Time of Reading Set bet. 10:30 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern War Time. Chicago, Ill.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1895].

3. As we find, there have been some permanent injuries to the body by the character of the operation on the coccyx end of the spine, as is seen and should be noted, and yet such a difference in opinion, that the brush end of the cerebrospinal nerve extends into the coccyx area of the spine where same has been, or some three segments, removed.

4. This has made for short-circuiting, as it were, of reflexes. Hence the body finds that if there can be a complete entertaining of the sympathetic nervous system, through entertainment or suggestion, there is not a great deal of pain, but when there is the lack of such reactions (for instance, early of mornings, during the evenings, or if the body awakens in the night), it becomes restless, nervous, with irritations through the whole of the area of the spine and then, added to this, the complications arising from the change in the chemical reactions, and those tendencies for the crystallization in the nerve tendons of an arthritic nature. As these become inflamed at times, the body is in great pain.

5. As we find, if there would be the osteopathic adjustments for the areas through the lumbar and sacrals and coordinating the 9th dorsal, through the brachial area, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th dorsal and the 3rd cervical to the 1st cervical, relaxing, not stimulating but relaxing, we will make better coordination with the sympathetic nervous system and the cerebrospinal and there will be bettered conditions for the body.

6. We would take first small doses of Atomidine for five days. Take each day (of morning before breakfast), one drop. On the sixth day, take five drops.

7. Then have an Epsom Salts Bath. This would be about twenty pounds of Epsom Salts to forty gallons of water. This the body should remain in for at least thirty minutes, and have a massage during the whole period of the body is in the bath. The limbs, the hands, the elbows, the shoulder, along the spine, all of these should be kept massaged well during this period that this hot bath is being taken.

8. Then we would cut down on the kind of salt which is being taken. In the food and the preparation use only kelp salt or health salt made from kelp or from the deep sea salt. These are calcium deposits which are causing the disturbances in the tendons and nerves.

9. Do follow each one of the baths especially, though we would have a bit of this at least twice or three times a week with a massage using Peanut Oil and Olive Oil - equal portions. This we would begin, say at the tip of the toes, through the bursae of feet, along the sciatic center, the knees, across the hips, the whole area of thigh, across diaphragm area, tips of fingers to the shoulder and then the neck, body. This will aid in eliminations.

10. Do increase the quantity of raw vegetables taken. Do decrease any red meats. Fish, fowl and lamb we would take but none of any heavy foods, none of these fried.

11. Do these and be consistent and persistent.

12. We would have at least sixteen of the osteopathic treatments.

13. We would have at least six of the Epsom Salts Baths, but these should be at least a month to six weeks apart, each preceded by the Atomidine series.

14. Ready for questions.

15. (Q) What should be done about the hardness of hearing? (A) As the corrections are made for the massages, the areas especially around head and neck should be massaged with the oil, see? This should extend along to the area of the upper dorsal.
