Time of Reading 3:40 to 3:50 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.
1. GC: You will have before you the body and enquiring mind of [1832], ... St., New York City, who seeks information, advice and guidance as to the best procedure to extricate himself from his present business difficulties, as explained in his letter a copy of which I hold in my hand.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body, the enquiring mind, [1832]; and those conditions and circumstances which surround the body, regarding the financial conditions.
3. As we find, many things are to be taken into consideration in giving advice and counsel regarding such conditions.
4. Owing to circumstances and conditions respecting those conditions which arise from the propaganda and the like, we find that there has been an undoing - in a manner - of the body's efforts.
5. Yet if there will be given sufficient time we find that these may be worked out to a satisfactory conclusion.
6. Or if the body will work with Schieffelin and Company, which would be well for the body to contact THROUGH someone acquainted with or directly in contact with the expansion activity of such an organization, the body may make such connections as to make satisfactory outlet for the abilities of the entity in relationships to those efforts which have been put forth.
7. This may require some time, for the body to become so arranged in the associations as to again reproduce or carry on those phases of its activity.
8. Or there may be the appealing to the body's or entity's OWN people; that is, the own outlets through which the body has enjoyed associations in its activities for the distribution of the manufactured products - but in a way or manner in which there would be rather an enlargement of of the organization that has acted in the capacity for the distribution.
9. Either of these manners, as we find, would offer to the

entity - under the circumstances - the best opportunities for extricating self from the present difficulties.
10. (Q) Through whom should he go to contact Schieffelin? (A) The sales force, or the manager of the sales and distributing forces of the organization.
11. (Q) Is there some friend through whom this approach should be made? (A) Best that the entity go to the organization and make the inquiry, and make the direct contact himself.
12. (Q) Just what should he seek through Schieffelin to do? (A) A job!
13. (Q) What through the other channels mentioned? (A) Finances to carry on the organized work. These are the opportunities as we find for this body.
