1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for the further improvement of same, and you will answer any questions regarding this body, or the treatment for same, that I will ask you.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here. We have had this before, you see.
3. Now, we find there are changes in the physical conditions of this body at the present time from that as we have had here before. Many of these conditions are for the betterment of the body. Many of the conditions are at that state or condition where, unless they are taken advantage of, they may bring about conditions that will prove detrimental and aggravating to the condition to be met in this body.
4. Now, these conditions, to be understood, and as to how these are to be met, will of necessity understand that as is taking place in the body, and in the physical conditions of the body, to go about to meet them in the proper way and manner.
5. In the lungs proper, this we find much improved. The conditions as are being eliminated through the excretory forces of the system, carried in the blood supply, this being of a deficient nature and at low resistance, finds in the liver and in the eliminating centers from same, especially through the emunctory circulation, there are hindrances in the activity of this organ, produced by weakness, produced by the tendency of the body to eliminate slowly and below normal to increase the acidity as is caused in the lower intestinal digestion, see?
6. Now, the conditions as we see exist in a body are as these:
7. In an alkaline state first, in the first processes of digestion, entering into that of the stomach, there as it were, prepared by and through and with the various secretions as are exhumed from the walls of the intestine,
1866-4 Page 2
of the duodenum and of the stomach proper, changing into that of an acid force, with a hydrochloric state, in the lower end, entering (or should enter) in the intestine to be assimilated, or to produce assimilation from foods taken in that lacteal state, or that less acid than in the action in the stomach. Now, with this increased acidity, we find the increased amount of acidity in the stomach produces in the smaller portion of the stomach, or the pyloric end, that same condition wherein the circulation, through the lactics, through the secretions, produce then in the circulation (lymphatics), to the mouth, to the throat, with those same inhalations and exhalations from the lung mingled with same, produce detrimental conditions in the soft palate in the throat, in this portion of the body, see? Through these conditions, as a combination, producing, or BRINGING then, this condition as exists at times. Better right at the present time, see? in the mouth, throat, palate and that portion of the mouth. The condition then as exists from this brings distress to the circulation as is effected here through the hypogastric and pneumogastric plexus, in the right side of the body, near the lacteal ducts, see? lacteal ducts, that which takes in from this assimilation the new supply of material for the rebuilding in the system. As this plexus becomes involved, we find the sympathetic plexus then through the pneumogastric becomes involved in same, producing this contraction at times or the lower end of the stomach, affecting then DIRECTLY those nerves as supply the blood force to the UPPER portion of the body, in and through the nerve center of the sensory organism, or organs of the sensory system. Hence the condition as is produced to the ear, to the eye, and the head - the pains as come through this, aggravating then, with the high nerve tension as is seen in the system, all of the nerves of the sympathetic nerve system. from the waist up, see? plexus of the 7th and 8th dorsal. This still producing an aggravation to the upper portion of the body. With this over stimulation, the greater blood supply, then, flows from the body (exterior, of course, speaking of), and lymphatic circulation from the diaphragm upward. Then we have a cold hepatic, or a subnormal hepatic. Tendency to produce, then, a slowness in the action of the digestion and elimination BELOW the diaphragm line, and below the plexus of the hypogastric and pneumogastric. This causing the tendency of those conditions, that should be eliminated through the regular dross, to lie in the system, or the tendency to produce slowness in its activity, and while we may flush the mesenteric system with properties as produce elimination,
1866-4 Page 3
the INCENTIVE OF the system is to be laggard in its normal action, and the exciting of the mesenteric system, or to overcome the tendency of the constipation as is produced is merely the exciting the mucus lining of this portion of the system, without reaching the seat or the cause of the trouble in this portion of the body. This whole combination, then, as we see, is the greater condition as is to be met and dealt with at the present time, that the conditions as have begun to be eliminated from the lungs, overcharging the liver, the kidneys, and the whole lower portion of the body, or to PREVENT, in other words, a dissemination of the germ that has caused trouble in the lung from finding lodgement, by the exciting of same, throughout other portions of the system that are not functioning normally, and cause their dissemination and taking up lodgement in other portions of the system, these conditions must be met, that the system may be made NORMAL, or normal incentive of functioning throughout.
8. Then, to meet these conditions at the present time, these are, as we find, those conditions to be met, for this must be brought, as we see then, to a more normal equilibrium of elimination in system, and at the SAME time keep the system in the way of continual elimination from the lungs of the tissue that has shown the excitement, or the throwing off and the encasement of tubercular forces, and of the system being able to, at the same time, build in blood supply that necessary to meet the needs of the condition hindered in lymphatic circulation, in blood supply, and in rebuilding nerve energy.
9. Then, we would keep those inhalations as have been given for the lungs, and that stimulation as will be found in the inhalation of the apply brandy will also so stimulate that plexus through the nerve reaction in the portion of the body necessary to prevent this condition from becoming effective to the kidneys in the elimination below the diaphragm. This is as necessary as to meeting the condition in the stomach and in the liver.
10. Then, we would begin with those properties for the system, taken internally, that will prevent the lactic fluids from returning to the lower end of the stomach in this acid state; taking, then, small quantities (under the direction of the physician, as is necessary for the condition, for this must be varied from time to time) of Magnesia with oil, see? that is, there is the preparation for the Milk of Magnesia with oil - Petrolagar. This (the non-acid) taken in system will so overcome this condition, as it were, as to sweeten, as would be commonly called, the
1866-4 Page 4
condition in the stomach, and allow the liver to come nearer to a normal functioning.
11. Apply with this vibrations of the electronic nature, as will be found in the Alpine Ray, to the body, especially about that plexus in the cerebrospinal, wherein the excretory functioning of the liver is centered, near the 8th - 9th dorsal, see? this as direct - as secondary in the 6th and 7th dorsal, and also in the 4th and 5th segment. These, as we see, should bring the relief for the body under the present conditions. This vibration as is set by the application of this vibratory force of the electronic nature will also stimulate, as we see, these centers as govern this reflex to the sensory system, relieving this stress and strain to the eye, to the ear, to the throat. With this changing there comes then these better conditions for the body.
12. The diet should be kept in that way and manner as has been outlined, under the direction of the dietician, to meet the needs of the body as the changes come from time to time. Meats - the juices of same, rather than the flesh. Much of that of the beef juices would be well, just as much as the body is able to assimilate, see? Not the meats, whatever. Broths of every character that carry the assimilation properties for blood and nerve building. Much green vegetables - seasonable vegetables, for the body, as will be assimilated.
13. For the conditions as are apparent in the mouth, in the eyes: The eyes - we would adjust the glasses again, though we will find this should be kept close "tab" on, as it were, for we will find the eyes will improve, and there will be less strain with these changes in the system. Those in the mouth - a weak solution of salt water gargled, or rinse the mouth with same, will be effective, as is also any other saline, or any other condition for this, just so that we do not produce an acid condition to be combated with. Ready for questions.
14. (Q) Would any external application applied over the lungs be beneficial? (A) No. The lungs are very good, you see. We only need to keep the condition being eliminated, and to rebuild and meet these other conditions as are apparent in the kidneys, the stomach, and in the lower portion of the body. The main condition that is to be met is that as is seen of the eliminations in the lower portion of the body. The Petrolagar of that nature. As is seen, there we have an acid - there we have an alkaline, and that as is seen of the alkaline, or the non-acid, is that nature that should be
1866-4 Page 5
taken.
15. (Q) Any specific dose of the Petrolagar that should be taken to meet the conditions? (A) These will be met with the conditions as they arise, see? because this will be changed. Tablespoonful three to four times each day to begin with, see?
16. That is all the questions.
17. We are through for the present.
