Time of Reading 11:40 to 11:45 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Ky.

1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions which have been submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes.

3. As we find, there is the indication of an allaying of the fire in the system itself, with the use of those properties that have been indicated.

4. So long as the inflammation continues, we would continue to use the Beet Poultice - this being changed once or twice each day.

5. But we would add also the Mullein Tea as an assistant in eliminating those poisons that are being naturally thrown into the system by the allaying of the disturbances through the lymph and emunctory circulation; as well as the infectious forces.

6. In the diet we would add occasionally the artichoke, preferably the Jerusalem variety - if this is practical. This is to aid in the activity of the glandular force as related to assimilation. This should aid in stimulating better eliminations through the kidneys and a better coordination of the activity of the pancrean forces by the assimilation of the insulin from same.

7. The rest we would keep near to that manner being applied.

8. Be very mindful about the milk, that it has been tested. Use other combinations of milk, as the Dried Milk, if it becomes necessary.

9. These should bring better conditions for the body.

10. Ready for questions.

11. (Q) What effect should the Beet Poultices have upon the swollen area? (A) Cause this to be reduced and eventually assimilated, or to break and eliminate, see? These as we find would be kept - these suggestions as we have indicated - with a great deal of prayer. For, remember from Whom, through Whom all life, all healing comes.

12. We are through with this Reading. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (7/17/39 GD's notes: Directions for preparing Mullein Tea: Take 2 ounces of the Mullein Leaves and bruise very thoroughly, if the green leaves are used (which would be preferable, if possible), or 3 ounces of the Mullein Leaves if the dried leaves are used, and put into a quart of nearly cold water - in an enamel or glass container, not aluminum or tin or metal. Let come to almost a boil, but very slowly. As it comes to the boil, take off. About two ounces of this would be taken each day. Keep in cool place and make fresh every two or three days. If Jerusalem artichoke may not be obtained in your vicinity at this time of year, it may be ordered from John A. Salzer Seed Co., LaCrosse, Wisconsin. It would be prepared as would be an Irish potato - boiled; or eaten raw.)
