1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for corrective measures; answering the questions which may be submitted, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes.
3. As we find, conditions are developing in very much of a normal way and manner.
4. While disturbances arise at times through the activity of the foods upon the system, we find that these may be overcome by altering same in the way and manner as to make for better assimilation.
5. This may be done either by the heating or by the addition of those properties in the milk as to act better with the gastric flow.
6. The change that has been indicated, or is indicated in the character of the food, must be taken - of course - into consideration.
7. Ready for questions.
8. (Q) What formula is best to use? (A) As we find, that as first indicated - the Carnation.
9. (Q) How should it be altered, for the present conditions? (A) As indicated, more heated; and the adding of properties for the better gastric flow.
10. (Q) Will that correct the stool? (A) It will correct the stool. If it doesn't, add one drop of Glyco-Thymoline occasionally, to purify the alimentary canal.
11. (Q) What has caused the digestive system and the bowels to be upset? (A) As just indicated, the changing to the varied formulas and the effects that these have had. Rather should the changes be made in the ONE formula, or governed, according to the change taking place in the body from time to time, see? and not adding other things that upset.
12. (Q) What quantity to a feeding should she have?
1958-2 Page 2
(A) Three to four ounces.
13. (Q) Please give the correct formula. (A) This is a matter for the manufacturers and the PHYSICIANS!
14. (Q) Is the Carnation better for her than the goat's milk? (A) As indicated, WE find that it can be handled much more easily, and the formula changed from time to time to meet the conditions much more easily than could be with the goat's milk. If the goat milk is preferred, then use it!
15. (Q) Should she have the orange juice? (A) Not as yet.
16. (Q) Has this been a part of the trouble? (A) This has been partly a cause of the trouble, just as has been indicated. The adding to, and the changing of things, makes for the upsetting - until there is a GENERAL reaction through the system for normal assimilations.
17. (Q) At what age should orange juice be started? (A) This varies, of course, with different individuals. In this particular case, we find it may be started at about five to six months.
18. (Q) At what age should cereal be started? (A) Depends upon the character of the cereal. For this body it may be begun at once.
19. (Q) What cereal? (A) Oats!
20. (Q) Should the Cod Liver Oil be given? (A) If it's found necessary, it should be given. If the feedings are given in the PROPER way and manner (that is, the milk), this should not be necessary in the immediate; but would come a little later when there is not enough of the open air or the sunshine for the body.
21. (Q) Should the full strength Carnation formula be used, or weakened? (A) This has to be a matter of tests for the individual, according to the conditions which exist from time to time. When disturbances arise, as in the present, it should be cut down and made weaker.
