1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering the questions she may submit, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2025].
3. As we find, there are disturbing conditions which cause disorders and disturbances through the physical functioning of the organs of the body.
4. We find that these affect more the digestive forces, the nervous system, and the reaction to these throughout the alimentary canal; as well as the natural reactions which arise as results from irritations to nerve centers and areas.
5. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [2025] we are speaking of, present in this room:
6. In the blood supply we find there are those inclinations for a form of anemia; produced by the lack of proper assimilation, or lack of sufficient of the lactic fluids.
7. Hence, with the deflected impulses in the nerve system (as we will see), we find that gas is produced through not only the jejunum or upper intestinal system but through the colon also, and especially in the ascending colon or on the right side.
8. Then, this producing pressures upon the activity of the system, there is reflexly caused an activity of too great consequence in the bladder, as well as the inflammation produced by such pressures in kidney area.
9. However, even from the deflections, we do not find a disturbance other than functional with the kidneys; though there are times when there is inflammation, or a little pus about the kidney centers - as indicated in the characters in the lymph circulation.
10. In the nerve system - here we find partially the
2025-1 Page 2
causes, as well as a great deal of the effects that are produced in the nerve force.
11. In the coccyx area, and in the lumbar axis especially, there are pressures that cause a great deal of the disturbance - as combined with the inflammation and gas which has been indicated through the action of those forces in the system.
12. These subluxations prevent the proper impulse passing through those portions of the system. Thus these come rather as spasmodic reactions - at times producing a catch or a heaviness in the small of the back, at times extending to the limbs - with the tendency or need for activity, and yet the easily tiring - as would be indicated from the form of the anemia also, that becomes a portion of the disturbance.
13. In the functioning of the organs - we find that the brain forces, brain reflexes, are very good.
14. Naturally, the organs of the sensory system are sensitive to reactions through the pineal glands, as relate to the sensory forces. The eyes at times burn; there is the tendency or insomnia at times; suddenly becoming tired and weak, and the reflexes when a little nausea arises from the digestive system. All of these are reflexes through the glandular forces as related to the activities in the system as indicated.
15. In the throat, bronchi, lungs and larynx - these reflexes are very good; though because of the superacidity and the formations of gas, there is produced a quick pulsation, with abnormal conditions for the pressures according to the general functionings of the system; though no organic trouble in lung or heart OR of any activity, - purely a reflex.
16. As indicated, in the digestive system we find a great deal of the EFFECT of disturbances apparent. For the conditions in the digestive system have at times produced even lacerations in portions of the duodenum, as well as in the pyloric portion of the stomach itself. These assist in being causes, though they are reflex conditions from the nerve pressures and the lack of the proper assimilating forces of balance in the lacteal and the acid force in the system.
17. The liver and gall duct sympathetically at TIMES are involved, though all of this - as we find - will respond to those applications which we will suggest for the removal of the pressures, and for the correcting of the disturbance to the organs themselves.
18. Though the colon and the caecum area we find
2025-1 Page 3
engorgements, while in the descending colon a tendency towards prolapsus. Thus those conditions in portions of the nerve forces, that act as the valvular force in the eliminating of the fecal forces from the system, become involved.
19. The organs of the pelvis sympathetically become involved.
20. As we find, then - in making the administrations for corrective forces:
21. First, there needs to be assistance in the lactic flow through the alimentary canal. Hence, after each meal we would take a small quantity (about a quarter teaspoonful) of ALCAROID - dissolved first in a little water, and then a full glass of water added.
22. Also after the heavy meal each day (whichever is the heavier meal of the day), take a few drops of Elixir of Lactated Pepsin (five to six, even to ten drops, but not over that) in a half to a full glass of water in which there would also be stirred half a teaspoonful of Milk of Bismuth. This will aid digestion, keep down the gas pressures, and relieve tensions.
23. And, to remove the causes - we would OSTEOPATHICALLY remove those pressures in the coccyx and lumbar, coordinating the rest of the system; that is, make corrections in the coccyx and LUMBAR area, coordinating the solar plexus and the brachial plexus with such corrections as they are made. This method will be found to be opposite from most osteopathic adjustments, but the corrections are needed first in the lumbar and the coccyx area. THEN coordinate the dorsals and cervicals WITH the corrections made; stimulating the dorsal and cervical areas for better eliminations.
24. Then, in the matter of the diet - in the beginning, until the osteopathic corrections begin to have their effect upon the system, we would not have too heavy foods; that is, we would keep the tendency towards more of the raw, fresh vegetables, and a semi-liquid diet - buttermilk and such natures, or any form that aids in keeping down the tendency for gas formations.
25. Do not combine citrus fruits and cereals at the same meal.
26. Do not take quantities of fats.
27. However, we will find - as conditions develop - the ADIRON as a tonic (which carries the cod liver oil, iron, and vitamins A, B and G) will be MOST beneficial; keeping down the tendency for the acidity, building up the red blood supply, and aiding in keeping off colds.

28. Do these, in the way as has been indicated, and we will bring better conditions for this body of [2025].
29. Ready for questions.
30. (Q) Is it alright for me to take Anacin tablets when suffering? (A) It is alright, just so they are not taken too close together; but gradually keep away from these as much as practical. As we find, as the corrections are made osteopathically, and the gas pressures are removed, as well as the stimulation given for normal flow between the upper and lower hepatic circulation, the pains will disappear.
31. (Q) Should I not eat any roughage? (A) Let the roughage be rather the combinations of the fresh, raw vegetables. A great deal of lettuce, a great deal of tomatoes, celery, carrots and of that nature; grated or chopped very fine; taken with a dressing. This should be the greater part of roughage. For the better eliminations (but not in the beginning) we would take the compound that acts as a natural, or nature's, eliminant - SERUTAN.
32. (Q) What causes the soreness in left knee? Does that come from the digestive disturbance? (A) This is a tendency towards neuritis, which - of course - is nerve pressure or soreness, from the lack of lymph flow to those portions. This will disappear entirely as the other corrections are made as indicated.
33. (Q) Do my arches need any help? (A) This is a natural relaxation from the nerve strain. To be sure, with the osteopathic adjustments, the lower limbs should have their coordinating forces with the extremities. In making such an adjustment here, osteopathically - this should be made through the Achilles burse, and the frontal burse; that is, taking the heel in-the left hand, with the pressure on either side; putting the thumb of the right hand under the ankle of the foot and this pressed downward as the limb is GENTLY raised. Be careful as to diets - not undereating, but not overeating - as conditions improve. Do these, and - as as find - we will bring near to normal forces for this body.
