1. GC: You will have before you [2153] present in this house. Please review her case, tell us what conditions you now find, what improvements the body has undergone, and what the next steps are to further improve the body. You will answer the questions which will be asked:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2153]; this we have had before.
3. As we find, there are improvements in the general physical forces of the body.
4. In the reviewing of same, much of that which has been indicated - as to the sources and causes of the disturbance - should be taken into consideration; then the effects of those administrations that have been suggested and that have been made; as to what they each were for, and as to what has been accomplished - which should indicate the improvements; and then that outlined as will be necessary for the eradication of the causes that produce the disturbances here.
5. As indicated, the adhesions in those areas about the lacteals - because of certain pressures brought about in the system - prevent the coordination between sympathetic and cerebrospinal system; causing the spasmodic reactions in those activities of the body itself.
6. Those administrations of the Castor Oil Packs are gradually lessening, and will if adhered to, the tension in the areas indicated.
7. Also the osteopathic adjustments and manipulations are to coordinate this new activity of the system in such a manner as to bring cooperative functioning and reactions throughout the body.
8. Those properties in the passion flower compound were given for a reaction, and have had definite effect upon the body. The reaction of these is to the pyloric and the activities of the glandular systems within the functioning of the lacteals, about the gall duct area itself. These
2153-6 Page 2
have apparently produced greater spasmodic frequency. This was to be expected, when there have been those activities under the sedatives to allay same. For, these are as two natures within the system warring one against another; both active upon the same atomic influences within the activity of this portion of the body itself.
9. We find that these properties in the compound have completed their activity. These are to be left off entirely in the future - unless such conditions arise as to necessitate same, which may occur, should there not be broken up entirely this activity in the plasm of the functioning of this glandular system, in the lacteal or net center here. Then, these may be indicated later; but discontinue same at present - the Mayblossom Bitters, see? These have accomplished the pressures in the way and manner expected, and are not then indicated as being needed in the present.
10. Then, there ARE the needs for the specific applications of the mechanical (osteopathic) adjustments to those centers from which those areas receive their impulse, to assist this activity in assuming normal reflexes under all areas or conditions.
11. Also it is indicated that special adjustments are needed of specific natures and characters to regulate those activities of the eliminating system as related to the Periods, or the genital activities of the bodily forces themselves.
12. If these are then adhered to, as we find, we should see improvements coming that will alleviate the causes and the sources of the disturbances, and gradually bring about the better physical, mental reactions for the body.
13. We would adhere to these, then, in the present:
14. Each period before the osteopathic adjustments are to be made, apply the Castor Oil Packs over the liver, the lacteal duct, the caecum area; letting these extend a little farther over the cerebrospinal area - toward the back. While the body should lie upon the back, or the right side, these should extend almost AROUND the body, you see - the Packs, - so that the whole area to be relaxed by the osteopathic adjustments may be so relaxed as to be the more easily adjusted.
15. Then, for specific instructions or directions in making the adjustments, or the movements and pressures on those segments from which impulses arise to coordinate activities with the cerebrospinal and the sympathetic impulse through which the disturbance gives manifestation in the spasmodic reaction:
2153-6 Page 3
16. Treat more with the body lying upon its face, with the hands above the head - the area in the dorsals, from the 4th to the 9th; first one side, then the other, of the cerebrospinal system. Not so much adjustments in this area as stimulating the activities of the body itself.
17. Then, with the body upon the left side, with the limb drawn high up, treat the 7th and 8th dorsal upon the LEFT side, with the left hand of the manipulator keeping in touch with those reactions in the right area about the lacteal duct - or that below the rib and to that area of the gall duct center. This will indicate to the operator the taut areas that are to gradually be broken up.
18. Now: After this adjustment or relaxing - with the body upon the back, the feet drawn up - gently knead that area about the liver, the gall duct, and extending even to the caecum; gradually breaking up this tension that has been seen or felt in this area by the movements from the left side of the body.
19. After THIS application, then have the body on the RIGHT side, with the right limb drawn high, hands above the head - on both sides, to be sure - and treat those areas from the lumbar to the 7th dorsal, especially on the right and left areas of the cerebrospinal system, for the activity of the coordinating of the genital system to the activity created in the lacteal duct AND caecum area.
20. These are the manners of conditions existent, as we find, and the modes for the helpful applications according to the present needs.
21. Still be mindful respecting the diet.
22. Still be mindful as to the attitudes about the body; keeping helpful influences to bring cheery, hopeful, expectant activities. Build with the body, in its associations, those things it expects to attain to in the development of its activity through its mental and spiritual relationships and physical activities with others.
23. Keep each evening a pinch of salt - iodized salt; this given before retiring, or at the time of retiring. This will add to the system the necessary elements for glandular activity. Not too much, but a pinch between finger and thumb. If the body asks for more, give it - not enough to cause a thinning of the blood; for we are stimulating for greater activity in this direction. Not only will it aid in the periods as to the flow, but the regularity of same will be brought about, as well as the alleviation of those conditions brought about by injury and the high temperature as produced, with the general conditions of prenatal natures and first causes to the body.

24. Ready for questions.
25. (Q) Why are hands and feet so cold all the time? (A) Circulation! And this has been taken into consideration in the suggestions for the mechanical adjustments or stimulation - as to the circulatory forces from the dorsal areas, for the brachial center, and from the lumbar area to the lower limbs.
26. (Q) Is there anything not being given correctly, - either the osteopathic or the home treatments? (A) There have been changes indicated here, as to corrections to be made in both of these.
27. (Q) Would colonics be of help? (A) These as we find might be of help, but are not indicated in the immediate. This depends upon what is found in regard to the tensions in the caecum and the lacteal duct areas upon the right side. If there is the filling, or pressure found in portions of the caecum and colon area, a colonic would be advisable. This will be found at times; but the greater tension as will be found is not only from the tensions - or the positions, but the tensions in the activity of the lymph and emunctiory circulation through the jejunum and colon in the right area of the body.
28. (Q) Why are the menstrual periods irregular? (A) This, again, is a matter of the circulation and the adjusting of the bodily functions from the glandular forces of the whole system to the activity of such periods. The adjustments and manipulations as indicated are for these specific disturbances; as also the purifying of the glands by the use of iodized salt.
29. (Q) Will the establishment of regular menstrual periods help clear up the condition present? (A) It will help clear up the condition present.
30. (Q) Is there any other way to assist nature in establishing the proper menstrual periods? (A) To be sure, there are other ways, but - while this may be a bit slower, it is safer, surer, and will establish same correctly.
31. (Q) Should she avoid excitement, such as motion pictures, crowds, radio, public places, etc? (A) This depends upon the temperament. There are times when such are needed for the body temperament. Do not force these upon the body, but let them be the natural consequences of those things sought for the entertainment, as well as the general association that is brought to the environs, or to be environs of the body at such times.
32. (Q) How should she govern her activities? (A) These should be kept just as near normal as is
2153-6 Page 5
practical or possible.
33. (Q) Why have the attacks occurred mostly during her sleeping hours, and just before arising in the morning? (A) Read just what has been indicated, as to the effect of those properties as were indicated, and what they act upon as from the anatomical structure of the body! These are functionings that are a portion of the activities of the body through such periods of relaxation in sleep, and now it has been brought to be a part of these outward experiences.
34. (Q) What signs can her parents have that will indicate to them that she is improving rather than retarding? (A) What has been indicated should be sufficient evidence that there are improvements, and that there are those various stages through which the body must pass. This disturbance has been a gradual growth and development, and it must necessarily be alleviated in the same manner. To be sure - if such chances are desired to be taken, - this MIGHT be eliminated SUDDENLY through operative measures, but SUCH would take away from the body the abilities to function in and through those channels that SHOULD be a part of the birthright of this body. For, as has been indicated for the body, not only in the physical reactions but in its life's span, THIS should be a developing period for ALL - through the administrations made, in PATIENCE - yea, in anxiety and suffering; meeting those things that are a part of the consciousness of each.
35. (Q) Does the mother's attitude, or hesitance in full belief as to the ultimate cure of the child, retard the treatment in any way? (A) This can best be answered by the mother. For, the body is very sensitive, and grasps and gathers the attitudes of everyone about the body; the anxiety as well as the doubts and fears.
36. (Q) Is there any special attitude the mother can take that will help the body recover quickly, and completely? (A) DO NOT be inconsistent, nor be too overanxious, or ASSUME attitudes not conscientiously felt.
37. (Q) Should there be any additional properties or applications at this time? (A) Only those as we have indicated. It is necessary at times, to be sure, for those properties (the phenobarbital) as felt needed, but gradually keep as far away from these as circumstances and conditions permit.
38. (Q) Should her diet be changed in any way?
2153-6 Page 6
(A) We would not change diet, as has been indicated. Be rather consistent with these.
39. (Q) Is one slice of bread at each meal too much, or how much should she be allowed in her diet? and what kind of bread is best? (A) Pumpernickel, or the brown bread, or the like - these are the preferable; and at times let the body have whatever she would desire. Most of the time one slice will be sufficient.
40. (Q) Is the present attendant the proper person to have with her most of the time? (A) This can best be answered by the individual entity itself. Do not have those things that aggravate, though DO have those that are ever constructive about the body.
41. (Q) Is chewing gum harmful to her? (A) No.
42. (Q) Are osteopathic treatments still necessary, after the first six week period? (A) They are necessary until those conditions that have been indicated have been alleviated!
43. (Q) Would it not be better to continue the treatments in N.Y. with Dobbins, rather than to make the change of 3 to 4 weeks going home and returning to Dobbins? (A) There are the needs for the periods of relaxation; that is, allowing the body to ADJUST itself. That which can be helpful can also be overdone. When these applications are adhered to consistently, we will see that the manner as we have outlined is the better. Make these specific movements as indicated here, for the next six week period, you see; then have a period of rest from same.
44. (Q) Would it be satisfactory to continue - (A) (Interrupting) You see, it is not that there are just so many treatments to be given and they can all be gotten through with and that's all there is to it! NO application of ANY medicinal property or any mechanical adjustment, or any other influence, is healing of itself! These applications merely help to attune, adjust, correlate the activities of the bodily functions to nature and natural sources! All healing, then, is from life! Life is God! It is the adjusting of the forces that are manifested in the individual body. These directions as we have indicated take these conditions into consideration.
2153-6 Page 7
Then, there must be periods of reaction of the bodily forces, the bodily functionings, the bodily response to influences without and within; and then the necessary attuning again and again. The BODY is a pattern, it is an ensample of all the forces of the universe itself. If all the rain that is helpful for the production of any element came at once, would it be better? If all the sunshine came at once, would it be better? If all the joy, all the sadness in the life experience of an individual were poured out at once, would it be better? It is the cooperation, the reaction, the response made BY the individual that is sought. Know that the soul-entity must find in the applications that response which attunes its abilities, its hopes, its desires, its purposes to that universal consciousness. THAT is the healing - of any nature! Hence we find that no ONE of the many missions of man in a material world may fill the needs of every individual. For, they each have their responses, their reactions. It is the ATTUNING that is necessary, by whatever method needed to accomplish same, whether operation or any other method to eradicate that it has assumed of whatever nature. But ATTUNE the body!
