Time of Reading 10:50 to 10:55 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., N.Y.
1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes.
3. As we find, conditions here show a great improvement.
4. While there are still some congestions which arise in the system from the lack of proper eliminations, and the inclination for these toxic forces to produce tautness or stiffness in the extremities, we find that in the general manner the body is much improved.
5. As a laxative, we would have small doses occasionally of an equal combination of Syrup of Figs and Castoria - which as we find would be the more preferable as an eliminant; or small doses of these alternated, one taken one time, the other the next; as half a teaspoonful every thirty minutes during one whole day, or the like, occasionally.
6. For that fullness in throat and in nasal passages, and the obstruction which we find indicated in the nasal passage, we would use an antiseptic in the form of an inhalant. This had best be prepared in a container with a cork or stopper sufficiently large that two vents may be put into same, that both may be kept tightly corked when not in use. Prepare same in this way and manner:
7. To 4 ounces of at least 90% grain alcohol, in a 6 to 8 ounce container of the type indicated, add - in the order named: Oil of Eucalyptus................20 minims, Compound Tincture of Benzoin.....20 minims, Rectified Creosote................3 minims, Rectified Oil of Turp.............5 minims, Tolu in Solution.................30 minims.
8. Shake solution well when ready to be used. Remove both vents and inhale through the nasal passages, also through the mouth, into the throat and lungs; NOT swallowing the solution, but inhaling the fumes into the lungs.
9. These, with the general instructions as we have indicated
2077-3 Page 2
should keep the body on the improve, and make corrections for disturbances which exist in the present.
10. Ready for questions.
11. (Q) What should be done for a nervous condition in the throat which at times interferes with speech? (A) This should be relieved by the inhalant indicated, as combined with the producing of better eliminations.
12. We are through with this Reading. Copy to Self " " Ass'n file (See extra sheet [which was enclosed] of directions for druggist in preparing the inhalant.)
