1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time, giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions she has submitted, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body, [1955].

3. Now as we find, there are disturbing conditions in the physical forces of this body.

4. These have to do with the functioning of organs, both from a sympathetic and a functional manner. While they have not assumed a great disturbance as yet, the indisposition and the disturbance should be warnings for the body that there needs be those applications in the present to correct this functioning and thus bring the nearer normal conditions; or else we may expect greater disturbance later that would be much harder to cope with than in the present.

5. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body:

6. The blood supply, and the manner of activity through the heart, indicates a disturbance with both the upper and lower hepatic circulation. This is the cause - as will be seen in the functioning between the liver and the kidneys, or the upper and lower hepatic circulation - of those severe pains across portions of the back. This is above the hips but the more often about the lower portion of the last rib area.

7. This is a disturbance that produces pressures upon both the sympathetic and cerebrospinal system, and is a disturbance in those areas of the gall duct and the liver, as well as some inclinations in the pains; and thus the kidneys are involved in the disturbances.

8. These as we find cause the pressures upon the nerve system of the headaches that come through the back portion of the head, and then through the eyes and the temples at times.

9. All of this causes periods when there is an upsetting in the digestive system, a sour stomach as it were, the lack of

1955-1 Page 2

the emptying properly of the stomach - and through the areas of the duodenum a fullness, with not a great deal of pain except uneasiness.

10. At times we find a fullness through the limbs, the lower limbs - these become heavy through the hips and through the back portion of the limbs, from the pressures that are induced - across the lower portion of the abdomen at times a disturbance because of the lack of the proper elimination.

11. Without care and attention these may become greater disturbing conditions through this body.

12. As we find, in making administrations then that would be the more helpful for this body of [1955] we are speaking of:

13. First, we would give that there not be too much starch in the diet. No fats, or butter, or fats of any nature. The bread taken would be preferably the loaf bread that is whole wheat, or rye bread or the like; most of this toasted would be better, though not necessarily at all times.

14. All forms of vegetables are preferable to any large quantities of meats. Fish, fowl or lamb are preferable as meats. No red meats at any time, or hog meat; though a little crisp bacon if desired may be taken of a morning. Eggs - only the yolk of same.

15. A portion of one meal each day should be raw vegetables; this to aid in better eliminations.

16. Occasionally a high colonic would be advisable, rather than too much of any cathartic or laxative. This will not only cleanse the system and the colon area, where the heaviness appears, but will make for better assimilations throughout the system.

17. At those periods when there is the acute pain, or headache, or the disturbed feeling in those areas of the cerebrospinal system, we would massage the body gently across the small of the back with an equal combination of Mutton Suet, Spirits of Turpentine and Spirits of Camphor. Then apply immediately afterwards heavy, coarse salt, heated, in packs. At the same period we would also apply the heated salt pack, following the rub as indicated, over the liver and gall duct area (though there may not be the feeling of a disturbance there). The heated salt would be preferably sewed into a pack, you see; having a layer at least half an inch thick, then quilted in a pad. This may be heated, or an electric pad put over same; preferably heated.

18. As we find, this will not only reduce the achey feeling but aid also in producing a better activity through the kidneys, and the better eliminations through the gall duct area.

19. Also we would take internally two ounces of Watermelon Seed Tea about twice each week. Prepare in this way and manner: Crush the seed (fresh, if they are easily obtained), and pour a pint of boiling water over a teaspoonful of the crushed seed. Let this steep as tea. Keep it in a cool place, and drink about two ounces. This should be a supply for about one week, see; but should not be kept longer than that, or it would spoil - even if kept in cool place. This should be prepared, strained, and then put aside to take.

20. Each evening we would have the electric vibrations of the Violet Ray (hand machine, bulb applicator), applied at home by someone close to the body; for about two minutes. Begin at the base of head and go down either side of the spinal system to the end of the spine - first one side, then the other.

21. About six to twelve full osteopathic adjustments would also aid in setting up better eliminations, as these other things are used as indicated.

22. Do these, and we will not only relieve these disturbances but prevent a great deal of disturbance later.

23. Ready for questions.

24. We are through for the present. [See below note re EC's comment upon awaking.] Copy to Self " " Ass'n file [EC's comment on awaking from above reading: "Most unusual experience of feeling myself losing consciousness. Didn't know in which portion of body I felt it, but it was like I had an adhesive tape on, then gradually felt it pull loose. I felt the consciousness being pulled out in that same way."] (GD's note at time of reading: At your convenience we would appreciate a history of your case to the time of obtaining the Reading, so we may have it with which to compare our information. This is valuable for our files.) .)
