Time of Reading 10:30 to 10:55 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Va.

1. HLC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions she may submit, as I ask them:

2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2050].

3. Now as we find, while many conditions in the physical forces of the body are very good, there are disturbances that have caused and do cause anxieties, and a great deal of distress at times.

4. These, as we find, especially have to do with the conditions through the alimentary canal, and especially as related to the nerve system and the activities produced through the combination of disturbances upon the whole of the blood supply and the nerve forces of the body.

5. Then, these are the conditions as we find them with this body, [2050], we are speaking of, present in this room:

6. First, in the blood supply - here we find indications of the type or nature of the disturbances as related to the activities of the body. For there is a form of anemia, as well as an effluvium in portions of the blood stream; indicating inflammation, or a form of strep that is carried in the blood as an attempt at times to overcome the adhesions which exist in a portion of the alimentary canal.

7. These work upon the ganglia along the nerve centers from which impulses arise for the supplying of energies to the system; especially upon those centers where there is the connection between sympathetic and cerebrospinal system.

8. Hence there are periods where there is a great deal of aggravation to these conditions.

9. Thus we find the reactions become such as to produce periods when there is excitement easily to the sympathetic nerve system; inclinations for the body to become very

2050-1 Page 2

crabbed, irritable, and disturbed by those things which would ordinarily NOT produce a reaction of the nature.

10. These may be said to be the reflexes to the nerve system, producing the reaction through the condition as indicated.

11. In the nerve forces, besides the disturbance just indicated, we find that in the lower part of the lacteal duct areas, below the gall duct area and the first folds in the jejunum, there are thinned areas from adhesions. And these cause a great deal of disturbance at times through that area between the caecum and the upper portions of the jejunum.

12. These are the basis, or the cause of the greater part of the alimentary canal disturbance, as well as those conditions which exist in the blood supply and in the nerve forces themselves.

13. Adhesions and lesions in this area, then, are the basis or the causes of the greater disturbances.

14. These, acting upon the nerve reflex for the functioning of the liver and gall duct and the spleen and pancreas, have at times brought those reflexes of a pressure in the greater blood supply itself.

15. Thus we have those reflexes to the extremities, when there is the feeling of the limbs becoming numb, or asleep, - or a tingling sensation.

16. These are only indications of the character or nature of the disturbances. These reflect at times, to be sure, upon the functioning between the upper and the lower hepatic circulation, causing a disturbance to the kidneys as they relate to the functioning through the activity of the bladder itself.

17. Hence those periods when the excess of this effluvium to be eliminated produces a burning sensation through the urethra at times in the eliminating of the poisons from the body itself.

18. All of these as we find become then the combination of disturbances as bring about those things which may be eliminated, or aided so as to bring the nearer normal forces and influences for this body, [2050].

19. Then, in making the administrations that would be the more helpful for this body:

20. First, we would begin with taking regularly, twice a week, the Watermelon Seed Tea. Crush or grind the seed and make a tea; and on, say, Tuesdays and Fridays take about two ounces of this as an active principle upon the hepatic circulation. The active principle is the form of Nitre that is made from the distillation or the brewing of the seed.

21. Then, after this has been taken in this manner for two or three weeks - if there is any pain in the right area (which has been indicated), we would paint same with a combination of three parts Laudanum to one part Aconite; and then place over same (the parts which have just been painted) a saturated solution of Epsom Salts in hot packs.

22. These as we find will not only ease the pain but will be inclined, through the absorption of these properties, to loosen the tension that is indicated by the adhesions in the area.

23. It would THEN be well that these adhesions be broken up, either by the mechanical (osteopathic) adjustments or by the gentle kneading of the portions of the abdomen, and of that area between the caecum and the liver; stimulating the activities of the bursa or ganglia and bursa along those areas specifically from the 6th dorsal to the lower lumbar areas.

24. These as we find, if they are adhered to, will bring a great deal of aid and help to this body.

25. In the matter of the diets through these periods - we will find that those foods combining a greater quantity of Vitamin B-1 (thymine) would be especially most beneficial to the body, as they will aid in eliminating those disturbances through the whole of the system, especially as related to the conditions carried in the blood stream itself.

26. Eat especially a great deal of steel cut oats - not rolled oats so much, though these, to be sure, carry SOME, but a greater quantity will be found in the steel cut oats - these, of course, cooked a long time.

27. Also in parsnips, turnips and such we will find the greater quantity, or the active forces from this Vitamin needed by this particular body.

28. Then follow the regular diets that aid in eliminations. Use such as figs; or a combination of figs and dates would be an excellent diet to be taken often. Prepare same in this manner: 1 cup Black or Assyrian Figs, chopped, cut or ground very fine; 1 cup Dates, chopped very fine; 1/2 cup Yellow Corn Meal (NOT too finely ground).

29. Cook this combination in 2 or 3 cups of water until the consistency of mush. Such a dish as a part of the diet often will be as an aid to better eliminations, as well as carrying those properties that will aid in building better conditions throughout the alimentary canal.

30. Do these.

31. Ready for questions.

2050-1 Page 4

32. (Q) How often should the Laudanum and Aconite, with the Epsom Salts packs, be used? (A) As indicated, when there is pain.

33. (Q) How often should the osteopathic treatments be given, following these? (A) Following such applications, have the treatments.

34. (Q) What will help the body sleep better? (A) Eliminating the poisons and the tensions, or "buzz" as it were upon the nerve system, as indicated, will naturally make for easier sleep. In the beginning of these, if there is the tendency for sleeplessness, or insomnia, stir a teaspoonful of Pure Honey in a glass of HOT milk and drink same.

35. (Q) What type of blood test would reveal the strep in the blood? (A) The smear.

36. (Q) Any other suggestions for the body at this time? (A) Do these, and we will find the bettered conditions for the body.

37. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (Remarks after the reading: Has suffered with pain in right side for 15 years; had X-Rays and one exploratory operation which showed nothing; people had begun to tell her it was just her mind. Also had the condition in limbs as indicated; could never sit long in one position without legs going to sleep. See directions [which were enclosed] for preparing Epsom Salts packs; also extra sheet for Dr. Hudgins when you are ready for his treatments, letting him see the entire Reading first. At your convenience, please let us have a history of your case to the time of obtaining the Reading. This is valuable for our files, so we may have something with which to compare our information.) n.)
