Time of Reading 3:30 to 3:40 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., New Jersey.

1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions he has submitted, as I ask them.

2. EC: Yes.

3. As we find, there has been such a long period of allowing this progressive disturbance to continue, that it may be hard to eradicate the causes - but much might be done to retard the disturbance, and to prolong the bodily and physical activities of the body.

4. These disturbances, as we find, arise from hindrances produced in the locomotory forces through an unbalanced condition in the blood supply - as also combined with an injury to the lower portion of the sacral area.

5. Thus an intermediary condition has been produced between that of a slow paresis and of multiple sclerosis.

6. Hence not only are the activities of the system retarded but there has also been produced a wasting away of the muscular tissue of the body; and this, forming into a static condition, is what we would call the greater trouble.

7. But persistent and consistent applications of those things as we may indicate for the retardment, as we find would be most helpful, most beneficial for the body.

8. First, then - we would begin with the use of small doses of Atomidine as a purifier for the whole of the glandular system. We would take one minim (drop) in half a glass of water each morning before the meal is taken, but each OTHER day - that is, every OTHER day - increase the dosage one minim, until ten minims are being taken. Then leave off for five days. Then begin again with the one minim, and every other day increase the dosage one minim until ten minims are being taken again. Don't increase it other than this, or else there will be a disturbance that will not be satisfactory!

9. After the second round of the Atomidine, in the manner

indicated - we would then have a Bath in a saturated solution of Epsom Salts. This should be at least ten to fifteen pounds of Epsom Salts in fifty gallons of water. Put the body in same with the water body-temperature, then gradually add hot water until it is as hot as the body can stand. Let the body remain in this for at least thirty minutes or more. Keep the head cool, and watch the body that there is not too much reaction. Massage the lower limbs and the spine with this Epsom Salts solution during the period he is in the Bath, see?

10. Then, after that we would begin with adjustments, osteopathically made, through the sacral, coccyx and the lower lumbar areas. We would have these at least once every week.

11. Also we would keep taking the Atomidine in the form and manner indicated, but THIS time have THREE ROUNDS of it before another of the Epsom Salts Baths would be taken.

12. And during the time have at least one osteopathic adjustment every week, in the manner indicated.

13. In the diet - have extra quantities of rye (ground; or rye flour), in the form of bread or cakes made with same; plenty of steel cut oats (not rolled oats); plenty of whole wheat cooked - this not separated from the bran or the like. These, of course, would not be the entire diet, but one or the other of these should form the greater part of the morning meal every day throughout this period.

14. Do that - and after the third of such Epsom Salts Baths, and the second round of the osteopathic adjustments, we will give further instructions.

15. We are through for the present. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (GD's notes at the time of the reading: See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for osteopath when it is time for these treatments. Let us know the name of the osteopath you choose, so we may put him on our mailing list. At your convenience we would appreciate a history of your case to the time of obtaining the reading. This is valuable for our files, so we may have something with which to compare our information. Let us know when you have completed the series of treatments
