This Psychic Reading given by Edgar Cayce at his home on Arctic Crescent, Virginia Beach, Va., this 15th day of March, 1941, in accordance with request made by the self - Mrs. [2174], Associate Member of the Ass''n for Research & Enlightenment, Inc.

R E A D I N G

Time of Reading 3:30 to 4:10 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. ..., Conn.

1. GC: You will have before you the entity [2174], present in this room, who seeks a continuation of her mental and spiritual Reading begun on January 29, 1941, that from the circle which is her life's seal there may radiate those thoughts, feelings and actions which serve His purpose with the children of men in these difficult times. You will continue this discourse and answer the questions which she submits.

2. EC: Yes, we have the entity here, [2174]; with the information which has been given through these sources.

3. In continuing with that indicated - the seal is to be put into practical, everyday application; ministering in those manners given to those with whom the entity comes in contact - every day, in every way.

4. Considering the problems of the times, and those that are a portion of the entity's experience - each entity - as this entity - has a part to play, as it were, in meeting those varied problems that are arising; not only in the minds and experiences of those who are as companions, associates, friends, but - with this entity - in the lives and activities of many who are to be the leaders, the instructors, the guiding lights for the future generations. For, it is such groups who adhere to those tenets, those principles as have been indicated in that given, that are to lead peoples - everywhere - to the knowledge of the closeness, the oneness as may be attained in so doing.

5. There are those activities that will bring such awarenesses, by the own force and power of might as set in motion by all the characters of influences that go to make up those problems and activities of the entity.

6. Yet with that singleness of purpose which has prompted those activities in the past, there will open many a door for the sustaining help - in the mental as well as in the material ways.

7. Such help, as we find, comes by the very sincerity of purpose; which, as has been indicated, is given and IS activative in the life of this entity.

8. The circle indicates that oneness, that completeness, that full appreciation of all the varied aspects of experiences in the lives of individuals.

9. Hold to that knowledge that life in all its aspects is a manifestation of the Father's love for His children who SEEK His face.

10. "Seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened unto thee" is not merely an axiom, a saying, but it is an experience that may be the knowledge, the wisdom, the understanding of those who oft put themselves into His keeping, His direction, and are guided thereby; being guarded in all things day by day.

11. Ready for questions.

12. (Q) Please advise how I may better, through analysis, free myself as a channel? (A) This may be done in many ways. But these as we find are the better manners of expression: Analyze self as to purposes, as to intents - as in comparison with that for which He came into the earth. For, each entity - and this in particular - must find, even as He, that in the doing for others there comes the answer to the problems for self; in every direction. For, as has been given, though He were the Son - even He learned obedience. So may we, each, as individuals, gain the better understanding, the better way of material and mental application, by that study of self in relationships to our purposes, our intents being in keeping with that manifested by Him. As was given of old, if He had not come, many would not have known sin; yea, none would have known sin. If He had not come, many would not have known - yea, none - complete righteousness. So we each in our lives bring those problems in the experiences of those we meet day by day; thus forming that pattern, that activity in the lives of others, that brings the complete awareness of each soul's ability to be in at-onement with Him. Thus atonement, at-onement, attunement become as one in

intent, in purpose, in desire, in activity.

13. (Q) Regarding the imminent and ever present school problem, where many people are looking to me for their security and future - why do I meet block after block? (A) In analyzing that which has just been given; as to how self has ever present the awareness of that which is the problem, and that which is truth. So, in undertakings in the material ways, the same pattern is found ever present - and the same angle of experiences. These activities as we find MUST go on. As given in the parlance of some, "the show MUST go on." Not that due consideration is not to be given to all the problems - materially, financially, socially, and the problems of those who because of one reason or another have reached those stages of their OWN development where they become hangers-on rather than boosters or helpers, or props, or securities in any sense - but seek among those who have been associated with the environs of the school building - or properties themselves - for the MATERIAL aid that would lessen the burdens of material possibilities and material conditions in the present. Not that the responsibility of the entity would be lessened, but rather let LOOSE of those conditions that are building the blocks in the carrying on among some of the associates and assistants. To be sure, at the moment - or at first, this appears to be a disabusing of the policies that have been a part of the entity thus far. But these are periods when all must cooperate in meeting the emergencies that arise in the experiences of the many. And this will not only gradually release for self but for others that which has been, to some of them, a stumblingblock in THEIR inner self.

14. (Q) Is there anything more that I can or should do which will bring the necessary funds to assure the faculty of the ... School of a continuance of activity next year? (A) Through the channels just indicated there may be reached broader fields.

15. (Q) Can you make this just a little clearer to me? (A) As this is analyzed, the entity will be aware of the individuals referred to; not merely the family - or of the

individuals now a part of the school problem, but those families TO whom, THROUGH whom, the place, the grounds have meant much - and did mean much.

16. (Q) As indicated in my Reading of April 1940, abundant funds for the school would come within the year. What is the block which has prevented this coming about, and what may I do to open the way? (A) Making the needs known!

17. (Q) The problem of working with [...] [Miss [...]] in the ... School is becoming increasingly difficult. Please advise me in detail just how I may best handle this situation? (A) As has been indicated, this must be taken into due consideration. And with the supplying of funds through channels as may become a part of the whole activity, there will come answers as to how best to meet this problem.

18. (Q) Please advise me how I may help to save those things which are good in the group that now forms the ... School. (A) By putting into daily practice those principles that hold or bind them together in relationships to conditions about each of the groups, see? This has been more in the order of one dependent upon another, and another upon the group; and not altogether made applicable in daily associations in OTHER connections, see?

19. (Q) Is my mind too busy to "think through" what my heart should understand? (A) No. It is rather a matter of putting the stress on the various problems in their order, see?

20. (Q) Is my lack of definite decision due to my desire to have my son [...] finish in his present school picture? (A) No; rather the confusion as to what others are beginning to think and say. Of course, these are conditions that are to be passed over; not passed by. For they become the definite determining factors in self - that is, as to how far-reaching this whole activity is to be; as to intents, as to purposes; and that even without the self, the whole idea, the whole of the good is to be CONTINUOUSLY evolving throughout the experiences of the coming generations.

21. (Q) Please explain the difference between laying all on Him, and through inaction shirking one's task, and seeking thru action to find His way. (A) It is like that just indicated - as to how one analyses self in regard to any given problem or condition. What is the purpose in the individual or self's

relationship! Is it that there may be gratified an idea in self, or to be WITHOUT self to the glory of GOOD as in Him? Or, to put in another manner: To lay all on Him is to be willing to say in self, "Not my will but Thine be done. Use me as THOU seest fit." While, working out to His glory in self is, "Lord, I am willing - but let me tell you how!"

22. (Q) Is my inactivity due to lack of confidence in myself, enhanced by the palpable insecurity of the group? How may I get a clearer perception of His will? (A) Enter into the better communion with Him, IN the within-self. This will give the better understanding, the better awakening.

23. (Q) I have used service as love's symbol, but somewhere have missed. Where? (A) WHO is to find fault? He did not! He does not! He only gives, ever - "Listen - listen to that within - I will speak and direct the way." Reserve nothing within - as to purpose, as to individuality or as to personality; but wholly for love, for service. For, "He that will be the greatest among you will be the servant of all."

24. (Q) How may I know when the will to a course of action is justifiable, or when I am forcing my own personal will which may lead to inaction which is equally unjustifiable? (A) By the listening within - there is the answer. For, the answer to every problem, the answer to know His way, is ever within - the answering within to that real desire, that real purpose which motivates activity in the individual. These appear at times to become contradictory, of course; but know - as the illustration has been used here - attunement, atonement and at-onement are ONE; just as the inner self is that portion of the infinite, while the self-will or personality is ever at war with the infinite within - for the lack of what may be called stamina, faith, patience or what not. Yet each entity, each soul, knows within when it is in an at-onement.
