Time of Reading 3:40 to 4:05 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions she submits, as I ask them.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1830], present in this room.
3. Now as we find, while in the present there are not such great disturbances in the general physical forces, there ARE those inclinations and tendencies that cause or produce great anxieties to the physical functionings of the system at times.
4. And these, as we find in the present, may be corrected; thus alleviating these anxieties and making such corrections as will make for the greater reactions for the better physical conditions of this body.
5. These, then, are the conditions as we find them with this body, [1830] we are speaking of, present in this room:
6. First, in the blood supply - here we find the effects of a disturbance because of the change in the activities of the glandular system, owing to those periods following and with the menopause; also we find disturbances in the gall duct area.
7. This is NOT in the nature of gallstones, but the areas through the gall duct - not the bladder or gall duct bladder but the duct that leads to same - show inclinations for an accumulation - or granular conditions.
8. Hence we have periods when there is a reaction to the nervous system from this combination of conditions, that produces in the nerve supply to the sympathetic and to the cerebrospinal system those periods of restlessness, the inability to get rest of nights - or at times when there should be perfect relaxation there comes more of the anxieties.
9. Again, from these same effects, we have the reactions to
1830-1 Page 2
the functioning of the system - a burning in the pit of the stomach and those inclinations for the lack of proper eliminations.
10. With these same disturbances we find an inclination for the hepatic or lower portion of the hepatic circulation to be affected. Of course, the functioning of the gall duct and liver is a part of the hepatic circulation. But through the kidneys we have those inclinations at times for the scant activity as related to bladder, and others when there is too much - or too OFT is the necessity for the eliminations in this manner.
11. These produce, then, periods when there is the feeling of a tingling in portions of the lower extremities.
12. All of these are not in the form of great disturbances as yet, but the INCLINATIONS are there as has been indicated, that may be eradicated in the present from the system and thus bring better conditions for the body.
13. As to the effect upon the organs of the body as related to the blood stream and the nerve forces of the body:
14. In the throat, bronchi, lungs, larynx - these are very good save the inclinations for the acidity as naturally arise in the system from those disturbances through the areas indicated and the lack of this proper balance in the glandular forces owing to those changes as come about; causing phlegm or an anxiety of mornings or during evening at times through throat and head.
15. This is not to excess, but tends to make for the body more easily taking cold or the like.
16. The digestive forces also show anxieties, and the lack of the proper eliminations through the alimentary canal.
17. The lower limbs at times apparently become numb, or easily do they go to sleep as it were and thus causing some disturbance through the locomotion or activities.
18. The tendencies for the acidity hinder in the locomotory centers, so that at times when the body is attempting to climb steps or to walk a great distance, the shortness of breath comes, of stiffness in the extremities or across the shoulder s or across the hip area. These are the effects of the lack of poisons being eliminated that would purify the blood stream.
19. No ORGANIC conditions, then, but functional and sympathetic in their reactions.
20. In making administration of those things as we find would be the most beneficial for this body at this time:
21. As we find, first we would begin by taking about a teaspoonful of Eno Salt in a glass of water each morning for at least a week. Not an overquantity of this, but about
1830-1 Page 3
that much every morning for a week.
22. During that period, when there is the burning in the stomach after the periods of eating, we would take about a quarter teaspoonful of Alcaroid; first dissolved in a little water and then a full glass of water added before taking. This would be taken about fifteen to twenty minutes after the meal whenever the burning occurs.
23. Keep these in this manner for a week. Then leave these off for about five days.
24. Then begin with one drop of Atomidine in half a glass of water before any meal is taken of a morning. This is to purify the glandular system and aid in producing better coordination throughout the activities of the whole of the glandular force, setting in order as it were the eliminating forces as related to the activities of the organs of the system that are changing in their activity. Take this in this manner for a week, then leave off.
25. After three days following the taking of the Atomidine for a week, you see, begin again with the Eno Salt - that will make for the greater change in the body. Take this again for four or five days, you see; the Eno Salt.
26. Then follow same with - after the four or five days, you see - taking the Zilatone; one tablet after the noon meal, two tablets after the evening meal - about thirty minutes after the meal, you see. Drink at least a glass and a half of water taking these.
27. The next morning (after the Zilatone is taken in the evening, you see), before arising take at least TWO teaspoonsful of the Eno Salt, so that there may be a flushing of the gall duct by the activity of the properties in the Zilatone as combined with its activities upon the gall duct and the liver area itself. Preferably when this last dose is taken, following the Zilatone, lie upon the right side with a pillow under the liver and gall duct area, so as to force the drainage of same. Rest during the period this is taken, you see.
28. Then, as to the diet throughout: While these restrictions should not be so severe, we would not take any of fried foods.
29. Do not combine milk or cereals with citrus fruit juices at the same meal.
30. Do not take raw apples or bananas, but most other fruits take rather in abundance.
31. Have at least one meal each day consist principally - not necessarily all of same, but the principal part of same - of raw vegetables; as lettuce, celery, spinach, tomatos, radish, onions, cabbage, or any of these - or all of them;
1830-1 Page 4
just as the taste is for such. These may be taken with the oil or mayonnaise dressing, dependent upon the taste.
32. Throughout the periods, when there is the catch or the heaviness across the small of the back, massage same with an equal combination of Mutton Suet (melted), Turpentine and Camphor; and put a hot pack of flannel over same when this is applied. This would preferably be done in the evenings, when ready to retire.
33. And if the body will do these, following these suggestions, we will find those little catches will be removed; also those little disturbances when the body gets so restless, and the activities in attempting to walk or climb steps will be much more elastic and there will be a much better reaction for the system.
34. Ready for questions.
35. (Q) Should the Zilatone be taken just the one day? (A) If the other suggestions are followed in the manner as indicated for this body, this should be sufficient to flush the gall duct. If there is the recurrence of this, then have those periods of the Eno Salt - not Epsom, not Rochelle, but the Eno Salt - which is a fruit salts, you see; and then repeat the Zilatone; following same, of course, by the flushing again.
36. (Q) Has the body gallstones? (A) As indciated, NOT gallstones. There is a sediment in the DUCT, see?
37. (Q) The bile doesn't flow. (A) That's the reason! That's why it doesn't!
38. (Q) Is there any cure for it? (A) If you will do just what we have given here, we WILL reduce these disturbances!
39. (Q) Was this caused from an operation, or from the change of life? (A) As we have indicated, it may be termed a combination of causes; but these conditions have not reached such proportions that there is a great disturbance that cannot be eliminated - if the diet will be followed AND the activities taken as we have outlined. A combination of causes has prevented a great flow, or the proper flow of the gall duct - or gall bladder. Do these things, consistently, persistently; and we will find we WILL ELIMINATE this disturbance.
40. We are through for the present. [See 1830-1, Par. R1.]
