1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at this time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also considering the environs and conditions surrounding the body, with suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes - been in this building before!
3. Now, as we find, many of the disturbing conditions are those which are the result of general debilitation, and the weakening of the vital forces which prevents the normal or better reactions.
4. The general age, of course, has much to do with the conditions; but as we find, many helpful influences may come, or be had, which will bring better conditions; easing the tensions as so oft caused by the pressures of poisons and toxic forces upon the general nervous system; relieving the tensions as to the pressures from gas and toxic forces upon the heart's activity, as well as the inabilities of the muscular forces and activities to react to the general strength of the body.
5. All of these, as we find, are the disturbing conditions through the system.
6. The effects of the activity in the limbs, or the inability of the strength, arise from neuritic conditions, or toxic forces.
7. As we find, in making applications - these had best be done by or through a trained nurse who is capable of giving the general massage, as well as an enema in such a way as not to be too greatly disturbing to the body. For these, as we find, (the enemas) should be given at least twice each week. The massages would also be given twice a week, the day before the enema, and should be given gently all over the body - coming from the upper portion of the system downward, along the cerebrospinal system. Or, if there are
2083-1 Page 2
times when the body becomes restless at night, these may be given more often (the massages) to quiet the body. To be sure, this should include not only the trunk portion of the body, as well as the abdomen and stomach area, but the limbs also; but always massaging towards the lower part and not towards the body, see? If massaging the lower limbs, go toward the feet. If massaging the arms, go towards the fingers, rather than from the fingers towards the body. For, while there is the slowness of the superficial circulation towards the body, this is also slowed towards the extremities - hence the feelings at times of the lightness or the tingling sensations through the extremities.
8. The next day after the massages, at least twice a week, give the enema to relieve the tension through the whole of the alimentary canal, relieving these disturbing conditions which arise from the formations of gas through the intestinal system, an the pressure of same upon not only the nerves of the general locomotory system but the shortness of breath and the pressures upon the heart's activity of the system. In giving the enema, a colon tube may be used; but this would gradually be used its full length, or gradually higher and higher - not used in the beginning. For, as indicated, this is a great deal of the trouble, and there should be the better controlling of eliminations than the taking of too much of violent cathartics, you see. Use a saline and soda solution for such enemas; that is, the proportions would be about a level teaspoonful of table salt and half a teaspoonful of baking soda, well dissolved in a quart and a half of water that is body-temperature. Of course, more water than this should be used later (that is, more than a quart and a half), though this would be sufficient at first - when these are gently given in the beginning.
9. Also, following such an enema, we would give an enema with a Glcyo-Thymoline solution - the proportions being a tablespoonful to the quart of body-temperature water for such a rinsing; that there may be the intestinal antiseptic reaction, so that there would be no activity that would cause the toxic forces or poisons to arise from same, owing to the laxness of the general eliminations.
10. Once or twice a day, after the heavier meal, or meals, we would also take internally a little ALCAROID; a third to half a teaspoonful (level, not heaping), first dissolved in a little water, and then the glass filled with water. Take plenty of water at the time, you see, as well as during the day. This is so that there may be the general eliminations
2083-1 Page 3
and the allaying of the fermentations by the slowness of assimilation through the alimentary canal.
11. The diets should be more of the liquid and the semi-liquid nature, rather than such as heavy meats. Plenty of vegetables and vegetable juices, both raw and cooked; also broths, but not too much of those that carry a large quantity of grease. Fats should be better eliminated, than to have too much of these.
12. The Radio-Active Appliance will aid in quieting the nerves, as well as in producing a better rest and an equalization of the circulation throughout the system. Use this at least an hour every day, and preferably in the evening before the body is ready to retire, or after it has gotten ready for retiring.
13. Also we find that the use of the Alpine Ray Light, a long distance from the body, will be most beneficial.
14. Not too great an activity, but the general exercise, and a little walking, is well for the body - as it is able.
15. These as we find, if they are done consistently and persistently, will bring the better conditions, creating a better outlook and a hopefulness for the body.
16. And the one making such applications should do so not just as a matter of fact, but purposefully - as for the creating of an environment of hopefulness throughout.
17. Ready for questions.
18. (Q) What is her heart condition at the present time? (A) As indicated, this is more of a sympathetic nature, from nerve and gas pressures, than from an organic disturbance.
19. (Q) What causes the condition to legs and arms and hands? (A) As just indicated. Read what has just been indicated, - it's the slowed circulation. Do as has been outlined, if we would bring the better conditions for this body.
20. We are through for the present.
