Time of Reading 10:55 to 11:05 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Conn.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions she has submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes - a very beautiful approach - very lovely person!

3. We have the body here, [1941].

4. Now as we find, the conditions are rather specific as to cause; while their reactions through the body are somewhat disturbing as to the sources of the pressures and as to the reactions that have and do come from time to time.

5. But as we find here - as might be seen by X-Ray or by the thorough examination - there has been, owing to disturbance in the structural portion of the body, an unbalancing of the pelvic bone itself.

6. Hence there is pressure brought to bear upon the lower portion of the nerve forces in the lower end of the spine, through the sacral and the coccyx area. And this combined with the reflex action brings about at times very disconcerting and very disturbing conditions.

7. These as we find may be easily adjusted, if there is the correct approach to same; thus removing the disturbance through this portion of the system; thus giving the opportunity for the better assimilating forces of the system, if there is the better care of diet; not upsetting the organs of the system and not bringing too much disturbance to bear as to upset the pancreas and the activity of the liver.

8. Thus we may bring near normal forces for this body, [1941] if these things will be done.

9. In making the applications, as we find FIRST there should be applied Wet Heat over the sacral and lumbar area. This should be applied for at least fifteen to twenty minutes, changing the hot compresses at least four or five to six times during that period.

10. THEN make the corrections by using not only the corrections in the area but the limbs, in making the raising of the structural portions to a normalcy, see?

11. The body should rest AFTER such an adjustment.

12. And if these are made some three to four times, and rest half an hour to an hour after each treatment, and there is not the undue exercise to make for the disturbing of the condition, we should bring the better conditions for the system; and relieve those tensions that have made for many of the disturbing forces in the system, thus disturbing and upsetting the equilibrium, causing the body at times to be unable to rest and at other times causing a great deal of disturbance through the pelvic areas.

13. These we would do.

14. Then, there should be those precautions as to the tendencies or inclinations which disturb in the pancrean and the gall duct or liver area. There SHOULD be taken the Jerusalem artichoke in the diet occasionally. The insulin from this will supply those necessary forces to create the better balance in the activity of the glandular forces of the body, removing much of this tendency for irritation through the kidneys and bladder that at times gives the body trouble.

15. There must be the refraining from the use of any great quantities of alcoholic drinks or the use of same WHILE these are being taken.

16. Beware of too great quantity of sugars or of pastries. Ices or ice cream even, however, may be very well.

17. If these are done we should find we would bring much better influences and forces for the body.

18. These corrections could be done, SHOULD be done, OSTEOPATHICALLY. WE would advise the Dobbins' method.

19. Ready for questions.

20. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See extra copy of Reading [which was enclosed] for Dr. Frank Dobbins, 551 Fifth Avenue, New York City. If you are unable to obtain the Jerusalem artichoke from your grocer, it may be ordered from the John A. Salzer Seed Co., LaCrosse, Wisconsin. It may be prepared as you would prepare a boiled Irish potato; or it may be occasionally eaten raw - as a carrot, "occasionally" in the diet meaning once or twice a week.)
