Time of Reading 10:55 to 11:20 A. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., New York.
1. HLC: You will go over this body carefully, examine it thoroughly, and tell me the conditions you find at the present time; giving the cause of the existing conditions, also suggestions for help and relief of this body. You will answer the questions, as I ask them, regarding her condition.
2. EC: Yes, we have the body here, [2171].
3. Now, as we find, while there are some disturbances in the physical functioning of the organs of the body, the suggestions here would be rather in the form of warnings, - as to what these might lead to, or bring about; rather than giving that there is any great deficiency existing in the present.
4. While those conditions at times in the present bring disturbances, and anxieties in the physical forces, they have not as yet become so exaggerated, or have not so taken hold upon those portions of the body being affected, as to cause other than some little feelings of anxiety - and the disturbances in the superficial circulation, or blemishes that occur.
5. The effect is from the glandular forces of the body.
6. These, then, are conditions as we find them with this body, [2171] we are speaking of:
7. In the blood supply we find, owing to the disturbances in the manners in which eliminations are affected, there is the inactivity of glandular forces so as to prevent the proper coordinations in elimination.
8. Hence we find there are those conditions which are lacking, in the certain vitamins, in the chemistry of the bodily functionings. And this being affected through the glandular forces may cause other disturbances of natures as to become much more deep-seated, and in some respects might become a constitutional disturbance. For, because of the
2171-1 Page 2
glandular reactions arising from this lack of certain elements needed, other organs might become involved.
9. These are only sympathetically affected in the present, as indicated from the manner in which there are affectations at times to the Periods and THEIR activity upon the system.
10. Also those conditions arising from the glands affected, - as the thyroid and the adrenal - begin to be a source of this disturbance.
11. In the nerve forces of the body - here we find the conditions - through pressures, or the affectation of centers through which impulses are received from the cerebrospinal system to the functioning of these glands, as related to assimilation - show some periods of agitation. Hence the body at times becomes easily overtaxed - in that it becomes supersensitive to conditions, to the manners of speech from others, or to the little things that in the normal flow would NOT be irritating to the general nervous system.
12. This, too - unless corrections are made - might become a source of anxiety to the body.
13. As to the functioning of the organs - we find that the brain forces and brain reflexes, activities of the sympathetic system, only at times become affected through the sensory forces; as indicated through the sense of perception, owing to the nervous reaction received. However, we find that the organs generally are near normal.
14. Throat, bronchi, lungs and larynx are very good.
15. The heart's activity shows no organic nor even sympathetic reaction, save at periods of nerve forces when there would be a quickening of the pulsation.
16. In the digestive forces - here, as indicated in the assimilating system, a disturbance arises from the two MAIN conditions which we find are a portion of the disturbance; though the liver and its functionings we find very good, considering general conditions.
17. Pancreas, spleen and the activities of the lower hepatic circulation in most periods are very good.
18. Then, in making administration of those things which as we find would be the more beneficial - there should be some alterations in the diet, and the administration of compounds carrying those properties to stimulate activity of these forces in the glandular system, as combined with the specific character of exercises or massages as to be the most helpful for the body.
19. First, then - we would begin with the hydrotherapy treatments; including a very LIGHT Sweat, followed by a massage (by mechanical manipulation) with special reference
2171-1 Page 3
to the centers in the area from the 4th lumbar to the 9th dorsal; from the 2nd dorsal to the base of the brain. These would be the specific areas. The massage should be in a circular motion; not so much the adjustments, but the stimulating of ganglia that there may be better coordinating activities.
20. These at first would be taken twice each week for three weeks. Then they may be lengthened to every ten days or the like.
21. Begin at the same period to take small doses of Tonicine - for the active forces of this is to the thyroid, as well as to create a better metabolism through the system; especially in relationships to activities of all eliminations - which will also be stimulated by the massage through a better activity of the glands as related to assimilating properties from the foods to create a better normal balance. The dosage is indicated upon the container, but take only about half the dosage as indicated.
22. Then the diet:
23. Have a great deal of citrus fruit juices. With same there may be taken toast and other foods, except DO NOT take cereals at the same meal when the citrus fruits are taken, either the dry or cooked.
24. At least once or twice each week have the whole wheat (crushed or rolled) as the cereal - this cooked a long time - that there may be more of the iron, sulphur, and the vitamins arising from this; especially B-1, as an aid in the circulatory forces of the body.
25. All forms of carbonated waters, or any form of malt or spiritus drinks, should be eliminated from the system. These tend to irritate those very conditions that are a part of the assimilation.
26. The combination of vitamins found in ADIRON should be taken; one pellet each day with the heavier meal. Whether this is the evening, noon or morning meal, take it at the time the heavier meal of the day is taken.
27. Also we would take small quantities, about two minims every other day, of Whole Wheat Oil. The Squibb's Germ Wheat Oil will be satisfactory, and if this is used, the quantity in one of the pellets is about correct - but this taken only every other day. Take it for two weeks, leave off a week; then take it for another two weeks, leave off a week; then take for another two weeks, and so on. This activity will be as an aid to the stimulating of the glands as they are aided by the purifying of same through the massage and the sweats.
28. Doing these, we will find that those blemishes on face

or hands, those periods of anxiety, those actions through the eliminating forces in the Periods, will be brought to a near normal reaction; and we will find much bettered conditions for this body, [2171].
29. Ready for questions.
30. (Q) Would you recommend a high enema, and would this be safe if the body were pregnant? (A) If this is done by the one who gives the massage, it will be correct.
31. We are through for the present. Two copies to mother - Special Delivery Copy to Ass'n file (See extra sheet of directions [which were enclosed] for hydrotherapist. We would refer you to: The Reilly Service, Atten. Dr. H. J. Reilly, R.C.A. Bldg., New York City.) ew York City.)
