Time of Reading 4:10 to 4:25 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. New York City.
1. GC: You will give the physical condition of this body at the present time, with suggestions for further corrective measures; answering the questions, as I ask them:
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2153].
3. As we find, while conditions are apparently slow - as we have indicated - DEFINITE changes are taking place. As we see from the physical reactions, the seizures arise now - the greater part - during the rest periods.
4. Then, there needs be used this as a channel of change of expectancy in the attitude of those ABOUT the entity as RESPECTING the final outcomes - as relief from the disturbing conditions, see?
5. For, this has been touched upon before - that there is to be a healing ALSO in the minds and purposes of those upon whom the body is dependent in the present for the seeking FOR corrections in a spiritual and mental manner; that the physical expression may be the greater channel for manifestation of the spiritual laws.
6. As to the applications - let's continue especially with the Castor Oil Packs; that there may also be that breaking up that is sought of the lesions and adhesions in the lacteal duct and the caecum areas. Do not apply the Oil Packs during the menstrual period, but at all times otherwise - on the days upon which the osteopathic adjustments are made, give the Packs at least an hour to an hour and a half BEFORE the adjustments are to be made.
7. Hence, when the general treatments are given - that is, the osteopathic adjustments - the lacteal duct area should receive specific attention; where these lesions or adhesions are to be broken up, you see.
8. We would not give the adjustments either, then, during the menstrual period. But at other periods, let's have these in series of six weeks and a rest period of ten days or the like, and then another series.
9. If there is the desire on the part of the body to return home, then have the instructions from the one now making the
2153-7 Page 2
adjustments TO that one who would be called upon to make same in the home environ.
10. As we find, it is - and should be - a part of the treatments, ever, to change the scenes of activity about the body and for the body, as the conditions are helped. For, while making the changes, the body will find the specific or any one environ becoming at times as a drain upon its nerve energy, see?
11. Do that, then.
12. Ready for questions.
13. (Q) What definite and specific change has taken place in the body since August 31, 1940, on which date the Reading disclosed, (A) (interrupting) As indicated. Read that last given as concerning this, as well as this given here respecting same; that this is as much the deeper mental attitude arising FROM the EXPERIENCES of the body that is part of the disturbance, see? Then, this indicates the general PHYSICAL condition is improved; but that there must be kept this same attitude and this constant development for better expression from the physical to the mental and the spiritual, as well as the attitudes of THOSE ABOUT THE BODY; leaving off doubt and fear; and there will be brought aid.
14. (Q) Advise if it will be helpful to eliminate the small doses of phenobarbital and substitute Dilantin, discovered by Dr. Merritt of Boston. If Dilantin is satisfactory, how much of it should be taken and how often? (A) Dilantin will be helpful here, but DON'T GIVE IT TOO OFTEN! The dosage should be under the direction of the one who discovered same, or a physician who might administer same. But just consider it in the light of that given here. Reduce the dose. Rather than the maximum dose, give the minimum. See?
15. (Q) Advise what ill effects in the body, if any, has the following types of food: Turkey? (A) If not with the fats, this is beneficial.
16. (Q) Broiled lobster? (A) This is very good, for the iodine in same is excellent for body. ALL sea foods are beneficial at the present, if not OVERINDULGED in.
17. (Q) Stewed fruits? (A) This depends upon the character taken. Pears, peaches and such would be helpful, but some others are not so well.
18. (Q) What types of foods are injurious to the body and which should be eliminated? (A) Those that are acid-producing within the system itself.
19. (Q) Is milk helpful to the body? If so, how much of it
2153-7 Page 3
should be consumed per day? (A) Milk that is not of the animal so much, is helpful; that is, the prepared milks. Though they are not as palatable to the body, they are better for the body. As to how much - this would be governed according to the appetites, rather than a set rule.
20. (Q) Is cheese good for the body and if so what types should be avoided if any? (A) Those that are not too much of the cheddar nature, and that are easily assimilated, are good for the body.
21. (Q) Does the present condition of the body show an improvement over that indicated before? (A) Considering all of these things that have been indicated - know that it is not wholly an individual problem, but it is a part of the whole. As we find indicated, if the attitudes and aptitudes are kept in accord with that indicated for those about the entity, and there are the applications of those conditions given, the body will recover entirely from these disturbances. Then, in counsel to those about the entity: Do not allow doubt and fear to enter in. KNOW the source of all that is good. KNOW that there is the power within the body to associate the ideas, the purposes, the desires, with the Infinite, to make it whole within; and this includes those about the body.
22. We are through for the present. Copy to Mr. [2345] " " Mrs. [2344] " " Ass'n file [12/7/40 GD's note: See extra sheet [which was enclosed] for Dr. Dobbins. See an alkalin-reacting diet list [which was enclosed] which may be of help, as it lists the type foods that are alkalin-producing and the type that are acid-producing.] ducing.]
