At home, in front Time of Reading ... School House, 11:10 to 11:30 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Ky.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions which may be submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1899].

3. Now as we find, the conditions and the inroads of the infectious forces have advanced to where there is the breaking up of the activity between even the liver and the kidneys.

4. Yet, as we find, there may be those additions to the applications for the body wherein we may bring a great deal better condition; and, if there is a consistent and a persistent adherence to suggestions, we may eventually almost eliminate the disturbing conditions.

5. But with the greater opportunity, there must be the use of the self, the life, the activities, for a constructive and a helpful and hopeful experience - if this would not prove eventually more harmful than helpful.

6. For there must be considered in the life, in the experience of this entity, more of a godliness, more of a righteousness. Not because of fear, but for love - because of that love which has been and is shown in the Father through the Son to the children of men.

7. In considering the physical conditions, then, and their applications, let's not forget the warnings which have just been given - and they must be a part of the application. For it is in faith and in desire to be of a constructive and of a helpful experience that the real help may come.

8. In the blood supply there are the indications of how little there is the proper purification of the blood stream in the lungs, owing to the involvement there. And it is this attempt of the system through the other eliminating channels to rid the system of the poisons that is tending to

1899-1 Page 2

break down those activities and resistances for the body through the liver and the kidney and the whole hepatic circulation; thus not only weakening the resistances of the body but hindering in the manner of the proper assimilation of that which is taken in the body for the resuscitating influences and forces for helpfulness for the body itself.

9. Hence in all natures of the foods, as well as the activity, precautions should be taken against taking cold, as to the character of the foods that are to be taken, as well as the administration for the helpful forces. All of these must be taken into consideration.

10. Those weaknesses to the system, we will find, will be materially aided within a little while, if there is the application of these things as we suggest here. That is, within ten days to two weeks we may see a great deal of change, PROVIDED the food values are taken in the proportionate way and manner so as to not overtax the system, but that the system may - with the little resistance it has - gradually build that which will enable the destructive forces to be overcome that are existent in the vital organs of the body itself, as well as build better assimilation, better elimination, better resistances, and the allaying of the inroads of the infectious forces through lungs, blood, and the whole of the body forces.

11. Begin then first with these:

12. Prepare at least a two gallon keg, preferably oak, charred inside. Into this put at least a gallon or gallon and a half of Pure Apple Brandy. The keg is to be prepared so that after the Brandy is put in same it is to set up on end, and into the upper end of the keg is put a tube, or a metal tube - not larger than a quarter of an inch - that is, the opening in same - so that a rubber tube may be put over this. But this would be so arranged that it could be kept tightly corked. Then a small gimlet hole would be put in the other side - that is, on the same top end of the keg, but other edge of the head of the keg now sitting up, see? This must also be kept tightly corked, with an oak splinter or peg. Then when this is to be used, remove both corks or pegs and inhale the fumes that are caused by the evaporation from the Brandy. This is not to be drunk, you see - only the fumes are to be inhaled into the lungs, - through the throat, of course. Not too much at once, but two or three times a day. The openings are to be kept tightly corked except when in use. Keep the keg close to some place where evaporation may take place, or fumes or gas may form by the evaporation in the upper portion of the keg, - that is, in a warm place.

The fumes would be inhaled in the mouth, throat and lungs, two three, four times a day; three, four, five whiffs at a time. This will act as a purifier, it will aid in allaying the attempts for cough or for expectoration, and also aid in reducing the temperatures which arise.

13. At least twice each day we would take half a glass of raw milk in which there would be stirred half a teaspoonful of Acigest. This would be put in and stirred, and allowed to stand for a minute or a little bit more. It is better if the milk is still warm from the animal heat. Not that the milk is not to be kept, if this is not practical, but arrange to have this night and morning when it is fresh from the cow - half a glass, half a teaspoonful of Acigest. This is to be take care of the disturbing conditions, adding sufficient of the acids to the system through the digestive forces of the body in such a way as to cause the foods to be better assimilated, and to act with the conditions that are being disturbed by the inroads of the tubercle itself upon the organs of the assimilating and eliminating system.

14. Also at least once each day we would have the activities of those properties known as Calcios, that may be spread on a little wafer - about as much as a patter of butter.

15. Then the rest of the foods - take as much beef juice in small quantities as the body may assimilate, but do not attempt to take more than a teaspoonful at a time, or more than a tablespoonful during a day - for the first two or three weeks. But take at least three minutes in taking even a teaspoonful. Hence it is to be SIPPED, not gulped; so that it, the liquid itself, the beef juice may be easily assimilated through being mixed well with the fluids of the mouth before being swallowed. We do not mean beef extract, nor beef soup, but BEEF JUICE! This is to be made from the lean beef, preferably the neck of the cow - or the rump. This is the type of meat to be used to make the juice. More strength will be found in same.

16. No fried foods at any time!

17. Broiled chicken, or chicken soup, would be very well to be taken.

18. Also lentils, okra, tomatoes in moderation - not large quantities of these, would be well for the body. For this body, we find that the CANNED tomatoes would be better than the fresh, unless allowed to ripen thoroughly on the vine and not ripened after being pulled.

19. Especially okra is beneficial. If this is taken as part of a meal each day it would be most satisfactory, for the activities from this will aid in the digestive forces of the

1899-1 Page 4

system.

20. Have calves' liver once or twice a week - this broiled.

21. Do not eat too much of the white breads. Preferably use the whole wheat, corn bread or the like - these are much preferable. The corn bread - make it egg bread, or johnnycake - but baked, NOT fried - or it may be steamed, as with the egg, in what is known as spoon bread.

22. Once a day, preferably in the afternoon, a raw egg yolk with about a teaspoonful of whiskey added to cook same, and then stirred in a glass of raw fresh milk, would be very well. But DO NOT take milk from a cow that has not been tested for tuberculosis! for this would only add those conditions that would be hard to combat.

23. Do these, and keep these up.

24. Keep in the open, NIGHT AND DAY if practical, but never with a great deal of draft or with the wind blowing on the body.

25. Keep warm - that is, do not get chilled, or let any part of the body get cold.

26. Do not get the body wet or damp from exposure or the like.

27. Do all of these, and then in six to eight weeks we would give further instructions.

28. Ready for questions.

29. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See illustrated drawing [which was enclosed] of Charred Oak Keg prepared for use with Apple Brandy. See directions [which were enclosed] for preparing Pure Beef Juice. The Acigest AND the Calcios are manufactured and distributed by Dr. A. A. Nichoson, Colloidal Health Products Corp., Greenvale, Long Island, N.Y. The Acigest sells for $1.00 a bottle, and the Calcios - a syrupy paste containing free calcium easily assimilated - sells for $2.50 a jar. See application [which was enclosed] to be returned if you wish to be put on the Association prayer group list, for renewed strength and health. When you have followed all of these suggestions for six weeks, let us know so we may make an appointment for your Check Physical Reading in time to give further suggestions.)
