1. GC: You will give the relation of this entity and the universe, and the universal forces; giving the conditions which are as personalities, latent and exhibited in the present life; also the former appearances in the earth plane, giving time, place and the name; and that in each life which built or retarded the development for the entity; giving the abilities of the present entity and that to which it may attain, and how. You will answer the questions which she submits, as I ask them:
2. EC: (In going back over years from present " - '37 - periods of reconstruction - '35 - somewhat of a change - '25 - periods of affluence - '21 - '19 - change in the activities - '15 - " etc., on back to birth date.)
3. [1862] - Yes, that's not the only time it's changed [GD's note: Her name had been changed several times apparently, or the spelling, to jibe numerologically.] - [1862] we have the records here of that entity now called [1862].
4. In giving the interpretations of the records as we find them here regarding this entity - while these are not all that might be interpreted, these are chosen with the desire and the purpose to make the experience a helpful one, if the entity will but apply those influences that tend to make for an increasing of the abilities in the spiritual aspects.
5. For, each soul enters materiality with a purposefulness. And it is according to the application of self in those activities that would magnify the virtues, minimize the faults in self as well as in others, and make application of creative influences and forces, that makes for the growths or retardments in any material experience.
6. There have been all characters of experience through the activities of the entity - those in the material as well as in the mental, as well as in the spiritual, that have brought discouragements, as well as periods of affluence.
7. Only when there is the full application of self in any
1862-1 Page 2
phase or activity in which the creative influences or the ideals are manifested, does there come peace.
8. When there is the application rather for self-indulgence, self-aggrandizement, or only for material gains, then it eventually brings distortion, disturbance and distress, - even into the material and the mental and the spiritual aspects of an entity.
9. Hence as we find from the astrological aspects - the entity comes under those periods when there are changes. Hence two influences, as it were, are ever a part of the entity's experience - it is torn between that which is a purpose for the self and that which is duty or its ideal.
10. These are constant influences through not only Venus but the Uranian aspects in the experience of the entity.
11. Hence the extremes, as well as the disturbing forces, become a part of the experience.
12. Those things in the beauty of activity, those things as in harmony, as of rhythm - whether it be in music, song or the play, or dancing, or activities in which there comes only the beautiful for its influence in the experience and lives of others - all of these are a part of the entity's experience.
13. Yet those things of the vile nature - yea, those that are of laudation, those that are of mediocre, those as of the marital, the social, the economic - all become disturbing influences at one period or another; depending upon the application of self towards the creative forces or spiritual activities, as to whether such become retarding or developing.
14. As to the appearances of the entity in the earth, - these become quite varied in their aspects; yet leaving very definite urges innately; and depending upon the application of self as to whether these become materialized in the experience.
15. Before this we find the entity was in the Grecian experiences when there were those activities in which there was the beginning of the use of activities of the dance, the acrobatic dancing, or those things that would depict emotions in the experiences of others - as well as in the drama. All of these were a part of the entity's experience, as Celia; associated in the Grecian as well as the Roman activities.
16. Hence all of these influences become a part of the activities in the present, manifestedly or innately. The abilities as a speaker, or for the saying of lines, as well as for an appreciation of position, of power, as well as the abilities to influence or direct others in their activities
1862-1 Page 3
and associations, become a part of the entity's experience.
17. Before that we find the entity was in the Persian or Chaldean land, during those periods when there were the individual activities in the courts of the king during the sojourn of the children of promise in the land.
18. From those the entity gained much, and yet there grew some antagonism in those associations because of individual activities, especially in relationships to the moral and religious experiences during that sojourn.
19. In the present there will be found, in the associations with individuals of these groups or characters, there will come both good and bad influences - dependent upon the manner of the entity's associations or activities in relationships to contracts or activities in relationships that become personal in their activity.
20. These as we find must ever, then, in the material relations, be governed by that which is the ideal for the creative or for the applying of that which is helpful in the continuation of activities; not merely mental or material but spiritual. These must be growths.
21. The name then was Sulun.
22. Before that we find the entity was in the Egyptian land during those periods of activity in which there was the stressing in the experience of those who would become active in the various forms of endeavor - the needs of the passing through the Temple of Sacrifice.
23. There we find the entity was an instructor in the directions which individuals would take.
24. Hence in the experience in the present there may be those periods in which it may act rather as the interpreter of, or as a critic of the dance, or those activities in the manner or way of expression, or those influences that make for the material development. All of these become a part of the entity's experience. As to what is done ABOUT same in relationships to spiritual or creative forces makes for either retardment or advancement.
25. Not only the spiritual, but know that the basis of all ye do, ye say, must be prompted by the ideal - not merely to get ahead, not to get advantage of another, but rather know that the material things are the result of a life of service and of activity towards others.
26. Before that we find the entity was in the Atlantean land, during those periods when there were destructive forces being applied by the children of Belial and in opposition to the Law of One.
27. There we find the entity was among the priestesses of that particular period, yet consorting with the children of
1862-1 Page 4
Belial. For, the aggrandizing of self, the laudations for the pleasures of the activities, brought disturbing forces.
28. The name then was Clouis.
29. As to the abilities of the entity in the present, then, and that to which it may attain, and how:
30. First, analyze thyself, thy purposes, thy aims, thy desires. Have ye an ideal that is of a spiritual nature? Or is thy ideal only one that passeth away, being only in the material?
31. Know that only that which is good and sincere, and purposeful for Creative Force, lives on. Not that which is beautiful only for the gratifying of an emotion of self, or of those influences in thy activity that passeth away - for the ashes and the husks thereof are indeed bitter.
32. Study then to show thyself approved unto thy Maker and ideal; studying to show thyself approved to thy spiritual ideal; rightly dividing the words of truth, keeping self in all good conscience.
33. In the field of critic of the dance, of a play - in the abilities of writing as well as in dancing or singing, these may be a part of the experience, and give fields of service through which real expression, real self may be developed.
34. Ready for questions.
35. (Q) Advise me as to my marriage and association with the entity known as [...]. (A) This must be determined within self: Was thy purpose in the beginning as in the present? Or have ye lost that which ye have given? Or have ye sought for that to satisfy self? Apply that which has been indicated in this association, "Study to show thyself approved unto GOD!" If this relationship has been or is such that it separates thee from thy better self, then change it.
36. (Q) I want to know how I may detach myself (emotionally, in God's wisdom) from this sad association; how I may assist my husband's development. (A) In that of a loving indifference.
37. (Q) Is divorce desirable, per se: in the abstract - in this impasse we have so long been in? (A) That must be chosen, as indicated, in that just given.
38. (Q) What can end this seemingly "sinister" force around and about me in my marriage? (A) Only the studying to show thyself approved in all good conscience to the Creative Forces and God.
39. (Q) Is remarriage desirable for my further development? (A) This, again, must be chosen by self. If it is for a mutual helpfulness, well. If it is for material security,
1862-1 Page 5
no. If it is that self may be of the greater service, well. If it is that there may be the greater channel for the exemplifying of thy ideal in every way and manner, it is well. But study thine own self. Be true to thine own self, and ye will not be false to others. See the beauty and the good in thine own self. See the beauty and good as in thy worst enemy. For until ye begin to see thyself as others see thee, ye have not begun to practice love, charity nor virtue.
