Time of Reading 3:25 to 3:35 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, with suggestions for help and relief of the body; answering the questions that may be submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1826].

3. As we find, while conditions are somewhat easy from the acute conditions which arose, there are conditions of a general nature the correction of which in the present may prevent a greater disturbance later on.

4. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [1826] we are speaking of:

5. The blood supply, as we find, indicates there is a weakness and a tendency in the activity of the gall duct, with the pancreas, for an excess of poisons - through these general conditions in the system.

6. There are also those inclinations for there to be separations, or for lymph pockets to form through the abdominal and throughout the digestive area; owing to disturbances of the nature as has been indicated.

7. These as we find arise primarily from a condition existent in the 9th dorsal and in the upper dorsals - 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th - through the lack of impulse for the activity through those portions of the system.

8. Those inclinations for the nausea, for the swelling in portions of the limbs, all indicate these to be a functional disturbance through the nerve forces and system of the body.

9. As we find, then, these would first be allayed in the present by the deep manipulations osteopathically given; and we would have the Dobbins' way, as these are the express manners here needed for the corrections in the areas indicated - upper dorsal and especially in the 9th dorsal area.

10. Then, later, after the corrections have been made - after there has been sufficient of the reduction of the

disturbance - (for the body would not respond in the same manner if these were given before then) - we would begin the use of Hot and Cold Packs over the abdominal and lower stomach area; especially the liver. These would be given alternately, you see, for a few hours every day - when they are begun - for a few days. In this manner they would be the more effective. or give them at least for an hour and a half to two hours each day, changing them every few minutes - first the hot, the the cold.

11. Each day following the Hot and Cold Packs, or the period of giving these, massage the body over the same area where the Packs have been used, and even more - but be sure to massage across the diaphragm and over the abdominal area, down the area following the flow of the colon, and especially in the caecum area and down on the right AND left side, you see - with an equal combination of olive Oil and Peanut Oil. The absorption of this by the superficial circulation will materially aid in reducing those tendencies for accumulations through the system, especially if the osteopathic corrections are made as indicated.

12. In the matter of the diet, to be sure there should be a liquid and semi-liquid diet - especially through the period of the three or four deep osteopathic manipulations and adjustments.

13. Use milk and milk products - not any greases or fats, but PLENTY of those things that make for the better eliminations through the system.

14. Also, at least three times a week, we would include in the diet the Jerusalem artichoke. This may be taken either raw OR cooked, but it should be a portion of the diet. These properties contained in same will work with the activities of the osteopathic manipulations, as well as the massage and rub, to produce a better coordination between the upper and lower hepatic circulation; eliminating those tendencies for the disturbances in the lower hepatics; also correcting those tendencies in the glandular forces or ducts about the liver and pancreas; and work well with the digestive system. Eat one about the size of a hen egg or the like, about three times each week.

15. Do these and, as we find, we may not only avoid greater disturbances but we will make for better conditions for this body, [1826].

16. Ready for questions.

(See extra sheet [which was enclosed] of directions for the Osteopath who is to have charge of the corrections to be made, during the first portion of the treatment. We would refer you to: Dr. Frank Dobbins, 551 Fifth Ave., New York City, who has had much experience with following out Mr. Cayce's directions. Later, the Hot and Cold Packs may be given by someone in the family, or a nurse. These would only be given AFTER the series of osteopathic treatments had been completed. In case you have trouble locating the Jerusalem artichoke, - it is sold by John A. Salzer Seed Co., LaCrosse, Wisconsin. This type of artichoke is very palatable raw, but when cooked is prepared or boiled as an Irish potato would be. If everything is not clear, we would suggest that you get in touch with Mr. Hugh Lynn Cayce, % Mr. David E. Kahn, 20 Woods Lane, Scarsdale, N.Y. At your convenience we would appreciate a history of this case to the time of obtaining the Reading. Such a record is valuable for our files, so that we may have something with which to compare our information. GD.)
