to the manipulations and the diet than might be considered in the present condition.
21. In the matter of the diet - do not take any fried foods. Do not take too great quantities of sweets, especially of syrups that are principally of cane sugar. Sweets such as honey, especially with the honeycomb, are very well.
22. Do not take cereals AND citrus fruits (as orange juice or grapefruit) at the same meal, but have these on separate days. Do not drink coffee or tea with cream or milk in same.
23. Do take the whole wheat cereals once or twice a week; preferably cracked wheat or the combination of wheat and barely - as in Maltex - but either of these should be well cooked.
24. The meats - if any are taken - should only be fish, fowl or lamb, and these never fried.
25. Vegetables should be a great portion of the diet, and have at least one green vegetable - that is, raw vegetable, - each day, or a green vegetable mixture at least once every day, whether the noon or the evening meal, with such combinations as lettuce, celery, spinach, onions, radish and the like. These may be taken with salad dressing or mayonnaise as is best suited to the taste.
26. Do these things and we find we will ELIMINATE the sources of the disturbance, and find self near to a normal reaction.
27. This will also prevent the inclinations for colds through the early spring months - will also eliminate those tendencies for there to be the rheumatic effects and such natures in the system at present.
28. Ready for questions.
