1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body and those conditions which hinder the more perfect functioning of disturbed conditions through the body. These, as we find, have to do with the digestive and assimilating system, and the effect upon the nerve forces of the body as related to heart's activity AND eliminations.

3. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [1959]:

4. The blood supply indicates the auto-intoxication, or the auto-toxic forces in the system, and the metabolism of the body unbalanced; also the variations in the pressure as produced through the heart's activity.

5. There are periods of irregularity with the eliminations, not only through alimentary canal but through the kidneys and the activity of the bladder; and some little disturbance, though not so strongly indicated in the present, in the prostate.

6. All of these, as we find, are indicated through the very character or nature of the blood flow itself.

7. In the nervous system we find that the coordination between the central nervous forces - or from the 8th and 9th dorsal center - indicates there is a strain upon the nervous systems, from both the physical and mental activities of the body - as a deflection there that prevents the normal functionings through the assimilating forces of the body.

8. Hence we have periods when superacidity exists, by the overactivities that prevent the assimilating of foods taken.

9. The effect from these conditions upon the nervous system, as well as upon the functioning of the organs of the body -

unless these are corrected - would gradually grow worse, until they become centralized or localized in whichever portion of the system gives way first.

10. Weakness exists, as indicated, through the areas outlined.

11. As we find, in making applications which would CORRECT these conditions:

12. We would begin with having the full hydrotherapy treatments about twice each week for at least the first three weeks. When giving the Sweat Bath, be very careful that there is not too great a strain placed upon the heart's activity - until there are nearer normal conditions in the pressure in the blood force.

13. This we find (the pressure) will be most materially aided by the high colonic irrigations, and the massage (but not electrical treatments) with special reference to the 9th dorsal area, coordinated with the upper dorsals and throughout the cervical area.

14. We would also prepare a compound in this manner:

15. To 1 pint of Water add 1/2 ounce of Garden Sage. Let this come to a good boil - boiling not more than a minute or minute and a half. Take off. Strain. Then to this add - IN THE ORDER NAMED: Cinnamon (preferably in the stick)...1 dram, Gordon's Gin.......................1/2 pint, Ambergris (dissolved in 1 ounce of Pure Grain Alcohol)..............15 grains. Shake the solution well before the dose is taken, which would be a teaspoonful at each meal - until the whole quantity is taken.

16. In the matter of the diet - keep away from heavy foods; that is, such as rare beefsteak, or too much of shell fish or oysters of any kind; though fish, fowl and lamb may be taken.

17. Let one meal each day consist principally of raw fresh vegetables; as lettuce, celery, carrots, tomatoes or the like. These combined in a salad may be taken with or without dressing, to suit the taste; or vary these from time to time to prevent them from becoming objectionable to the body.

18. Be consistent with these applications. Don't take the treatments one week and then leave them off the next. Take two each week for the first three weeks - preferably for the first six weeks - then take them once each week until at least twelve or fifteen have been taken.

19. Thus we will bring near normal forces for this body, [1959].

20. Ready for questions.

21. (Q) Would you recommend a hydrotherapist? (A) We would go to Reilly's.

22. We are through for the present. Copy to Self (two copies; one for The Reilly Service, Attn. H. J. Reilly, R.C.A. Bldg., New York City) Copy to Ass'n file (If you have trouble getting the compound prepared, send the enclosed extra sheet of directions to our local druggist here: Meredith Drug Co., Atten. Wm. Meredith, 17th Street, Virginia Beach, Va.) h, Va.)
