1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, with suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions she has submitted, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1935].
3. Now as we find, there are disturbing conditions which prevent the better normal physical reaction. These as we find arise primarily from nerve suppression.
4. Thus there is produced through the system a variation of disturbances that apparently would have little to do one with the other - as the abrasions over portions of the body, the conditions with the eyes - or the lids, and thus affecting the vision at times, and the conditions with the assimilating system and a rectal disturbance.
5. These as we find arise primarily from the condition in which the end of the spine presses upon the nerve system. At TIMES this has caused a little disturbance. This is a pressure produced some time back, when the body had an injury. It is turned INWARD, and thus the brush end of the cerebrospinal system is under stress, and the connections with the superficial circulation cause a disturbance that prevents the eliminations - so that these are distributed through the perspiratory system and through portions of the body as to cause the irritations in parts of the body.
6. This as we find may be materially aided - the superficial condition - by local applications which we will indicate, and when the disturbances are removed, the effect as produced upon the organs of the sensory system - especially the CIRCULATION to same being improved - will gradually remove those irritations that are produced through portions of the system.
7. Also we find there is a condition caused in the gall duct area, through the effect of the digestive forces, owing to the attempts of the system to adjust itself under the
1935-1 Page 2
stress. This as we find is that to be "dreaded" the more, as would be termed - unless corrections are made; for eventually this would become localized in the action of the pancreas, and thus affecting the kidneys - for the body finds at times now there are those inclinations, from the nerve forces, for the kidneys or bladder to be overactive.
8. The irritation in the rectal area, or through the sphincter muscular forces, is because of the pressure of activities from the nerves upon those areas.
9. Thus ALL of these will require specific applications, and then the CORRECTION of the condition existent in the cerebrospinal system.
10. This as we find will require that there be the raising or straightening of this end of the spine. This will necessitate corrective forces by the osteopathic adjustments - or a good chiropractic adjustment here will be most helpful and assist in regulating the system so that the activities of the system will be materially aided.
11. The corrections as WE find would be preferably made by such an one as Waters. This for THIS body, as we find, would be more preferable.
12. As for the conditions of the eyes - here we will find that the use of the violet ray (hand machine, the double-eye applicator) about twice a week for half a minute in the beginning, would be most helpful. Do not turn it on too strong, but place the applicator upon the eyes BEFORE it is turned on - and apply it for only half a minute.
13. Then, for the irritations over the body - Bathe these with an equal combination of Witchhazel and Compound Tincture of Benzoin. They do not mix well, but shake together, and after this is applied dust the body with the powder containing Balsam - for it will adhere then, in a manner. Use this of an evening, you see - and bathe same off the next morning.
14. For the conditions in the rectal area - use the compound known as TIM - not too much of this, but sufficient to allow the effect from the absorption of the ingredients in same to act upon the sphincter muscles.
15. As to the diet for the body - keep away from FRIED FOODS! or from those things that cause too much of the activity of the liver to be producing fermentations - as white bread or potatoes - though potatoes in some forms are well for the body, especially as they will make for a better activity for the thyroid and thymus gland, and thus cause better reaction as the corrections are made.
16. A great deal of the properties that are laxative in their nature would be well. The pie plant (rhubarb) should
1935-1 Page 3
be taken, stewed, at least two meals during a week.
17. These as we find, with a general activity, should make for the corrections here.
18. Ready for questions.
19. (Q) Does it hurt to use the eyes when they are all inflamed? (A) So far as the vision is concerned, not a great deal; but for the reflex action upon the nerves, they should be shaded and never used under too STRONG an electric light.
20. (Q) Are my tonsils infected? (A) Only sympathetically.
21. (Q) Do I have infected teeth? (A) These as we find only need some local attention. That as HAS been here disturbed didn't need to be removed! Then, the local applications would be the more preferable. Use an equal combination of soda and salt - this is an excellent massage, and much better than most preparations that are rubbed on with a brush.
22. (Q) Would Dr. Bolkhardt [M. Bolkhardt, N.D.] be able to give the adjustments of the spine as indicated? (A) As we find, he would be ABLE - and he would do it; but for the BODY, as WE find, it would be preferable to have Waters - with the NATURE of the condition and that form of treatment which will be necessary.
23. (Q) What causes irritation on hands occasionally? (A) As just indicated, this is the effect of the nerve forces throughout the system, see? All parts of the body that are exposed, you see, become the more easily affected. Do as has been indicated, and we will bring the better forces for this body.
24. We are through for the present. Copy to Self through Mrs. [808] " " Ass'n file (See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for Dr. Lulu Irene Waters, 1707 Columbia Rd., Washington, D.C.) ington, D.C.)
