1. GC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2146].
3. Now as we find, there are disturbing conditions which prevent the better physical functioning of the body.
4. We find that these have to do with conditions which have existed in a much more violent form than in the present, but arose from seepage through thinning of the walls of the arterial circulation.
5. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [2146] we are speaking of, present in this room:
6. In the blood supply we find there are indications of hindrances having existed, and deflections existing in the present, especially in the circulation to the lower portions of the body - from the lower portion of the 9th dorsal to the lower extremities; especially on the left side and thus AFFECTING more the extremities upon the opposite side, where the cross circulation is deflected.
7. This condition in the blood stream indicates there is the lack of elements of some characters, and the inclination at times towards excesses of other natures; that is - in the plasm and hormones of the blood, these falter and break in cellular force without producing the direct healing forces of the body, and at other times they build toward a better circulation being undertaken.
8. Through the conditions which caused this we will see the cause, the nature, and that as may correct much of this disturbance.
9. In the nerve system - here, while there is not as great disturbance as there has been existent, there are still those pressures which hinder the activity of the
2146-1 Page 2
locomotories.
10. As has been indicated, the body is most fortunate in that the break or seepage occurred in the areas it did, or that portion of circulation going away from the heart and from the nerve impulses and circulation to the head; else this might have become so static as to have caused lesions, or clots, which would have prevented this from ever being removed, for - by the cellular forces breaking again - there would be a recurrence of the condition that would upset the heart's activity, the reflexes from brain's impulse to the superficial or sympathetic circulation, and thus prevent the regaining of a better control of the locomotory forces.
11. But, as we find, the pressure existent is more upon the trunk portion of the nerves in those areas of the brush end of the cerebrospinal system. Hence gradually, with this change of the plasm, there has come a return of the reflexes in upper portions, or from the waist upward - or to the arms and the upper part of the body, so that these are much improved; while there has not been sufficient of a dissolving, or sufficient ability of the slowed circulation to remove the drosses or ash from the system left from energies used by the body, to allow as much improvement to the lower portion and through the locomotories and areas which indicate the disturbance in the present.
12. Thus, while there is sensation and activity through the sciatic center, and through the locomotories, these are still hindered by the pressure upon the central portion. Being superficial or sympathetic has not allowed the producing of that of the nature as to become static in itself.
13. However, the nerve system is involved, and from the very nature and position, some conditions and pressures upon the glandular system, or center above the kidneys, cause some deflection there. And THIS is the cause or the source of the tenderness, the jerking which occurs at times - these being reflexes from the activity of those glandular centers.
14. As this gland is directly responsible for the activity of certain portions of the assimilating system, the body - in its attempt to assimilate - has become allergic to some conditions (that ordinarily agreed with the body) which would act upon the very influences or forces of the body.
15. We find it is of those natures ordinarily termed as being associated with the reproduction, or the cellular force that aids in the dividing of the plasm in the flow of the blood itself; that is, the lymph - as well as the leucocyte, as well as parts of the hemoglobin activity of the blood supply.
2146-1 Page 3
16. Hence the condition as indicated where at times the plasms are broken and at other times there is received a better or fuller impulse.
17. Then, the effect upon the organs of the body:
18. Brain forces and their reflexes are very good.
19. The sympathetic reflexes - as to the muscles and nerves - at times through the vagus center or the nerve system from the SYMPATHETIC nerve forces of the sensory organism - respond in a spasmodic manner at times; from those very conditions which have been indicated. This is a sympathetic condition, and not one to be alarmed or anxious about.
20. In the organs of the sensory system, as the taste, sight, hearing, feeling, voice, and reflexes to the sensory forces - these we find become at times rather acute. While there may be periods when there is a dullness, the effect upon the central nervous system and its reflex upon the sympathetic nerve system, from the very nature of the disturbances indicated in the areas, is to cause the imaginative or sympathetic or sensory system to become MORE or SUPERSENSITIVE.
21. Hence the environs, the reflexes, the impulses which arise from associations of activities, conditions or environs, have an ACUTE and a definite reaction upon the impulses and desires and natures of activities of the body, - both as to organic functioning AND the mental and sympathetic reactions as well.
22. All of these, then, are to be taken into consideration, as those things are applied which, as we find, may relieve the condition almost entirely, and eventually make for near normal forces with the body.
23. In the heart, liver and lungs - as indicated, from the very position of the cellular force breaking - and this is what is meant by the thinning of the walls of the areas through which the blood stream passed, owing to the overtaxation, the long hours, the activities in which the body DROVE itself and taxed the system - so that the pressures brought on the seepage through the walls, involving the central nervous system - we find that there has been caused in the heart's reflex between liver, lungs and heart, a fast activity or overflow, in the attempt to keep the equilibrium through the system.
24. This, through the reducing of the plasm, has been materially aided. Yet this weakness, or this inclination - as it is in the present - is for this to fill, and is still indicated.
25. Thus, when there are applications for relief, this must
2146-1 Page 4
be taken into consideration.
26. In the assimilation or digestion - here we find much improvement has come about, because there is a better or more nominal reaction in the chemical or the digestive fluids; that is, a better balance between the acids and the alkalines in the upper digestive force.
27. But, because of the position and the glandular disturbance in the adrenals, we find caused at times a form of indigestion through the jejunum - and it becomes rather as an uneasiness, than as acute pain; and it may pass off at times, or at others cause a sluggishness in all of the reflexes. This is a sympathetic condition, as we find - and with the application of elements and forces to correct same, there will become much nearer normal conditions.
28. In the activities of the hepatic circulation - that is; liver, pancreas, spleen and kidneys, and especially the lower portion of the hepatics - or the kidneys - because of the very position, these become at times irregular, though not a condition that is other than sympathetic - when considered organically. Functionally, as indicated, the position of same is affected. Not a growth, not in the form of a sac, but as an engorgement in the venous forces, or circulatory system, caused this disturbance in the sympathetic circulation, and finds expressions in the nerves or muscles; or the tissue of face, neck, head at times.
29. These as we find, though, will respond with the applications we will indicate, which will make for an equal balance in the body.
30. Then, in making applications that will aid in stimulating a greater normal flow, a greater activity for the better use, and to bring normalcy for the body:
31. First - keep in the open as much as practical. Keep in that environ in which there is the company of one that is not always - as would be said - a "Yes" companion, but one in whom there is sympathy, friendship, and the activities in which there is the feeling of a unison of ideas. Such should be the environment - and in the open as much as practical.
32. Begin first with the use of the low electrical vibrations from the Wet Cell Appliance, carrying one day the Chloride of Gold and the next day the Spirits of Camphor, - these to be taken only VIBRATORIALLY, with the application of the low electrical forces of a static nature - or those chemically produced.
33. When the Gold Solution is used (in the proportions of one grain Chloride of Gold to one ounce of Distilled Water), the small copper plate would be attached to the lower
2146-1 Page 5
portion of the 9th dorsal, or the 9th and 10th dorsal center; while the nickel plate (the larger), through which the vibrations of the Gold Solution would pass, would be attached to the umbilical and lacteal duct plexus - so that the EFFECT of the chemical is upon the assimilating system, and to work upon the glandular forces that are disturbed, creating in the plasm of the lymph AND blood, that of nerve tissue with impulses in same - or to aid in stimulating such activity.
34. The next day when the Spirits of Camphor is used (commercial strength), the small plate would be attached to the lumbar, or the locomotory center, see? while the larger nickel plate would again be attached to the lacteal duct and the umbilical plexus. But the activity of this, through the small copper plate, is to cause a healing, or to prevent that splitting as it were of the plasm, which will also be corrected by the use of the Gold vibrations on opposite days, see?
35. This Appliance would be attached each day for thirty minutes in the beginning, one Solution used one day, the other the next day, and so on.
36. About twice a week have a gentle but thorough massage, osteopathically administered; but massaging directly into the body at the same time an equal combination of Olive Oil and Peanut Oil. The absorption of this by the system, through the massaging, will enter through the lymph to aid in reducing the tendency of disturbances to other portions of the body. Also the adjustments or deep massage at the same time will cause the relaxations so that the body-drainages will be set up to cause better eliminations; not only then removing the hindering conditions, but assisting the system - or nature - to rebuild and replenish. This, of course, is to extend over the lower portion of the body especially - or from the 4th or 5th dorsal downward, including the locomotory centers, those under the knee, and especially the bursa of the feet.
37. These do.
38. Now, the diets: Here - we find this has much to do with the general building up of the body. By practice or trial, we might say, the body has found much of what agrees better with the body. But, keep away from meats, of course; that is, rare meats. Fish, fowl and lamb are preferable when meats are to be used at all. Have plenty of citrus fruit juices, but do not attempt to take orange juice alone, - always put a little lemon is same, as well as in pineapple juice or other juices; these are preferable with a little lemon in same.
2146-1 Page 6
39. Do these, and we will bring the near to normal conditions for this body.
40. Ready for questions.
41. (Q) Any special one you would suggest to give the massage? (A) Anyone who will give it, but give it AS suggested! Unless he will give the massage with the oils, then get some other one! Do this, and we will find the better forces.
42. We are through for the present. Two copies to Self (one for brother in Washington) Copy to Ass'n file (See article [which was enclosed] explaining the theory of the Wet Cell Appliance. See extra sheet of directions [which was enclosed] for Osteopath. The following osteopaths in Norfolk have followed suggestions in Readings and gotten good results by doing so: Dr. M. L. Richardson, Bankers Trust Bldg.; Dr. Curtis Hudgins, Bankers Trust Bldg; Dr. C. W. Irvin, Bankers Trust Bldg.
