Time of Reading 10:40 to 11:00 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Virginia.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions she may submit, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [1960].

3. As we find, there are disturbing conditions which prevent the better normal physical functioning. These have to do with the digestive system, and especially with the liver and the gall duct area more specific.

4. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [1960] we are speaking of, present in this room:

5. In the blood supply we find the effect of poisons that are not eliminated through the assimilating or excretory functioning of the gall duct or liver activity. Thus poisons are being distributed through various portions of the system, that will in themselves sooner or later give a great deal of disturbance unless the causes of these effects are removed from the system.

6. As to the functioning of the nerve forces relating to this - when there are those excesses of fats taken that require the greater functioning of the gall duct, these are not assimilated with the food values. Thus there is caused the activity in the system attempting to produce an action through the gall duct and the bladder itself - that is, the gall bladder.

7. These are being hindered by a strangulation in the duct, and the small formation - as yet - in the bladder of the gall duct, or the gall bladder.

8. These then cause excruciating pain and a form of cramp, a form of congestion that becomes the flowing of the poisons into the system to relieve the tension.

9. Then, these are the specific conditions to be met.

10. Of course, there are disturbances in the lower hepatics, from the excess of the conditions, and these are gradually

1960-1 Page 2

forming a stress upon the functioning of the kidneys also, - through the attempts to eliminate - as a sympathetic reaction to the upper hepatic and the liver.

11. Then, these are the conditions as we find them to be met:

12. In making applications for relief, as well as for the removing of the causes of the disturbance - these will necessarily have to be done gradually, because of their long standing. Yet with persistence we may relieve the disturbance without resorting to operative measures.

13. We would begin, then, by the DON'TS in relation to the diet:

14. DON'T eat fats of any nature.

15. DON'T have any character of meats save fish or fowl.

16. No fried foods.

17. The diet should consist principally of leafy vegetables, and as much fruits and nuts (for fats, or instead of fats) as possible or practical with the body.

18. Begin with taking a quarter teaspoonful of ALCAROID after each meal; this to be dissolved in a little water and then a full glass added, and then drinking another glassful of water afterward.

19. Also we would begin with the use of heavy Castor Oil Packs over the liver, and extending to the caecum area, - that is, the whole of the right side from the lower portion of the rib to the lower portion of the abdomen. Have at least three thicknesses of flannel that would be wrung out of Castor Oil as hot as the body can well stand same. After this has been placed on body, and cloths to prevent spoiling the bed clothing, then apply heavy salt heat. Make a pad of heavy (coarse) salt into a bag, at least half an inch thick, so that the heat will be retained. Do this for an hour each day for at least five days.

20. Then after five days ofusing the Oil Packs as indicated, begin with taking CAROID and BILE SALTS tablets. It will be found that these will come with the ALCAROID. Take them in this manner: Take one tablet after or during the morning meal, one after the noon meal, and two after the evening meal.

21. The next morning (after taking the Caroid tablets the day before as indicated), before arising, take at least a tablespoonful of Fleet's Phospho-Soda in a glass of warm water. Lie upon the right side, with a pillow under that side - under the liver and the gall duct area - until there has been the full evacuation and elimination from taking same, see?

22. And do not stand on the feet very much during that day,

1960-1 Page 3

see? especially the day the Fleet's Phospho-Soda is taken.

23. After resting then for two or three days, begin with osteopathic adjustments to correct the subluxations which exist in the upper dorsal area, extending to the 9th dorsal. Coordinate the lumbar plexus with the brachial plexus, and relax the areas from the 1st cervical to the 9th dorsal. Take two such treatments each week for at least three weeks - for the first series.

24. Then repeat the whole applications of the Oil Packs and the properties for cleansing or draining the system, see, as indicated. During this period do not have the osteopathic adjustments; but those six treatments - two each week for three weeks - should be taken between the two series of local applications to be made by self at home, see?

25. Then after the second round of the applications by self (not before), we would begin osteopathically to GENTLY drain the gall duct area. But there must be at least two drainages through taking the properties in the manner as outlined, before there is the ATTEMPT for this to be done osteopathically; else we may bruise the tissue in such a manner as to cause greater disturbance, or to localize the tendency for inflammation.

26. Do these, and we should bring much nearer normal conditions for this body; not eliminating same entirely, for there will be the weakness for some periods, yet eliminating the greater cause of the disturbance.

27. Continue to be mindful of the diet as indicated. Drink plenty of water at all times.

28. Ready for questions.

29. (Q) What osteopath would you suggest to give these treatments? (A) Hudgins.

30. (Q) How soon should the body begin to feel better? (A) There will be periods when it will be feeling much better, and there will be periods when it'll feel much worse! But the body will have to be consistent with those applications indicated! And during the period of taking the Oil Packs AND the Caroid and Bile Salts tablets, be sure there is not the attempt for too much exercise on the feet.

31. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for preparing Castor Oil Packs.
