Time of Reading 10:55 to 11:15 A. M. Eastern War Time. New York City.
1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body; answering questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2056]; this we have had before.
3. A great many changes have taken place in the body since last we had same here. Not all are for good.
4. In the present - as the result of conditions that have existed for a long while - we find there are complications. And while this is a heart affectation, it is not organic heart disturbance but rather that of a sympathetic nature; from complications.
5. Hence it will require patience, going slow, not overtaxing, plenty of rest - and yet the right sort of recreation.
6. These as we find are conditions in the present:
7. In the head, through a soft tissue in the antrum and sinus, there is an old disturbance that has been a great contributory cause to the stomach disorder. While there has been some disturbance that causes, or caused an unbalanced condition in the the gastric flow, we find that some congestion takes place through the alimentary canal as well as a stoppage - or a forming of swelling and of gas - in the lower portion of duodenum. This has also caused a tendency for a plethoric condition in the descending colon; and accumulations are indicated there.
8. This has made for pressures in the nerves of the hypogastrics. This pressure has caused that circulation between heart, liver and lungs, as combined with that to the lower portion, to produce the attack. It caused, then, a quickening of pulse, the acute condition, and the lack of circulation being coordinated between superficial and the cerebrospinal systems; producing a form of anemia to the superficial body, or superficial circulation, and quite an

alteration in the blood pressure. This tends to make for the lack of vitality, or pep, or the keeping of a normal balance through the body.
9. As we find, these would be the administrations:
10. First, rather regularly, once a week, for a period of ten or fifteen weeks, we would have the general hydrotherapy treatments; including not the dry cabinet sweats but a mild fume bath, and then a thorough rubdown - using an equal combination of Peanut Oil and Olive Oil. Such a massage would be slowly but gently done, deep, and sufficient to stimulate the superficial circulation.
11. Do occasionally, with such a hydrotherapy treatment, have a colonic irrigation irrigation; the frequency of which should be judged by the character of the discharge from the colon. It may be necessary for this to be very gently, very slowly given.
12. And watch the pulsation, especially during the first of these treatments.
13. Also, when these treatments are given, do apply over the face, the antrum and nasal passages, three to four thicknesses of gauze saturated in Glyco-Thymoline, warm; and then apply heat over same - this for ten to fifteen minutes. And then massage the area gently afterwards, see?
14. Night and morning use the nasal spray with warm Glyco-Thymoline, for the soft tissue in head and throat.
15. Do not take sedatives, if it is practical to keep away from same.
16. Keep good eliminations; this will be necessary.
17. In the diet - while there should not be taken those foods that are rough, of course, or that form too much bulk, - do take carrots, beets, raw vegetables, some of each of these each day, or some of their combinations. Use fish or fowl as the meats.
18. Do keep away from carbonated drinks, and especially, of course, from any fermented drinks.
19. Do take plenty of water at all times.
20. Then the recreation:
21. Keep in those atmospheres of a creative influence, of that which is good, that which brings recreation or change of thought, change of activity of the body.
22. And we will bring better conditions for this body, [2056].
23. Ready for questions.
24. (Q) What further may be done to correct and prevent itching piles? (A) As we find, if Tim would be used here - this applied after each stool - it will allay and heal the tissue.
2056-3 Page 3
Also when the colonics are given (though these will be at least six weeks apart) (though don't wait this long for the first one), we find that the application of Tim at such times will be helpful.
25. (Q) How may the small warts, which have resulted from the condition, be eliminated? (A) As we find, with these corrections and changes of circulation indicated, most of these should disappear. These are not true warts, but those of cellular tissue broken by the general strain and the form of astringent applied - which has been rather strong. Do those things suggested, and we will make better conditions for this body.
26. We are through with this Reading. Two copies to Self (one for Dr. H. J. Reilly, R.C.A. Bldg., 1250 Sixth Ave., N.Y.C.) Copy to Ass'n file (Tim, a local application for piles, may be ordered from The Appliance Co., Atten. A. M. Godfrey, 2709 Lafayette Blvd., Norfolk, Va., price $1.00. See circular [which was enclosed].) .)
