1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth's plane, giving time, place and the name, and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the present entity; giving the abilities of the present entity and that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions she has submitted, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the records here of that entity now known as or called [1833].
3. What a variation in the experiences of the entity!
4. When these records are viewed, we find these as latent and manifested influences in the experience - but irrespective of what the entity has done about same, or as to what has been the ideal of the entity through this individual experience thus far:
5. One oft finding self in a manner hedged about by difficulties, and disappointments of practically EVERY sort or nature; and yet a determination to carry on.
6. One gifted in artistic things. As to whether these might find expression in music, in writing, in decorations, - whether it be of china or walls - whether it be of pastel shades or of a more futuristic character - all of these are as moods or modes to the entity at various times.
7. DEEP color; very emotional - and the dramatic oft appears in the activity and the emotional self.
8. These, apparently, are partially from the experiences in the present some of the influences that have hindered. Others view the activities as being TOO emotional, or not enough in another direction, or too dramatic or too easily absorbed by the very ideas and ideals of others - and yet very strong within its own determinations.
9. Gifted in those things pertaining to the mysteries, or
1833-1 Page 2
the occult and the psychic forces - yet these have to be to the entity proven, rather than merely hearsay.
10. As this would indicate - a many-sided individual in its EMOTIONAL and in its mental life.
11. In giving the interpretation of the records as we find them here, these are chosen with the desire to make such information a helpful experience - that is, this knowing or experiencing through the emotional self the validity of that as may be indicated.
12. And thus these are chosen not so much at random, as would be the inclination to do; for there are many OUTSTANDING influences; but rather to make same in a consistent manner, as may be applied in a practical manner for the entity's rounding or developing in a more peaceful and harmonious manner in the present experience.
13. From the astrological - these we find not in keeping with that which might be indicated wholly by the astrological aspects, but more upon the experiences of the sojourns of the entity in the environs represented by astrological phases - as in Venus oft.
14. Hence the various forms of beauty, the various activities in music or in composition or in abilities to write, the abilities to narrate, or the abilities to speak. These in their varied forms appear as influences in the activity of the entity.
15. In these we find also those abilities for the friendships, and for the not understanding always those relationships in friends and in activities with those in whom the entity has put its trust, or upon whom it has relied for the supplying of emotional influences in the experience, or the material influences.
16. These come from an often sojourn in that environ.
17. On the other hand, Uranus makes for the EXTREMES to which the entity seems to be cast, not by its OWN activity at times - and at others blaming itself and blaming others.
18. All of these become a part of the astrological aspects; as also Jupiter and Saturn.
19. Hence the changes, and yet the necessary influence of the public opinion upon activities of the entity. Hence relationships to groups and masses become a portion of the entity's application.
20. As to the sojourns in the earth - these we find quite varied - and very far apart in their application. Hence there becomes more of the need for the spiritual aspects than would be ordinarily considered in an astrological application of the influences in the experience of THIS entity.
1833-1 Page 3
21. Before this, then, we find the entity was in the land of the present sojourn, yet still farther eastward - or in the Salem activities in those early experiences when there were the beginnings of decorations of homes, the beginnings of activities when there were those influences brought to bear concerning what would be termed the mysterious influences in peoples' activity.
22. There were those two confusing forces, and the entity then was in what might be said to be the midst of these, - acting as the leader of the music in the church where such influences were questioned by those peoples of the day.
23. Hence it was an influence that brought many disturbing forces, many inabilities to judge correctly - or rather the tendencies to question the activities of individuals because of their social or political or other activities in the relationships to the masses.
24. The name then was Alyce Crummet, and it may be said that the entity gained spiritually; yet NOT a success socially or materially - though not wanting in the material needs of the period.
25. Thus in the present, from that sojourn, we have the very confusing forces as related to many activities; and yet abilities in music, abilities in the dramatic depicting of things as would pertain to the occult or psychic arises as a part of the entity's experience.
26. And if the entity will apply self in these directions in the present, we may find the greater abilities, the greater influences giving expression to those activities of the entity - IF the purposes and desires are set in that sincerity of purpose which is so innately a part of this entity's first desire, as it may be said - for facts, not fancies; though the facts may be depicted dramatically enough.
27. Before that we find the entity was in the Promised Land, during those periods when the Master walked in the earth - and especially during those activities of the Apostles or disciples as related to the activities in Caesarea, when there were those questionings of those who became members and active in the church.
28. The entity was young in years during the periods of the Master's sojourn, and was in the groups or crowds when there were those gatherings in the latter period of His sojourn in the material plane.
29. Hence the entity was acquainted with the activities of the arrest, the trial, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection; also acquainted with the activities of Simon, the sorcerer, or Simon Magus.
1833-1 Page 4
30. There we find the entity was closely associated especially with that entity or body whom Simon used as one through whom information might come.
31. And there we find the entity was drawn between two confusing influences - the material things and those spiritual imports as were expressed by the teachers in that particular day.
32. Yet we find the entity gained throughout.
33. Then the name was Cecelia. In the present from that sojourn we find the abilities to write, especially as pertaining to home and the influences that color or harmony or foods would have upon the relationships of the MEMBERS of such a home.
34. FROM that experience, the entity in the present has the innate desires for home and yet FINDS self constantly relying upon those forces that have little to do with home environs - yet OF such may the entity write in such a manner as to make some very valuable in the experiences of others, as well as giving an outlet for self and finding IN the outlet material and mental satisfaction.
35. AGAIN, temper same with the spiritual imports of color upon individuals' lives.
36. Before that we find the entity was in the Egyptian land, during those periods of reconstruction after the turning to the activities of the Priest who returned, and the Atlanteans.
37. The entity then was active in that called the Temple Beautiful, especially as to the variation in the colors at the various posts to which candidates were taken who were in preparation, as ye would say, in schools for definite service or activity.
38. There we find the entity was in the name Ma-Elda.
39. In the experience the entity found great joy, peace and harmony through the color harmony as pertained to musical abilities as well as the abilities to give to those who were in the preparations those activities which, so enacted in their lives, might bring greater influence and force upon the minds of those whom the entities taught.
40. Hence as we will find in the present - in making application of the abilities, -
41. First, analyze self and that which has been and is the innate influence for TRUTH - judged not only by material and mental standards but by the purposes for which each soul, each entity enters a material experience.
42. Hence the spiritual import in the life of each and every entity should be stressed.
43. Then in writing or in decorating, or in writing upon
1833-1 Page 5
decorating, as would pertain to the home and the like, the entity may - in the writing OR speaking - find the greater outlet for self, and IN self attain to the greater harmony in this experience.
44. Ready for questions.
45. (Q) Why do I meet with frustration in any enterprise (where my own interests are concerned), whether financial, relationships with people, or outlets for self-expression? (A) As has been indicated, owing to those very influences and forces - and the needs then that this determination, and this will, be first analyzed and find the spiritual import of self. And then the activities in the mental and material become rather the RESULT, and not the first purpose of the entity's activity or service.
46. (Q) Is writing my best means of expressing latent possibilities? (A) Provided it is directed in the channels as indicated, where there may be the use of the dramatic ability OF the entity - but the TRUTH dramatized and not fiction.
47. (Q) What name should I use to sign any writing? (A) Either the first appearance or the second or third. Any of those as so desired.
48. (Q) Have I written anything that is worth attempting to publish? (A) First analyze self, and then criticize that as has been written. Then changes will come then of themselves, sufficient for much to be used that has already been attempted.
49. (Q) What form of writing would you suggest? (A) Any of that which may be used as the directing of the influence in the lives of others, whether in the form of the story or book.
50. (Q) How do you suggest my going about accomplishing this purpose? (A) As just indicated, first the analysis of self.
51. (Q) What is the meaning of so many diversified interests which makes me seek knowledge in so many fields? (A) As has been indicated and directed.
52. (Q) Am I utilizing my innate resources to the best advantage? If not, will you direct me? (A) As we have indicated, these have NOT been crystalized into as much of the spiritual portion as they should. And if this is done, we will find greater outlets for the abilities and the faculties; for the virtues and for the correcting of the faults within the relationships of the entity, owing to the diverse and varied forces that have been a part of the experience. For, know that in spiritual things it is ever the same.
1833-1 Page 6
53. (Q) What approach should be made to my husband [[2046], M.D.] to clarify his understanding of spiritual and psychic truths? (A) Live it first in self, and let THAT be the answer rather than trying to bring the lesson home by word or other than just living it!
54. (Q) Is there any way I can be of service to him in the direction of his life? Or is the apparent confusion in his mind something that I can help correct? (A) Not so much by talking, but LIVING the truths - as indicated - is the only or BEST manner.
55. (Q) Why is there a seeming barrier between us? (A) Those influences as brought thee together have made and do make for the NEEDS of a closer spiritual understanding.
56. (Q) How can I direct my children for the best interests of their future? (A) Analyze their purposes. Give not the "Don't's" but the "Do's!"
57. (Q) Can I be of any service in public life in the present world chaos? (A) In the writing - it will bring a great influence if it is directed to the home and harmony therein.
